both have a thriller/mystery element to them, a deeper plot to look into and are both just fantastic shows. also if you watch death note first you'll spot an easter egg in death parade which is fun

these movies deal with relationships where one character is "different", and also deal with the concept of "disappearing". both of them made me super emotional and got me invested in the plot/development of the relationships very quickly.
