Well I have never written a review for an anime before mainly because I watch it and never really give it much thought and have always loved the anime so much that i didn't bother wanting to write a review for it. This anime on the other hand gave me a lot of mixed feelings for it so try and bear with me.
First off, the anime itself is amazing. You laugh, you cry, feel excited, and sometimes all at the same time. It's an anime that really gets to you and really makes you think about your own life. the anime does a great job

of understanding all the characters and truly feel and care for them. The pacing is also well done and although it does skip a lot in time during this season rather than season 1, it makes sense after thinking about it. the anime also does a wonderful job of adding romance and comedy without making one overpower the other. Even though in after story there's more romance and tragedy, it still does not stray away from those comedic moments. I have a good variety of romance anime and this one probably is the best in terms of quality, but unfortunately it is not the best for me.
For me personally the anime mad me quite mad. After watching both seasons I still don't understand how Nagisa was the female lead of the story. I just can't grasp the her and Tomoya became a couple. I mean after going back at the episodes it just seems that there were only a few coincidences that would make Tomoya have feelings for her, and even those were pretty minor events. He also goes on and on throughout the end of season 1 and most of season 2 that Nagisa saved him and helped him out more than anyone else. Well that is just complete crap and honestly pisses me off. Youhei helped Tomoya more with his problems than anyone else in my opinion and didn't even get recognized for it basically until the end of the show. Even worse is that his other friends weren't recognized at all for what they did with Tomoya. I, like most people from what I have seen, believe he should have been with Tomoyo or Kyou. Tomoyo was trying her hardest to get Tomoya to be more confident, believe in himself more, and try harder. Kyou was trying to be with Tomoya a lot when he had nothing to do, even though she was hard on him she was doing it to help Tomoya, and I find that to be cute in a way. She also was friends with him the longest of any of the female characters. Those two girls should have had more affection on Tomoya rather than Nagisa. In fact I even went back to season 1 and found little support that Nagisa would affect Tomoya any more than Tomoyo or Kyou.
Adding to what made me mad about this anime was that after graduation Tomoya saw his friends just a few times. Are you freaking kidding me? So because you have a girlfriend and a job that means your just going to blow off and never call the friends that helped you through so much. Even his best friend, he only called him like twice. This affected me personally because I'm 21 now and go to college and work full time and always find the time to be with my high school friends. I know the others were busy but i mean that gives no reason to just stop by for a little bit during the day or at least call, those were his friends and I just felt that he did not care for them at all. This goes back to when I said in one of the last episodes when Tomoya recognizes to Youhei that without him he probably would not have even gone to that school anymore, well if he really felt that they were best friends then why the heck does he barely keep in touch with Youhei? I just found it completely selfish that he only thought of Nagisa.
Sorry for anyone that hates my review. I still gave it a 10 because I wanted to give it a score for what the anime truly was without any feelings, and then the enjoyment was basically how I rated it based on my feelings. I tried at the beginning to make it sound that for what it's worth it truly is an amazing anime. I just wanted to put my view across it and what I personally feel of it. I did see the ova's since they came with the blue ray and thought they were awesome. I think it would be a dream come true if there was a reboot where the female lead is Kyou or Tomoyo, that would make me very excited.
