Ashita no Nadja

In the anime Ashita No Nadja, Nadja, an orphan, joins a traveling street performance act called the Dandelion Troupe because she finds out her mother might be alive. She travels across Europe and finds many friends along the way that teach her things about herself. She also wears a brooch around her neck that a bunch of thieves are after. In the anime Nadia: Secret Of Blue Water, Nadia, also an orphan, grew up in a circus. She travels across Africa trying to find out where she's from while all the while she is being hunted down for her jewel known as the Blue Water. Nadia also finds out her father might be alive. You can see the similarities. Both anime combine traveling to find out things about themselves, romance, and adventure. So, I am almost positive if you like one, you'll like the other.

Gad Guard

While GetBackers and Gad Guard both go in completely different directions with their stories, they both have the same urban feel and similar character interactions. On top of that, they have similar upbeat music and intense action sequences. GetBackers contains a good bit more comedy than Gad Guard, but Gad Guard still has a fair dosage as well. In conclusion, if you like the overall atmosphere of one of these series, you would probably find a sense of familiarity in the other and like it, at least to some degree.

Koi Kaze

I recommend Angel Sanctuary and Koi Kaze because they both center around unlikely love interests. Both animes feature a serious look at incestual relationships between a brother and sister and how they deal with their feelings, society, and the repercussions of such a relationship. If you're looking for an atypical love overcoming all odds type of story, these two animes are a good place to start. Besides the taboo love themes though, the main difference between the two is that Angel Sanctuary is heavily fantasy based, while Koi Kaze is a set as a reality drama.

Hime-chan no Ribbon

Fancy Lala and Hime-chan No Ribbon are both mahou shoujo series that aren't heavy in the "magical" area, but are still quite girly. The two series are more focused on the daily problems we face; and they show that life isn't easy, even if we have magic. I definitely think that both titles have a similar direction sense. There's some hints of romance, and the main characters are both naive, but strong-minded. Hime-chan No Ribbon and Fancy Lala will give you a great lingering impression.
