Wow was I suprised after I watched the first episode of this show, it has an extremely misleading title. When you see Asura Cryin, you think slice of life, or romance, you dont think at all that it would be a battle anime, but lo and behold it is.
the story hasnt been fully hashed out after the first episode, so I wont really go into it, but there are battles, and ghosts, and magic, and mystery, and big suits of armor, so I think it will be worth the ride.
Art is solid, nothing out of the ordinary. the Designs on the armor are pretty slick
...
though.
Sound again pretty average, the opening was catchy and had a cool Techno beat.
The characters werent explained a whole lot but its got a pretty big twist on the main heroin, the fact that shes not alive provides an interesting obstacle to be over come by the main hero.
As far as the first episode goes, it was very enjoyable, the show has sort of a Chrome Shelled Regios feel to it, with a touch of Escaflone. If you enjoy high school life/ Battle anime, I would definetly check this one out.
P.S. This review will (probably) be updated after the show is over.

first off, this show is absolutely hilarious. but that doesn't stop it from being serious as well. This show is the perfect hybrid of shounen battle stories mixed with gag stories, with a touch of romance. Think of it as Rurouni Kenshin set in a different time period, with like 10x more comedy and Jump references.
Story-9
the story follows a Gintoki, a samurai who fought in the rebellion against the invading Amanto (aliens), Shinpachi, a samurai in training with an obsession with an idol, and Kagura, and Amanto with amazing strength and an appetite to match it, in their Yorozuya Business (we'll do anything for money
...
kind of thing). The story flows from insane hilarity to epic struggles to heartwarming speeches, with unimaginable fluidity. A majority of the show is very episodic, in that each episode is stand alone "movie" like experience, making it very easy to jump in anywhere and begin watching. Not to mention how easy it is to watch, I blew through 105 episodes in about 3 weeks, its that good.
Art-9
the art is absolutely unique with superb character designs and fluid animations that are easy on the eyes. while the characters may seem rather plain at first glance (like you probably couldnt tell most of them just by looking at silhouettes) they really are much deeper character designs, than that of some other anime out there.
Sound-10
Some of the best OP and ED tracks that I have heard in anime in recent years. as well as the music in the episode that always seems to convey the right mood, with a majority of rock tracks that fit perfectly.
Character-10
one word, amazing, never have I ever cared about so many characters in 1 show. they all seem to have unique background stories that intertwine in different ways. pretty much every character is lovable and there is no character that I really hate. As well as the personalities of all of the characters, there is so much variety, from sadists, to stalkers, so revolutionists, to trusting comrades, to godlike warriors. it has just about everything for every one. Not to mention this show has produced one of my favorite characters of all time, Okita Sougo, the best swordsman in the Shinsengumi, who also happens to be a sadist. who has a nonchalant attitude towards most everyone and every thing (except for his commander and sister).... Just had to put in a shout out for my favorite character.
Enjoyment-10
I love this show, when I first started, I didnt think much of it and almost skipped over it, but after I got about 7 episodes in I was hooked. and loving every minute of it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesnt mind watching 100+ episode shows, or even if you dont like them, this show goes by so fast you dont even notice that you just watched like 40 episodes.
Overall-10
I love this show it is #2 on my list of favorite shows. so you should all go watch it.

words cannot describe how much I hate this show. the characters the story, just about every thing made me mad.
Story- starts out innocently enough with the usual guy trying to get a girl, and he does, in the first episode. and it just goes downhill from there. the guy, Makoto, cant seem to do anything right for his new found girlfriend, so he ends up cheating on her. thats about the jist of it, all thats left is the flurry of lust that follows. with women throwing themselves at makoto, and he just soaks it all in.
Art- the art is about the only decent thing
...
about this anime. while the character designs were rather bland and didnt offer anything new, but they were clean and crisp with fluid animations.
Sound- I couldnt bring myself to watch the opening all the way through, nor could I do so for the ending. the voic acting was decent, but again, nothing out of the ordinary.
Character- This was by far the worst part about this show. all of the characters are greedy and only out for themselves. there is nothing redeeming about any of them. not to mention the total 180 degree turn that the three main characters make about 4 episodes in, they completely change their mindsets. I thought that I could compare to Makoto, because I had gone through similar things. right up until episode 4 when everything changes, from there he just becomes more of a pig just lusting after any woman that talks to him. by the end he just does whatever can get his jollies.
Enjoyment- two thumbs down. so far down that I had to cut off my thumbs and bury them six feet under ground.

I dont usually write reviews for brand new shows, but this one blew my mind. though keep in mind that I have only seen the first episode. but as far as I could tell this is an action packed show that I had to force my self to blink because I didnt want to miss a second of the action.
story- from the first episode, it follows a group of super natural hunters that go and stop the apparitions from reaking havoc on the town. like I said before this show is almost non stop action that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Art-
...
the art style was top notch, from the character designs to the backgrounds to the apparitions. the only thing that keeps it from being a ten is that the larger apparitions (B Class) didnt have the best cgi on them, they lacked a bit of detail. But that was mad up for in how cool they were.
Sound- Though there wasnt much of an intro or ending theme to speak of in the first episode, the background music was phenominal and well placed. As well as all of the sound effects, every thing about the sound fit perfectly.
Character- again this is the first episode so they couldnt get too much characterization done, but what they did to was very enjoyable. the main character Touru is torchered by "that man" and wants revenge for the death of his girlfriend. Ill stop there so I dont give away too much but as far as the first episode goes the characters are very enjoyable.
Enjoyment- this is a fantastically done show and look forward to the coming episodes, although there was a huge twist at the end that makes me wonder what will happen... so yeah stop reading this and go watch it!!

first off I would like to say that this anime blew my mind, the very first episode that I saw didn't really stand out much it just seemed like a gundam clone. Then came the ending of that first episode, it was the first in a long line of twist each one better than the other. finally leading up to an epic cliffhanger ending.
story- This story is definetly for the intellectual type, the main character lelouche is a genius teenager who, when you get down to the bare bone, is out for revenge. Beyond that just the way that the story is set up with
...
the interactions between the characters is astonishing. And the irony, there is so much irony, and seeing when the characters are revealed the truth is absolutly mindblowing. Over all the story is one to remember and one that really needs to be experienced first hand.
art- Well this is my one complaint, while I do like that the art is stylized to fit its own story, its rather cartoony. It seems to be a trait that Clamp has to elongate the limbs, and personally I don't much care for that. But beyond that the mechs look superb and the fight scenes are done beautifully.
sound- The OP and ED songs to the first 12 episodes fit very nicely to the overall feel of the show. Also the sounds throughout the series fit well with the tone of what was going on. Though the OP song to the second half of the series seemed kind of out of place and didn't match the animations all that well. For the most part, though, I enjoyed the music.
character- I could go on and on about how amazing all of the characters are, some more than others though. I will try and limit myself though, it seems like there is something for every one in this department. The characters span a wide range of total jerk, to sweet princess, to someone you love to hate, to someone you just feel sorry for. All of the characters actions and interactions are absolutly amazing, and probably the best part about the show.
I would absolutly recommend this to any one who has ever watched any thing on TV, this is a stunning series and deserves to be so. So stop reading this and go watch it.
