Erased - much like the name of this anime, I have found it continuously erasing itself from my memory. This is also an anime that I have dropped 5 times because of how painstaking it is to watch it in the beginning, but I think it also pays off in the end.
It basically covers some guy that time travels to uncover a mystery, but the mc is so annoyingly pathetic that it makes it hard to watch (hence the continuous dropping). Once you get past the original first few episodes, it all comes together nicely and the plot isn’t too bad.

You start Tokyo Ghoul, get through the introductory plot points, move on to season 2 which is intentionally made to deviate from the plot of the author, then get a complete 180 BACK to the original plot after they were being explicitly told not to do it. So they then try to reverse the original things they were trying to do in the second season. I mean surely things like this have some form of review process?? There has to be a management team or some supervisors that can point out this ...

Black Clover is a 12 episode anime stretched out into 170 episodes. It is a whole lot of nothing, you’re gonna finish this and question your life choices that led you to do absolutely nothing but watch this brainless dribble of a show.
Firstly, the characters are extremely one-dimensional and surface level. I don’t know the best way to explain this without spoiling, but they get NO character development throughout the entirety of the 50 hour snooze fest. In fact, I think that nearing the end they were starting to regress and their ENTIRE personality began to get centred over one trope. Let me put this ...

I completely do not understand why Pluto has such a high rating.
I get that it's a niche watch, but acclaimed critics scored this a "masterpiece", along with other titles like "the best netlifx original". Firstly I'd like to say that the animation is overrated - I could see the individual frames in most scenarios and even the "fights", which lasted 3 seconds lacked substance. It essentially follows a detective who is trying to uncover some plot or whatever, but it just lacks any depth on the combat side of things, and I just generally think there were some plot holes. Completely unrealistic and overly ambitious with ...

When I think of overrated, I immediately think of mob psycho.
Sure, it has alright characters, alright jokes and alright animation, but people frequently blow this out of proportion. That's all it is in my view - alright. And that's not a bad thing, especially for a light watch. But don't be deceived into thinking it has some kind of major plot line that will blow you away. The characters to me seem to be pretty bland and generic for the most part so I'd recommend it but with skepticism over the inflated rating. It was truly a load of nothing.

Failed remake of sword art online. The character is lousy, uninteresting and generally a coward - the opposite of what you would expect in fiction such as this.
My main problem is the main character, the art style and animation here is subjective as it’s neither bad nor amazing but you might like it, just isn’t for me. This story remains predictable from the beginning to end and some characters are unintentionally over exaggerated. Also at some points it seemed like the characters weren’t real in the way they reacted to this new reality Overall I’ve got mixed feelings on this one, not as horrible as some other adaptations ...

Great story with very fast pacing - the beginning is a bit boring and cliche though.
Originally came in expecting very little, the beginning failed to drag me in and the characters spoke monotonously at times in almost robotic sentences, there was no processing in between words they just blurted it one after the other, the use of slang was also a bit cringe and failed to add much. Nevertheless, it’s a great story and everything about it is unique and original. I think what separated this from other anime is the timeskips, ost and ending. This animation is absolutely awful - the worst I’ve seen in years. It’s gotten the shield hero s2 and promised neverland s2 treatment. Why can’t these animation studios just go work on something else if they have such a low budget and stop ruining these art styles?
They’ve also skipped a lot out of the manhwa and left the bad things in 😭, the only appeal that really kept me in from season 1 was the art style and they’ve ruined it, steer clear. At one point a fight scene looked like it was made on scratch or flash in the early 2000s, such an unfaithful adaptation. |
