I started watching the anime and instantly fall in love with it. Since I was curious about Chise's past and I didn't want to wait a whole week for the next episode, I took a look on the OVA. I'm so glad I did so. These 3 eps. were really enjoyable, with beautiful art and great soundtrack. It's like a mini story, completely different from the main plot, hence you don't have to worry about spoilers (maybe some really small ones, but nothing that would ruin your first time experience). Don't rate any anime after the first episode, whether you liked it or not. That was the most important message this series taught me. As much as I loved the first ep. and thought it will be the best anime of the season, that much I had to be disappointed in the following ones. Let me tell you the best part of the anime: the opening and ending is pretty decent. Ok, that was all the positives I could say. Now let see the problems. Storytelling is not great at all.
