Perfect yuri for Christmas.
Very cute and beautiful romance.
Great direction, visual style, seiyuu acting.
And nice ending by MEILIN, i have known this song for a long time.
Kanade and Yukino are very cute, they holding hands and sleeping together, this is how relationship between sisters should be (imo).
...
But duration is only 10 minutes, but these 10 minutes are made better than many 12-episode anime.
10/10, nothing to complain about
MAL wont let me post a review because "This review needs more information!" so here's a pancake recipe:
Ingredients
▢ 300 g all-purpose or plain flour
▢ 60 g granulated sugar or sweetener
▢ 18 g baking powder
▢ 0.25 teaspoon baking soda*
▢ 3 g salt
▢ 440 ml milk
▢ 60 g butter
▢ 10 ml pure vanilla extract
▢ 1 large egg
Instructions
Combine together the flour, sugar (or sweetener), baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large-sized bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the milk, slightly cooled melted butter, vanilla and egg.
Use a wire whisk to whisk the wet ingredients together first before slowly folding them into the dry ingredients. Mix together until smooth (there may be a couple of lumps but that's okay).
(The batter will be thick and creamy in consistency. If you find the batter too thick -- doesn't pour off the ladle or out of the measuring cup smoothly -- fold a couple tablespoons of extra milk into the batter at a time until reaching desired consistency).
Set the batter aside and allow to rest while heating up your pan or griddle.
Heat a nonstick pan or griddle over low-medium heat and wipe over with a little butter to lightly grease pan. Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan and spread out gently into a round shape with the back of your ladle or measuring cup.
When the underside is golden and bubbles begin to appear on the surface, flip with a spatula and cook until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve with honey, maple syrup, fruit, ice cream or frozen yoghurt, or enjoy plain!

A good, stylish romance anime but not without bad.
And the worst thing here is the visual quality.
The quality of drawing gets worse with each episode. And this is really bad because this anime has a very interesting idea and style, but poorly drawn moments completely ruins the atmosphere (and its not just low-quality, its literally drawn in a different style like it was drawn by other people, maybe it was outsourced or something like that).
But its nothing new, typical problem for anime industry - lack of quality in not very popular projects.
So, in Domekano we have romance and love triangle. And beside that, this is
...
a forbidden romance.
One of the main advantages of this anime is that its mature in a good way. The main character here is not an idiot who is chased by a group of girls, but serious calm adequate high-school student.
That is why this anime is already worth watching.
Domekano is not harem anime, its a quite decent love triangle with realistic feelings and moments.
The characters behave like adequate grown up people, have sex, think about the future and all that stuff.
I really miss this kind of anime and im really tired of these hyperreactions in anime and all that nosebleeding when someone sees pantsu (im not against pantsu, im against them annoying main characters who cant behave like normal people and who deceive girls and constantly let them down. There is something disgusting in this).
What i like in Domekano that the main character here does not chase after several girls at once, but reacts quite adequately when other girls show attention to him and he tries to ignore them. And since his love is forbidden and he tries to suppress his feelings this does not always work, which is understandable and realistic.
On the one hand the romance in Domekano is really good, characters are bright and interesting, the chemistry between them seems to work, but ... it still didnt really touch me. Its as if this anime lacks some ingredient that romance animes like Amagami and White Album 2 have. Maybe its because the feelings here are forbidden and all lovers constantly have to resist their feelings, hide them and deny them.
But of course there are a lot of beautiful romantic moments and they are made very stylishly, but unfortunately they do not make the viewer cry.
About the characters:
Natsuo Fujii is the main character who dreams of becoming a writer. He is not annoying (as it often the case with the main characters of anime), he even behaves older than his age. But you should not expect anything special from him, he is a completely ordinary guy.
Rui Tachibana (Rui-Rui >_<) - cute autistic silly imouto. Kudere. She is a little strange, but this makes her even cuter.
Hina Tachibana - an adult teacher. Usually serious and tries to act like an adult, but becomes very cute when drunk or when she stops trying to act too reserved. I would say that she has something of Rui in her - it was conveyed well that they are sisters and Hina shows this silly side in couple moments.
Secondary characters that was interesting to me:
Momo Kashiwabara - just an amazingly conveyed archetype. I knew several real girls who were just strikingly similar to her in everything - in the way they look, dress, behave, etc.
I really caught flashbacks while watching.
And well, i also like how the main character treated her. One of my favorite moments, cute in its own way.
Fumiya Kurimoto - the perfect friend. What would Natsuo do without him.
Masaki Kobayashi - Mari is gorgeous. A good example of how non-binary characters should be made. Japan did it better than the west lol. There is no feeling as if this character was added to the plot just because it was necessary, it feels perfect in place, there are funny comedic moments, an interesting backstory, and at the end, some reflections on life. A cool and bright character.
The rest of the characters are quite secondary and only play their role in certain moments. But in general there are no annoying characters here - in this part this anime is done excellently.
Style: Perhaps many will not see some unique visual style here, but it seems to me that it is there. The action takes place in our time and a lot of attention is paid to design: rainy streets of modern Japan, smartphones, minimalist interior designs and special attention to the girls outfits (modern fashionable city clothes). But unfortunately you should not expect much: the low quality of the visuals did not allow that style to be done really well. But the attempt is real and its look cool and unusual.
Music: not bad.
Extremely stylish opening with song by Minami, ending with Alisa Takigawa, and a couple cool songs in the anime itself.
But there are too few instrumentals in the anime itself (or they are too unnoticeable). But literally a couple of melodies are sounds quite good.
Now about the ending.
Well, to begin with - moment with photo is ridiculous. It was impossible to see anything in the photo of apartment's window in that distance and especially so clearly and with such detail. But here we can say that Hina and Natsuo would definitely have been caught one day since they hid their relationship not so well, so we can consider this photo as some kind of inevitability.
Ending here is obviously open.
Rui says that her sister can no longer hold her back and she starts kissing Natsuo, Natsuo does not resist but does not agree either so its unknown whether he chose to forget Hina and be with Rui or still remained faithful to Hina.
But Hina, apparently, has resigned herself to it and lives on. Her new hairstyle is a way to end the past and to start a new life. And the way she looks out the window with sadness - with sadness, but perhaps with hope?
Its not that i didnt like this end, but it feels like the story has not been completed. Its too unclear how the characters will live on and what path they chose.
Ok, lets say Natsuo became a writer and Hina was able to live on - but what about Rui? If Natsuo did not accept her feelings, this is worthy, but if he did, then he is just pathetic. After everything he has with Hina he moved on to her sister - its disgusting and mean. If it was another girl it would be understandable, but not with Rui... So, well, maybe it would be better to end it like in White Album 2.
But i must say that its a sad ending. Quite realistic and therefore sad.
My rating for Domekano is 7/10
This anime is mustwatch, but you need to be prepared for low-visual quality.

Well, the last movie.
Kara no Kyoukai is a very controversial anime, but i still like it, i like the characters, the atmosphere, the visuals.
But there are also too many strange, unnecessary, boring and illogical moments.
Same here - in the best moments this film gives the noir vibes: night city, dark colors, rain, lonely characters wandering the streets, gloomy thoughts...
The first half we see from Mikiya's point of view, and, despite all his Mary Sue, he is a very stylish and good-looking protagonist, i would even like to dress like that in real life (classic style in black)
Also i like the moment in the middle
...
of the movie where Touko stands with the night city in the background, smoke cigarette and thinks some cynical thoughts, if this is not noir then what is noir at all? And she is really cool in the end when she just smokes and acts very calm and cool about everything. I really like her.
And of course i like the romance between Mikiya and Shiki. They are a very cute couple.
So, all these moments is great.
But when the villain of this movie appears (the villain is very boring and uninteresting again), then everything goes wrong - the characters completely lose their logic, Mikiya becomes a completely illogical fanatic and forces Shiki to follow his fanaticism.
Seriously, why worry so much about a maniac who kills people of his own free will, does not hide it and also laughs at Mikiya's attempts to help him?
I dont see any real adequate reasons to help him. Its just stupid.
All the injuries at the end of the film could have been avoided if Mikiya had simply allowed Shiki to kill this maniac (and this happened in the end, in fact it was already self-defense).
So in the end nothing changed, but Shiki and Mikiya suffered and got wounded for no reason.
I will not say that Kara no Kyoukai a masterpiece franchise, but it has its advantages. I would still recommend watching this series of movies, despite all the bad, the good moments here are worth it.

Review contains spoilers.
I think the creators of this anime had a lot of good ideas, but almost none of them were done well.
Bokutachi no Remake is not a bad anime and it have its own advantages like:
- adult student life instead of a typical anime school
- cute girls (especially Nanako and Kawasegawa, i didnt like Shinoaki, but i'd say thats a matter of taste)
- music and graphics in a good level
The series is very similar to Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo but more realistic and with a time travel feature.
...
What else i liked: how the main character does not give up and always tries to find a way out so that there are no regrets in the future - in my opinion this is a very good message.
I also liked the idea that appears at the end - that the people around you should not be pulled along with you but they should be taught to achieve their dreams themselves.
Now about disadvantages:
- although the graphics is not bad, it lacks some unique style
- there is no romance at all - until episode 9 there is only light flirting and after episode 9 the main character immediately gets a wife and daughter without even explaining how they started dating
- the comedy is often bad and the supporting characters are too simple and undeveloped, almost like NPCs.
About the plot twist after episode 9: it looks like the episodes before 9 were made by the one group of people and the episodes after 9 by completely different group of people.
The difference is huge - in the future the plot is much worse, the new characters are boring and uninteresting and there is no those great student life vibes that were in the first half of the series.
The only thing that is good there is an adult Kawasegawa with a cute new hairstyle.
But when in the last episode the action returns to the past everything seems to fall into place again and its suddenly interesting to watch again.
But, despite all the disadvantages, its good anime to watch if there is no better option.
I would rate it 5/10
