The show starts out with the main character, Kouichi Sakakibara, being hospitalized right before the start of the new school year. But once he gets out of the hospital, he finds out about a mysterious curse going around class 3-3, the class he was put in.
Throughout the anime, you uncover more about the truth of the curse and what's behind Mei's eyepatch. There are also quite a lot of gruesome deaths in here so if you're not into that, I suggest you not watch this. The character designs weren't exactly the best since there's always a mysterious girl in the horror genre, but it isn't that ...

This anime follows the main character, Jinta Yadomi, after the ghost of his childhood friend visits him. The show starts out by showing that he is a dropout and doesn't really care about anything besides video games. But a visit from the ghost of his childhood friend changes everything.
Anohana will make you cry so make sure you have a box of tissues with you. However, the story behind it isn't something I've seen before in an anime.
