Grand Blue

Grand Blue and Gintama are both over the top, comedy based, episodic series. Each features a small, yet diverse, cast of amusing characters taking part in a club/organization (Diving Club/Yorozuya Gin-Chan). Both, early on, have relatively minimal plot lines, focusing more on comedy than story. Both authors make use of intense facial expression within the series' humor.

Both series are relatively light-hearted romantic comedies that don't really focus much on drama and have very similar art styles. The main couple in both series is also very similar; Ozawa (Bonnouji) and Kaoru (Danna ga Nani...) are both hardworking office-workers who have an extremely cute side that sometimes shows and get pretty tipsy once they're drunk (especially Kaoru); Oyamada (Bonnouji) and Hajime (Danna ga Nani...) also have their share of similarities as both are glasses wearing guys who have strange hobbies and are pretty big dorks.

One Punch-Man

The most obvious comparison is that the two are both battle shounen with pretty great action sequences. Saitama (One Punch-Man) has some similarities with Gon (Hunter x Hunter): both are kind of dense, enjoy goofing off, have immense power even though they don't look like it, and can be pretty scary when they get serious. Genos (One Punch-Man) has some similarities with Killua and Kurapika (Hunter x Hunter): Genos and Killua both have natural skill, power, a cool sense of seriousness, and wish to catch up to their respective partners; Genos and Kurapika both have goals towards exacting revenge on those who wronged them. The enemies in both One Punch-Man and Hunter x Hunter have interesting designs and relatively well thought out backgrounds. I also found similarities between One Punch-Man's Heroes Association and Hunter x Hunter's Hunters Association as they both: have an exam to qualify, employ Heroes/Hunters in mass quantities, distinguish Heroes/Hunters by ranking, and strive to protect the world from any type of danger. Overall, both are enjoyable series. If you like action with some comedic value thrown in, these two are both great reads.

Written by the same author, Sorata Akizuki, both manga feature fantasy themed settings (princes/princesses, castles, magic, etc.) and involve romantic plots. Being by the same author, the beautiful art styles are obviously similar.
