Really good, as expected of this. I was excited for this ever since the trailer, even if it was only 4 episodes. The problem with this special is that not only does it feel too short, but the battles felt kinda... Disappointing, if anything. I felt excited for the next episode, knowing something big would go down in a 4-episode-only special and the climax really built up near the 2nd or 3rd episode, but I suppose that's on me. It is nice, however, that the battle was well explained, there weren't any sudden power-spikes that turned the MC into Ragnarök that would eventually cause destruction ... upon the 3 realms (Just kidding). The battle was well fought, techniques were properly used and there was no silly talking, although there was still some conversation during the battle which is kind of... not fitting? Probably just me though. But because of how good this is, this gets 9/10 from me.

10/10, total masterpiece. I've been a donghua fan for quite a while, going around a good bunch of them, be it CGI or not, I enjoy them quite thoroughly.

Now, If you've never watched a CGI anime such as this, especially since the dub is Chinese, you might think I'm delusional or something, but trust me, you just need time to get used to It.

The story progression is amazing, although there would be a few filters, but It's greatly built.

The power progression is also amazing, everyone thinks of others as super-strong, but the truth is, they're barely at the bottom of the path of cultivation. ... This anime had a great potential and met it, and so will the 2nd season (Coming 2021) I reckon.

It's alright. If anything, the artstyle is disappointing when compared to the PVs. The only reason i'm giving it this high a rating is because I love OP main characters, otherwise it's a 5, maybe 6 at most. The story is great, but will probably fall near the end. The problem in this anime is, the story would be better If most side characters weren't obsolete. I think It's still an alright catch, and a lot of people could like It, seeing the tastes nowadays, but IMHO, It wasn't well executed. The soundtracks are just there as to not feel empty, meh.

Edit 1 (After finishing ... the anime) :

The ending was... eh. Overall, the whole season kind of... rushed through all the details in the manhua, trying to fit it all in one.

Also, unfortunately, there was no improvement in detail/animation in the last few episodes as i had hoped. There does happen to be a small teaser at the end of the last episode, possibly giving us a peek at what season 2 could be.

I, myself, am against it honestly. They need to either :
A) Hire a new studio, with better visuals/animations considering the budgets they would've got from the manhua.
B) Give the studio more time, maybe finish the season before it even starts airing.

If a season 2 truly does come, I really hope It's not as big of a disappointment as season 1 was.
