Its pretty lack luster and poorly adapted.
I know this is something that people say alot however i think its important in this case and not some badge of honour BUT, As someone who read the Manga i can say that this isnt a very good adeptation but its not all bad the Comedy aspects delivered by the Slimes is second to none, its really funny at times and honestly they make the show, however the Main Character is so unbelievably boring and has zero emotions or depth,, he just wonders around doing things on a whim.
However the worst offender in the series is
...
how rushed and non sensical the ending was, he pretty much spent 2 Episodes being over powered by the main bad guy on to then magically be able to use his most powerful ability without restrictions or cool down without any explanation, which is annoying in any series as it just seems like a "Deus Ex Machina" however its worse in this series as him running out of Mana and avoiding the consequences of doing so has been a continuous theme throughout the series and for them to suddenly decide to throw that away seemed odd to say the least.
All in all if you like Isekai this isnt any where close to being the worst offender however this series is pretty much as generic as it comes it dosnt even have its own interesting Niche, there are better Tamer Isekai out there and there are certainly better Slime anime out there.

I litterally have no idea why this is Rated as "Good" that is a far too mediocre score for this anime.
The premise of the show sounds really generic and if you watch only the first episode (Like im sure all of the reviewers who rated this below 5 did.) you would think this is a "Magic school anime where students learn to control their powers" type of Anime and it isnt at all infact that dosnt come up and there isnt a single scene where someone is "Learning to use their power"
Ill keep this short because i really beleive this is something you
...
should watch.
Its an Anime with amazingly compelling characters with some really emotional scenes both because they were great and others because they were sad, if there is something to knit pick about it is this: The anime has a pretty misleading start about what the anime is going to be about so it may put you off however keep going it changes and lastly there is some hilariously bad "Engrish" in this anime both with foregin bad guys as well as someone singing but it isnt that bad and the screen time is short.
MEDIUM SIZED SPOILER TO TELL PEOPLE WHY THEY MIGHT NOT LIKE THIS ANIME BELOW HOWEVER ID STILL SAY ITS NOT THAT BAD AND ACTUALLY ADDS TO THE STORY AND MAKES SENSE.
FINAL SPOILER WARNING
There is Time Travel in this Anime.

Not sure why all these reviews are written by people that didnt like the Parent show so here is a review from someone who objectivly likes the series and can still tell you the faults.
TLDR
Its the same fun but with a little less action and alot more comedy.
-MINOR SPOILERS-MINOR SPOILERS-MINOR SPOILERS-MINOR SPOILERS-MINOR SPOILERS-
STORY
If you enjoyed the Parent show then you're of course going to like this show that is the events of the Original Series but told from the "Side Characters" perspective, i use Commas here because in my opinion all the Characters in the series are really interesting but more
...
on that later.
The story adds alot of finer details to the story as well as what the other characters are thinking an example of this is when Tatsuya is attacked buy the Glasses guy at the school while he was on patrol and how the Girls (Honoka, Eimi and Shizuku) try to solve the mystery of the guys identity gettin into conflict along the way, another example is during the Sports events when the investigate the "Accidents" Overall it was extremly enjoyable.
ART
The art is what you would expect froma modern anime, it was crisp and the magic looks amazing as always, the animation of Miyuki dancing and flying during the sporting event is also alot better than the original.
SOUND
Again as you would expect, does it stand out as the greatest sound design in a series, no but its still good again especially the magic sounds.
CHARACTER
The best part of Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei is that all the characters are unique and relevent, the series gives you more of the team you love so whats not to like, the Series also introduces the 3rd High students who the 1st high girls go against in the sports and the are also amazing and lovable characters with their own personailties and depth, i really hope we see more of those characters in the future as they deserve to be shown more.
ENJOYMENT
Overall enjoyment is high however there could be some problems or not depending on your view point, first of all there isnt alot of Violent action in the series apart from flashbacks from what you have already scene but there are a few new ones that i enjoyed but id still argue this series isnt as action heavy as the first season and especially not when compared to the "Visitor Arc"
2nd there is alot more Comedy in this season, i found it well placed and found it enjoyable especially the Comedic duo that is Watanabe and Saegusa when the are taking like hearted jabs at the Shiba pair for these relationship, the Gag this season is the duo acting out what the siblings are doing but in a more dramatic way whilst trying to impersonate their voices which had me cracked up.
OVERALL
If you enjoyed all the other installments of the series then of course you're going to enjoy this, if you didnt surprise surprise you wont like this either, not sure why you'd watch the techinically 3rd season of something you hate just to leave it a bad revies but who knows these days.

I want to preface this by saying i really enjoyed this anime, im used to watching more "serious anime" so having this relaxing slice of life anime was a nice change of pace. The story was easy to follow with very little real conflict, the characters were vibrant and entertaining and was overall a pretty enjoyable Anime, However...
...
Spoilers Starting below
After finishing the series and enjoying it so much i decided id go take a look at the Manga and oh my god did they miss out so much stuff when making this into an Anime, ALL conflicting between Humans as well as some pretty interesting characters were completly axed from the Anime, some of the changes make sense due to not wanting to "Waste time" such as the Mines expedition arc taking place over several days instead of everything happening all at once. the Goblin Extermination also happened completly differently in the Manga and in my opinion far better, the biggest change however came from a group of young demihuman adventurers who were following the MC's group in the Mines and taking the monster corpses they left behind due to them being weak and needing to do this to make a living, after being confronted about it it turns out these Kids used to be the people who would Clean the Public Toilets until the Nobles did their Nobles thing making that story come full Circle.
Shortly after this encounter the MC meets these children again being confronted by some of the other adventurers calling them Thieves and encircling them however when the MC goes to clear up the situation the adventurers turn out to the thieves and attack the MC and the Kids, the MC loses control of this emotions and massacres them, this is the first time when the MC notices his emotional maturity seems to have changed since starting a new life.
I guess in closing id say the Anime is good and worth the watch however the Manga is much much better.

--SPOILER FREE--
I never watch slice of life/romance anime, i thought they were tacky and trash, Just like Code Geuss changed my mind about Mecha, Horimiya changed my mind about Romance.
Im gonna keep it short because long reviews are obnoxious.
The Story is fine, its average, their arnt any profound life changing events that happen that will alter your perception of life, its based in reality, a guy who was socially isolated in middle school and had no friends has a chance encounter and begins to come out of his shell.
Where this anime excels is in its Characters, everyone is interesting, everyone is human, everyone
...
has struggles and insecurities even the side characters, the interactions the Characters have and the situations they find themselves in are hilarious and heartwarming.
There arnt any cringe moments and for the most part there isnt any overly cliche tropes, i say overly because its impossible not to have any, the only this that some and i mean "Some" people mind find a little annoying is some very minor Tsundere Slapstick Violence from Hori, its definatly not on the level where its cringe worthy infact i thought it was funny.
In Short if you're not sure about the Anime and cant decide whether to watch it or not just watch it, im a pretty hard nut to crack and even i laughed more than once.

This Anime is the epitome of a 6, it has a perfactly good premise and is enjoyable to watch however it does nothing brilliant and a couple of things badly, Let me explain:
The premise of being in a Fantasy video game like world is one we are all familiar with and id wager most enjoy considering you're here looking at this Anime, This Anime has all the features that you would expect it to have however it dosnt really do any of them better than those Anime before it.
To be completely honest, its an easy watch with a good premise but isnt
...
really excellent at anything, if you like the premise then "Sword Art Online" or "Log Horizon" are miles above this, one of my biggest let downs with this Anime is that there is ZERO character development, the Protagonist is like Shirou Emiya from the Fate series, "I do things because JUSTICE!!!"

Nekopara, you're either going to love it or hate it, its a fun watch but ultimately you're going to fall into one of two camps, you will either have no idea what Nekopara is and find this garbage, or know what Nekopara is and be disappointing, Let me Explain:
This review has minor character arch spoilers.
Nekopara was originally an Adult Visual Novel of the 18+ variety, in these games you will eventually form an adult relationship with each of the girls making them your "Catpanions" this is supported by some pretty good Character development and individual unique Character archs, these games did a fantastic job
...
of developing each of the characters, this does not carry over into the Anime and how could it as it for obvious reasons cannot include 90% of the Source material.
I rated the story of this anime a 5, where in the original games id say it would be an 8, i could enjoy this anime because i am familiar with the characters and their quirks (As i am a man of culture.) if you are an Anime only viewer then you will see these interactions as ridiculous and overused, for example:
Coconut, the biggest of the Cat girls is constantly breaking things and messing up in the Anime, this is funny but quickly gets boring as you know what is going to happen every time you see her on screen, in the VN she actually has character development, you find out that the reason why she is so clumsy is because ever since the newer cat girls came into their household she was no longer the "Youngest" and needed to start acting like a good big sister, unfortunately she also suffers from extremely low self esteem causing her to panic and mess things up, this is never implied or expanded upon in the Anime therefore she comes across as extremely annoying.
That being said i do believe it is possible to watch and enjoy this Anime even if you're not familiar with the franchise, it is funny and has some pretty heartfelt moments, however if you're expecting something profound and thought invoking then skip it, but lets be honest, we all know you're here for Neko girls and head pats.

Even if you dont like Mecha Anime watch this show anyway.
I never expected to like this Anime but i ended up enjoying it alot. If you enjoy Anime such as "Steins Gate" or "That time i got reincarnated as a Slime" you will enjoy this Anime, do not be put off by the Protagonist looking young it really isnt a factor, even if you dont like Mecha Anime you should give this a watch, Let me explain:
The story of the Anime isnt anything fancy or deep it is as simple as:
"The Protagonist really likes robots so he becomes and Overpowered engineer and
...
makes them"
That being said their are clear story archs that are definitely interesting to watch however there isnt really an overarching main narrative.
The Protagonist much like in other Anime such as "Kenji no Mago" and "That time i got reincarnated as a Slime" are extremely knowledgeable and powerful in their own unique way, this creates some hilarious moments where the Protagonist will create something or do something so shocking to everyone around them while they had no idea it was that big of a deal or not knowing how difficult of a feat everyone else perceives this to be, it is much like "Kenji no Mago" in this sense.
The art style of the anime is pretty great, the characters are well designed and the Mecha arnt a disgusting CGI fest like in other anime which is always nice, the fight scenes are really well choreographed and dont have an over reliance on lasers flying everywhere like in other Mecha Anime.
I've NEVER liked Mecha Anime, im not really into Sci Fi that much so giant robots flying around in space shooting aliens is my perceived notion of what "Mecha Anime" is boy oh boy does that not apply here, i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed this anime when i really didnt think i was going to.
One downside of the Anime of which i find extremely irritating is when Characters are obviously crushing on each other but one character (Usually the Male Character) is too dense to notice, its not abundant in this Anime but it does happen on more than one occasion, if this irritates you id still recommend watching this although it frustrates me i didnt find it ruining the experience too much.

Akame ga Kill is a pretty good anime with some of the best fight scenes of any anime i have seen, Akame ga Kill does a fantastic job of showing both sides of the story and manages to make you empathise with both the "Heroes" and the "Villains" However it does have some downsides and some major annoyances, Let me explain:
Minor Spoilers ahead:
In the opening Episode you are swiftly punched in the gut when you realise what kind of world this is, it is full of injustices and that is soon realised by the Protagonist when he finds out the Fate of his
...
childhood friends, this sets a good precedent for the rest of the Anime as you soon realise people are going to die in this Anime, You will either like this fact or hate it however when done well i firmly believe that this adds to a series as you fear for the characters safety whenever they are in danger a direct opposite to Super Hero movies where you know the Hero will overcome Evil with barely a scratch.
Problems start to arise when these deaths seem ridiculous and without meaning and this does unfortunately seem to happen in this series quite often, Characters that have survived for a long time and follow a strict code will suddenly break their own rules and do something stupid for no apparent reason which will cause their death, this seems to be a theme that is repeated ad nauseum.
Character development is pretty Hit and Miss, some characters have some great character development with a chilling past where others are pretty 2 Dimensional, you are then expected to care when something happens to them. On the other hand the "Bad Guys" also get some pretty good development making them seem Human with their own dreams and desires, The family man, avenging a family member and keeping a promise are just some such examples.
The pacing of the series was also pretty good, it did seem rushed in some areas but not enough for you to be confused or notice too much.
Over all i would definitely recommend Akame Ga Kill it is a pretty decent anime.

Was this Anime an absolute masterpiece? No.
Is it worth the watch? Yes.
Let me explain, Minor spoilers ahead:
The MC is a pretty likeable bad ass character with a shady backstory and early hints of a tragedy in his youth, the female cast are all unique in the own way and for the most part dont play into overall anime tropes.
The overall world building was left purposefully vague however you were given just enough information so that you wern't confused.
The problems come in when some things are quite poorly explained and this anime does suffer from some serious pacing issues, especially when
...
less that half way through the series they have a Padding Episode that has no bearing on the actual overarching story as well as Zero character development however saying that the episode is hilarious and had me grinning the entire way through.
The anime does unfortunately leave you wondering "Whats the point" towards the end of it due to the main antagonists being a shadowy faceless group that wants to "expose" the girls parentage as to get her thrown out of the Nobility she is apart of, its never really explained why anyone really cares as its not even the girls family behind the plots but whatever, the other issue is its also never explained why these magical soldiers are needed and why the "Bad guy" mutant, werewolf, vampire things even exist.
If you can ignore these things it is definitely an enjoyable anime to watch, im told that the pacing is alot better in the Manga however this is a Second hand account as i myself have not read it and the time im writing this.
If a second season is ever announced i would definitely watch it.
