i'm a manga enjoyer who sometimes watches anime. i'll read pretty much anything that looks interesting, but my favorite genres are action, romance, fantasy and historical.
A Shounen Jump title with not much publicity, huh... I haven't read much shounen but the magazine seems so popular I forget that there's titles no one has ever heard of if they didn't go out of their way to look at places like the Shounen tag in this place.
Yeah, Something's Wrong With Us did feel odd but I also didn't really think or know that marriages of convenience were a thing until reading more stuff like Is Love the Answer? and I Want To Be a Wall. It feels like unspoken word that marriage is otherwise always based in love or something. Is one of the problematic characters the male lead for you? Because I can see that, I think I felt the same way... but reading it really did bring me back to the author's Kitchen Princess roots with how the main character needs to prove herself :P
Gokurakugai? Never heard of that one.
I haven't read past volume 1 of Something's Wrong With Us, and I'd like to, but I do want to read other works from the same author first.
Sounds like it was worth the read... how much it took you three times though, if you don't mind me asking?
Oh no, please take care of yourself while you keep at it!
I'll try to knock out some new manga again this year too! What new series have you enjoyed lately?
Oh wow, that's probably more different series than I was expecting to see! I guess I can imagine that you're not into the niche types like I've been getting into lately... I mean I guess I kinda have specific reasons for being so selective lately, but can you really call it selective if it's a variety of random short series that most people have never heard of and therefore might not be open to reading? lol
Which of those in your collection is probably your favorite find, by the way?
Makes sense. Pretty much most if not all of the manga I've been buying over the past few years are short and completed, so that's why I thought I'll be able to get to those first. Do you like collecting short series too? Wait, what series do you even have, since we're talking about collections? I don't think I know what your collection is like and I'm not sure if you posted on any collection threads about it before.
Sorry for late reply, but honestly, I have no idea! Right now I guess I am trying to prioritize the manga I've actually found and collected since I've been buying so many over the past few years but haven't gotten around to them... and yet I'm procrastinating and still picking up a few series from my local library haha. Do you have a system for yourself with your TBR list?
A lot of my first anime and manga were mahou shoujo series that were also in the shoujo demographic—Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tokyo Mew Mew... oh and some more "typical" fare like Kitchen Princess. Those might make for a good start, though it seems people online also started with stuff like Fruits Basket, Dengeki Daisy, Skip Beat, and Ouran High School Host Club.
A good amount of Sakura-Hime seems to be hard to find, but volume 4 is especially pretty bad when it comes to the secondhand market. I got lucky with that one!
Hello, Azure! I haven't read much of it, I remember reading at least the first volume before I managed to find the whole series (even volume 4)! Lucifrost has been telling me it's good too, I'll be sure to actually continue reading it soon. What else have you been reading? c:
O really? A rhythm game??? O I like to watch YouTube on my lunch break, I'll have to find it! "Petit Seka" Is that the name on YouTube of the series :0

I'm fine, how about you? I've been trying to keep up on manga I borrowed lately...

You might want to also ask some of the people I tagged alongside your name that one time too!
Wish I could now but I am at work lol
Nobody needs to know ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)
Also sorry for the late reply, I get too busy to function sometimes lol
They are very very precious lil babies! Do you like the anime? Would you recommend it? Because I wouldn't mind watching an anime with them 😊😊
