Devilman Lady

You might think that I'm only recommending the two because they're both filled with gore and nudity, and they both take place in crapsack worlds. However, there's more to these two stories than death and prevalence of evil. The two stories deal with the concept of humanity becoming powerless with similar devices such as humans "ascending" to demons and struggling against a higher power(s). They both also include a similar twist in the middle, though it's better executed and more necessary in Berserk. If you like battles against higher powers (causality in Berserk, reality in Devilman Lady), dim views of humanity/religion, villains who spite the world, and heroes who question their humanity, you'll love either of these series.

Shingeki no Kyojin

Shingeki no Kyojin pretty much takes the plot of Devilman and adds an Ultraman garnish. In either show, we have an invasion of a hostile race that was once dormant, which is fought by using a hybrid of mankind and the evil race in question. Both include generous amounts of gore, horror, and action. If you want a really high-budget anime with a beautiful artstyle, check out SnK. If you want something with a lower budget but with better writing and execution, watch the Devilman OVAs.
