Story - 5: It was somewhat mediocre. It is actually really really hard to tell since Studio Deen is straight up dreadful. The story line was kind of jumpy and it did not deliver the hype I got from the previous 2 seasons. It felt unconnected often times. Since I, unfortunately, did not read the manga, I can't tell if it is actually the fault of the display of the storytelling or the story itself got worse over the time. (Stupid Studio Deen)
Art - 1: Straight up disappointing. Often times it looked messed up or the animators were super lazy and did not put any
...
effort in it. Just to highlight some atrocious moments:
- Why on earth would you decide to censor blood as white stuff?? And after that show uncensored blood just to switch back to censored blood again. Sometimes I was confused if the character is spitting out blood or threw up for some kind of reason.
- Fighting animations were often times super lazy animated. Like smacking all kinds of colorful areas on top of each other and add some flashing to intensify PTSD.
- Character design looked awful. The majority of the viewers definitely realized that many peoples in the background or characters that were shown in a crowd looked comical or super shit. Hairstyles looked completely messed up or faces were unprofessional animated. Honestly such a disgrace (looking at you Studio Deen) if you compare it to the beautiful artwork that were shown in the previous 2 seasons.
- The last episodes were the worst. Just an additional slap in the face with these horrible CGI shit approach. The holy knights looked awful, even comical. How they rode the horses or fought in some battles looked completely shit. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against CGI at all when it is used correctly but from my perspective, they were just fucking lazy and tried to get it done whatever the fuck it will look like. (Shame on you Studio Deen!!)
Sound - 4: I missed the goosebumps in epic scenes where the music was just smashing and highlighting the moments or fights. Unfortunately, the animations were lackluster and on top of it, the sound made it worse. I, honestly, can't remember any moment where I was blown away by the soundtrack in this season. (Studio Deen?)
Character - 6: Most of the characters from season 1 and 2 were empty shells of their former selfs. No personality whatsoever. Although, I enjoyed most of the character developments from the deadly sins, at least, or new characters that were introduced. Despite some very rushed and weird character developments, I could follow most of them. And in this case , it is hard to argue about whose fault it is, as well, since it's either the author or the studio. ( Pretty sure, it is partly Studio Deens fault though)
Enjoyment - 5: I enjoyed it somewhat but was pissed most of the time of the messed up storytelling and art style. I was actually excited for the third season despite season 2 being worse than season 1. But it went extremely down hill with this season. Although the story in season 3 looked more interesting than season 2 but Studio Deen just completely fucked it up and straight up murdered this Anime in my perspective (Thanks Studio Deen)
Overall - 4: Just straight up depressing how bad this third season was made. Even more depressing that the next season will be made by the same shitty studio. I would not recommend watching it since as a fan of Nanatsu no Taizai, you would only be disappointed and depressed of what Studio Deen did to this Anime. And for good measures: Fuck Studio Deen.
