I'm not usually a big fan of Satire or Parody themed shows in general, but I kept an open mind since this is so popular. To be completely honest, I pretty much hated the show for almost the entire time I watched it. I was set to rate it a 5 until we got to episode 10, then the ending and development/twists created from that changed my entire perspective on the show and bumped it up to an 8 for me. I have never changed my opinion on a show upwards more than one point before after reaching 3/4th episode, much less 3 whole points. ... For that reason, I had to come review this one. If you're like me and at the beginning thinking this show is annoying/slow/not liking the characters.. just wait it out. All of it will grow on you. You may not rate it as highly as I have, but I'm positive you won't regret having finished it.

This is the most underrated show of 2020. A hidden gem that desperately needs to be shared and discussed more. It is so funny without being forced. Every character is amazingly well designed visually and integrally. The music is great and creates such a fun ambiance. I genuinely enjoyed this so much, even though the episodes are four minutes long, I felt like I had just watched a full-fledged episode at the end; it was that satisfying. I would recommend this show to anyone, young or old, male or female shounen or shoujo fan anyone.

This is the best short anime I've ever seen ... bar non and it can actually compete in my top 25 anime of all time even with how short it is, I literally cannot recommend this high enough. Go watch if you haven't yet.

This work is an incredible blend of media that uses footage of historical artifacts like journals, letters, clothing, and war footage to tell the stories of a class of young girls who died in the bombings of Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945.

The story ebbs and flows with footage of the dead children's surviving family members then to animated scenes based on content found within their journals leading up to the event. You watch as their elderly parents, wrinkled and hobbling cry as they cling to what's left of their torn apart uniforms, talk to them at their graves, and play a song they composed for ... when they might meet again before knowing of their death. It is truly tragic and such a beautiful way to personify the words on paper and help people understand the depth of loss from Hiroshima. Watching them die on screen broke me in a way I'm not sure how to recover from if I am being honest. They don't make anime like this anime, but I wish that they did. I needed to watch this.

I know I'm rating it a little high for just an OVA/Special, but I really enjoyed it. It an odd coincidence that I found this right in the middle of season three, but its extremely pertinent to watch this before the licencing exam arc in season 3. Otherwise, it looks like they had no rescue training at all. Especially Yaomomo's explanation of what to do and not do during a rescue mission had clear connections to Deku's reaction in episode 18 and 19 of season season III. ALSO THE STAIRS IDEA USING STUPID MINETA'S BALLS WAS BRILLIANT. I hate how useful he is lol.

tldr; Make ... sure to watch this before season III

When I first watched started watching this, I really hated it. I thought the main character was obnoxious and painful to watch, and that there was no overarching plot to carry the story along. BUT it eventually picked up, it was the longest I've ever waited for an anime to pick up without dropping it, but I'm really glad that I did not drop it after-all. Around episode nine, the plot of the show is revealed, and the show grows in depth. The character begin getting more development, and the plot is interesting with little twists, and mysteries. Even the main character's ... original explicitly obnoxious behavior is explained, and honestly I'm glad they spent so much time developing her lack of skills and stubborn nature to the degree that they did because without it, the plot of the second half the show would've been much weaker.

tldr; Give it a shot even though the beginning feels somewhat unbearable at times, it makes up for it and explains it. 8/10

By the way, I never watched the movie that everyone else seems to have watched before this, so this is just a review of this show as a standalone.
