Sakamichi no Apollon, in my opinion, was a great anime. The animation is what dragged me in. Usually I don't like reading the synopsis because I like "surprises". I watched both the subbed and the dubbed and the voice acting was amazing.

Kaoru and Sentaro had amazing backgrounds which made them seem like total opposites. Kaoru is a rich and smart kid with no place in his home and has a liking to classical music at first. Sen on the other hand is a poor kid and bad student with a really sad background which makes him have no place in society so he takes ... out his frustration through fighting and jazz music. Both of them are outsiders which make them become closer. Its a slice of life which means expect it to pull on your heart strings.

My least favorite character was Ritsuko since she rejected Kaoru's feelings after he kissed her since she liked Sen and then a year later she starts liking Kaoru. Although their relationship goes nowhere which is a real bummer cause I was looking forward to more development in that. Brother Jun and Yurika had an amazing relationship together which made up for it.

I especially liked how it didn't end with a "What happened to Sen?" Ending. It's rare to find anime series which go +8 years Into the future to show how each of the characters have developed in their lives.

Overall, Sakamichi no Appollon had an outstanding animation, amazing dub and sub, good characters, and great music which added to the anime. I'd recommend to watch it.

Story (8):
The second season of kamisama hajimemashita contain Tomoe's past and the feelings that Tomoe has for his lady and mistress, Nanami. Like many other stories it's about a female girl who's poor life soon turns into a rowdy one filled with friends (as most of you already know this is mentioned in season 1) Season two is about the female lead, Nanami, meeting new gods and finally taking charge and developing into the proper Land Goddess. It has romance, comedy, and drama. The second season has many new settings, characters, music and moments where you'd laugh.

Art(8):
The art is the same as the first ... season, at least to me. Since this is a light hearted anime the colors are all pretty and go with the anime. It's pretty too look at with the light colors here and there. The details are also great, but they seemed to be less exact than the first season. This though didn't ruin the experience.

Sound(9):
I think the OP and ending are better than the first season. Reason why is because it's more up beat and goes with the anime. You have no idea how many times I ended up singing the OP at random times. "Kamisama no kamisama" by Hanae starts out with a flute which will already get you in the mood. (Laughs while remembering Mizuki trying to play the flute) The endings you want to watch the next episode because of the cliffhangers and cause of the song.

Characters(10):
Not only was there Nanami, Mizuki, Tomoe, and the shrines servants, but manyyy more amazing characters got introduced. The antagonist was introduced, Kurama's past was discovered which led to even more awesome characters. It was a character boatload!!
Every character was awesome in their own way and you'd always want to see more of them. Even the antagonist. The quarrels between Tomoe and Mizuki over Nanami and over stupid little things always made me laugh. You can never get enough of these two. In my opinion, I think the character development and new characters was my favorite part of the entire second season.

Enjoyment(9):
I could never get enough of this. Ever since I finished watching the first season I've wanted more and I finally got it. I was so overjoyed when I started to watch the second season. Since it was ongoing when I watched I hated the fact that I had to wait a week to see the next episodes. Them cliffhangers are suspenseful!

Overall(9):
Even though it ended I still want more. *fingers crossed* hopefully there will be a season 3. Season 2 was better than season 1 in my opinion. Season 2 Op is more upbeat, has a handful of new characters(adorable ones too!), and I liked seeing the past of some of the main characters. I felt like I knew them even more than in season 1.

Story (8)
Uchouten Kazoku, Eccentric family, follows the life of the Shimogamo family. At first I thought it was going to be another one of those animes that are about a high strong family protecting its honor, but it seemed just the opposite. It was about a family that takes pride in their "idiot blood" and doesn't care about what others think. There were points when I wanted to laugh and parts that made me bite down on my nail wondering what would happen next.

Art(7)
The art fit perfectly with this anime. I didn't think there was a scene that was too overly colorful (Opposite of ... No Game No Life), but it wasn't too boring of colors. It's regular colors that you would see in your daily lives. The only con to the animation was the ears! At first I didn't notice the ears, but in the 2nd episode I started to pay attention to the art and noticed it. It bugged me for the next 5 episodes! I got used to them anyhow.

Sound(8)
The OP got a fun beat to it. I'd catch myself singing along at times. Listening/Watching the Op for the Eccentric family will immediately tell you that the show is going to be about some idiots, shape-shifting raccoon dogs, randomness, and comedy.

Now I don't name my favorites...ok maybe I do..
My favorite character from this anime has to be Yashirou. The youngest brother of the Shimogamo family. He's shy, adorable, sweet, cute, and looks up to his big brothers. There's also the 3 older brothers.
(Oldest to youngest)
Yajirou- shape shifted into a frog sometime after the Father met his end in a hot pot and stayed that way. He lives in the bottom of a well where people come visit him to make wishes.
Yaichirou- strict and uptight brother. He's the one who always lectures the brothers when they do mistakes. Wants to follow in his Father's footsteps and wants to also become Nise-emon.
Yasaburou- known to be the Father's favorite. Inherited the father's idiot blood. He's one of the funny characters. He shape-shifts into a human girl and enjoys it. Wants a fun and adventurous life.
Other characters like Benten(you can love or hate her), The "Friday Fellows", Akadama(tengu master who is obsessed with Benten, can't fly, and his apprentice is Yasaburo), The Ebisugawa Family (the antagonists of the show), Kaisei Ebisugawa (she's too nice to be part of that family), and the Mother of the Shimogamo(a.k.a "The Prince", hates thunder)

Enjoyment(9)
Many scenes made me laugh an others made me rage. Just seeing the Ebisugawa brother's got me mad. Evil!! I don't regret watching this anime. I'm glad I randomly found it while searching for another anime. I enjoyed watching the silly humor of each and every character and enjoyed listening to the songs. I would definitely rewatch this series again sooner or later.

Overall(8.5)
The Eccentric family was a new type of anime that I don't normally watch. Shape-shifting raccoon dogs(tanuki), other shape-shifting creatures, flying people, and humans. It was a weird and fun experience.
