From reading the synopsis you might think this manga sounds really lame or something. It's really the opposite.
In terms of the story, it's pretty original. Definitely not your typical shoujo, since we have both the guy and the girl (chiemi + akifumi) being totally dangerous people. The plot is pretty unpredictable and flows nicely. Pacing is great. This manga will make you burst out laughing a LOT. And the sweet moments aren't corny like in other shoujo. Everything is played out really well.
Art - appealing to the eyes. I usually have a standard on the art of a manga, because if the art isnt
...
that appealing and the plot doesn't seem too exciting.. I don't even feel like reading it. The author really knows how to draw out the funny moments too - its not too choppy and fits in perfectly.
Character - Like I mentioned - the two of them really make it different from your typical shoujo. chiemi can be a dangerous person who overreacts a lot, but still has a sweet side. akifumi the school rebel really changes because of chiemi, and yes you might see him as the typical bad boy, but he really cares about chiemi and sometimes he brings up the sweetest things that makes all the problems go away.
This manga is exceptionally enjoyable. Definitely a page turner. HILARIOUS moments, more comedy than romance but the romance is still there of course.
Overall, I really recommend this manga for anyone who's looking for a good romantic comedy.

A short 2-volume manga by the same author of the well-known romance, Hana-Kimi.
The story revolves a girl, Maya, who has a growing talent - skating. She starts out at a public skating rink and does an advanced skating technique for the first time just from watching it on TV. Coincidentally, she is spotted by a guy who wants to pair her up with a more advanced skater, Shun. He is at first arrogant and cold about having to be her coach. The story progresses with her practicing, learning, and bonding with Shun. The plot is predictable, but you can't expect too much out of a
...
2 volume manga.
Art: appealing and flows with the story. I've always loved Hana-kimi art so I knew I wouldn't have a problem with this one.
Characters: again, a 2 volume manga doesn't have much room for character development, but there is some. Shun is like Sano from Hana-kimi, doesn't like to open up but in the end he does. His friend Oda reminds me of Nakatsu because of his carefree personality. The confident Maya reminds me of Mizuki. I don’t know if the author meant for this to happen but if you read this you'll see the connection.
Enjoyment: I really liked it. Although the characters were not as original, the concept was. There aren't many skating manga so I give props to Nakajo for doing this project. Also, I took lessons for 5 years so I was interested in how she was going to play this out. She really did her research, though.
Overall: your typical shoujo, worth a read.

I thought this movie was a good side story. What I really liked was the fact that we got to see Ichigo and Rukia killing hollows and people of Karakura actually being there. We get to see their reactions, and what happens when Ichigo just leaves his body lying around.
We are introduced to a character named Senna. I didn't really feel for Senna because she was just too happy-go-lucky for me. But I did like how Ichigo was forced to follow her around. The scenes of her memories really pulled me into wanting to know her past, but we find out who she
...
really is near the end. Although it was sad and a bit disappointing to see her fate, the ending was beautiful, I really liked it.
A few things could have been improved on in this movie (too many characters that weren't really needed). this movie is not as action packed as the series. Might be a good watch for some people, but its nothing special.

Myself Yourself is a slice of life, drama, and romance anime. The first episode caught my attention because the cute little story of their childhood was touching. As I went on with the first 5 episodes, it seemed like a very typical slice of life anime that certain types of people might enjoy. But for me, it was very boring at times and the pace was too slow. The one thing that kept me going was the desire to learn more about their pasts.
The second half of the anime series was over-dramatized, which made me realize that they put in a few useless characters when
...
really the story should have been focused more on the main characters since it is a slice of life and the airtime is short. The ending was unsatisfying because it was like they were spilling out all the information at the very end.
I think the greatest flaw in this anime was the characterization. It was horrible. Nanaka was very hard to figure out. She was quiet, girly, innocent, violent, all at once. It was very hard to follow her actions during the first few episodes, and we don't find out why until around the second last episode.
The art was appealing I will admit. Thats probably another aspect that lead me to actually finish the series. Music - the OP+ED are pretty good.. bgm is ok.
If you enjoy drama anime and don't mind watching half the episodes without the actual drama, then you MIGHT like Myself Yourself. If you are looking for a nice romance anime, I do not recommend watching this. The character development is really off and it ruins enjoyment.

Story: Kare Kano is a longer shoujo series filled with romance, drama, and the life of teenagers. We get to see the life of a high school couple overcoming many obstacles. This being a long 102 chapter manga, a lot of things happen. It is not a typical school/romance, you will notice.
Art: really unusual art. definitely not a commonly seen style, but appealing nonetheless.
Character: What's interesting is that yukino + soichiro are both very intelligent, and both pretend to be someone theyre not. The other characters, their classmates, add variety to the series with a bunch of side stories. The characters portrayed in this
...
manga are nothing of the recent more popular shoujo manga. Their personalities and interests are very widespread and unexpected, which makes you love them even more.
Enjoyment: Kare Kano can be pretty mellow, with long lasting moments and a steady moving pace. It is very light-hearted and typical in the first few volumes, and it begins to get more deep and dark in vols 13+, mainly because arima's past is revealed.
Overall: Read it. Not your typical romance, full of surprises, something the older teen audience would like. If you have seen the anime series, I definitely recommend this manga because it goes much more in detail.

Story: This manga follows a girl, Ayumu, who falls into a lot of drama through high school. I have no complaints for the story. situations and problems the main character go through - they really pull you in and make you want more. the plot is quite unpredictable and the pacing is fast.
Art: The art is explicitly drawn to invoke the deep emotions that Ayumu experiences. It goes in favour with this manga - destructive and full of emotion.
Character: The tough moments that ayumu has to go through are moving and you might be able to relate to it if you had similar experiences.
...
there are many 'evil' people in this manga, it's quite surprising actually. all of the characters are very realistic, like i said you can probably relate to her situations; the characters of this manga are the main complication of the storyline. the author portrayed many of them to have a terrible, evil mind on the outside, but we get to see why they have their bad personality later on. The characters are the main attraction of this manga. i have never been bullied to the extent that ayumu had, and i have never seen it like this before. This bully situation is what really hooks you in this manga.
Enjoyment: Life shows how great high school drama can go up to, and how harsh bullying affects a person. We develop a sense of compassion for the main character throughout the manga, and a sense of hate towards her classmates. I'm sure anyone who picks this up will not stop reading. This is a wonderful manga, I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to read a dramatic and fast paced series.
2015 Edit: The manga is finally fully translated for anyone to enjoy. Overall a great series, tons of relatable characters & relationships.
