This manga is a pretty standard travel back in time to fix my fuck ups manga but it diverts in two areas. The first is pretty stupid, the MC doesnt die or get sent back by some item/monster but he does it himself with his own power. This I found kind of funny and stupid because the reason he goes back in time is because he found out he wasted his life researching magic in the category he had the least potential in and therefore would forever be weaker than his competition. ... but he can manipulate time xdd
The second way it diverts is that
...
there was really no goal other than to be stronger and study magic that suits him in his second life. And this doesn't really provide much leverage story wise and basically just ends up as shit.
Manga is fine and enjoyable fluff if you want a quick read thats action, harem, isekai. Its ok nothing special

This show is not for everyone. That being said I haven't seen a harem show an a pretty long time and I enjoyed this a lot. It was easy watching and honestly while it doesn't bring anything new to the table it does everything pretty well, except for the soundtrack. Soundtrack sucks majorly to the point where I hated just about all of the ost.
Art is solid and has some real eye candy moments. There is no real fanservice as far as harem or even just as anime goes; and one thing the show does well is make it so that there is actually a
...
bit of hope for all the ships.
Story is pretty mediocre but good enough to just sit through 1 episode a week and enjoy. Characters are pretty "by the books" but they blush through the rough parts so what more do you want????
8/10 tbh I want a second season just because its such easy fluff to enjoy.

This show gives me conflicting feelings. I love magic. Always have, what made me interested in anime is literally the ability of animation to do cool amazing things with magic. So Black Clover a show about Magic Knights is perfect for yours truly. Problem is the show is probably one of the worst adaptations of source material i've ever had the displeasure of watching. I saw the first few episodes of Black Clover and thought, 'ow my ears, but this has potential." Unfortunately the show does not live up to the potential at all.
The animation is one of the worst garbage type animation ive ever
...
had to see. For a show that should have a budget the size of some stupid anime conglomerate it fails on literally every episode to deliver with smooth movement of just basic things like motion and interacting. And then they have like 3 episodes in the about 80 episodes that are just WOW in visuals and just blow you out of the water. Is it worth it? Not really, but hey Ill tune in for those Sakuga moments.
The concept got me interested enough to check out the manga and I suggest you do the same. High paced with very little down time between arcs it kinda just shits out action in a good way. And the art quality in the manga is pretty high with new abilities being added all the time to keep the reader interested.
The characters are all stereotypical but they do work well for the most part. Don't look too hard and you will probably be fine.
Ops and EDs are pretty solid (Black Rover is hype af as is Toujou Tenge) and probably should belong to better shows.
5/10 average if you got time to kill and are a shonen fangay other than that watch something else

The Promised Neverland is an absolutely top tier show. It is something that can be watched by non-anime fans very easily and is probably a show that will hook a lot of people into watching anime.
The show is a horror based around the events at the Grace Field orphanage and the children trying to uncover the mystery of where they grew up and of the world outside the gate which they are to never approach.
The world outside is dangerous but don't worry! Our main characters are smart, like CRAZY smart. We got Norman, Ray and Emma. Each of them take part in the
...
incredibly hard tests administered at the orphanage every day and get perfect scores every time.
This show is a mystery and psychological show that by all merits deserves a 10. However I am a picky manga reader who read all the chapters written as of a few months ago, in about an hour and a half. The first 50 or so chapters being among my favorite ive ever had the pleasure of not sleeping to read. Small details that the manga portrays are changed to fit the medium of anime, however it also changes the tone from being a game of wits to more of a hide-and-ghost seek deal. Where if you get found, you get fucked.
Maybe my enjoyment is less because of the changes and more because I already know the plot twists, but either way anyone who is a fan of great story telling and fantastic shows should watch this.

This show has arguably one of if not THE WORST three episodes ive ever seen in a show that still manages to be decent. I saw it was ranked around 1000 and was popular so I gave it a shot but I have to say halfway through episode 1 I was ready to drop this turd sandwich of a show because it had nothing redeemable. The intro while mildly humorous was pretty unoriginal. Tsundere princess (literal princess in this case) seemed annoying and shit "dont breath u pervert" haha... However a decently animated fight made me think "either they blew the budget on this 1
...
fight or maybe it gets better" thus I watched on.
Episode 2 blood related sister introduced by walking up to MC and kissing him... "our love is pure so why should being siblings matter?" WTF IS THIS. I barely tolerate the 'not blood related' bs so COME THE FUCK ON! Again I wondered why I was torturing myself with an episode 3, especially because I haven't watched an ecchi show in something like...5 years. Episode 3 continued to be trash mall trip with predictable hostage cliche but... whoa that fight was.... actually really nice. And MC while bland could be worse.. watches on.
After episode 3 the show just gets better and better with each episode. Nothing outstanding bar the DISGUSTINGLY nicely animated fights, like wow idk why they dropped the dosh on such a poorly written show but goddamn. Sister stops being a love rival and just is.... a sister who wants the best for her brother. And MC gets in a relationship with tsundere princess who actually starts having a somewhat normal personality. Whoa...
If you watch the show give it 4-5 episodes. If you can stomach the start and enjoy the fight scenes the show is fairly enjoyable and I found myself wanting a season 2 because I felt like the story would get better from where the show left off.

This show seems to get a lot of shit for.... not being original? The first episode of this show is by far the best. After that it kinda is just a half decent running gag. But its honestly kinda fun to watch. Nothing amazing but enjoyable. The ending was kinda predictable based on the set up but it was still nice, honestly the main problem with this show is that it doesn't vary its jokes enough so it ends up being one of two running gags. Handa thinks he is hated when in fact he is super popular, and thus Handa does something Handa feels
...
bad about himself while the other person is like "OMG MR POPULAR." OR The Handa Force do something for Handa to try to help him when in reality its just creepy or misguided. That is basically the show. It's aight and funny but nothing amazing. 7/10

Alright this show is not for everyone, that being said I had a great time watching it at 3 am.
Mo Fan (or Fan mo I honestly dont remember which is right) is typical chinese Wuxia MC. If you do not know what Wuxia is, it basically means OP martial arts MC but chinese.
Basically the MC always thinks ahead a lot manages to be rude and overbearing but also cunning and kind whenever it suits the plot. Wuxia stories always start out with the MC being disadvantaged for some reason but he overcomes it and gets something that will make him OP af later. Then
...
keeps it hidden until he can make the big reveal for maximum dosh aquirement.
This is no different in Quanzhi Fashi. MC has a necklace that makes him train faster, and he is born with dual elements which also happen to be the two rarest and most powerful (lightning and fire). Nothing special and if you are familiar with chinese stories of this kind you will know what to expect. If you aren't then this might be an enjoyable departure from typical OP MCs.
Animation sucked ballsack. Its like watching an autistic 2 year old trying to make tv. not to mention the absolute ballsack voice acting (I assume? I dont speak chinese but it didnt sound quite right in terms of tone and delivery.) If you cant stand the animation in episode 1, dont bother because it doesnt get better until season 2 and even then there is some wonky shit goin down.
The characters arent anything super special for chinese wuxia stories, but if you only watched japanese anime this is gonna be some new kind of development that you might enjoy.
tbh if you like training arcs you will probably at least mildly enjoy this. Plus each episode is really only like 13 minutes long or so considering recap and op ed take up about 4+ minutes of the episodes. If you got time to kill try it out, you might like a shitty 90s anime made in 2016...

I've read about 80 chapters of this manga, and while it isnt BAD, it isnt really good either. 5 is probably a bit lower than it should be but let me explain myself. The plot starts out pretty standard, guy transfers in to new school, saw cute girl while looking around gets a crush. They live in the same dorm and are next door to each other. Also in the mix is honoka who he met when he visited the city when he was little, she lives at the shrine they had a little interaction and she likes mc. The set up is fine, there
...
wasnt good comedy but you know its all about how the story plays out. Minor Spoilers past this point so beware.
This is where the problems begin. MC confesses and gets rejected fairly early on. Nothing wrong with that, I actually liked the choice. Thought it could be an interesting change to the formula, buttttt MC like two chapters later starts going out with shrine girl. Absolute goon. He decides right before hand he is going to pursue the girl till death then almost immediately dates a girl basically because she kisses him. There relationship is then pretty much immediately pushed into him attempting to have sex with her, which she gets mad at. Fast forward he buys a birthday gift for shrine girl with Suzuka(main bitch) and of course she sees them to misunderstand.
the story then tries to act like the MC only likes shrine girl and is devoid of guilt, when it clearly isnt true to the reader which just makes MC a total scumbag. Which leads to the biggest problem. The MC sucks.
Anime romance leads need to fucking have redeemable qualities. If he is a pervert, he has to be joking have a good heart or something. Maybe he is confident romantic or something. However this MC runs fast for plot reasons. He basically beats a champion runner in PE class with 0 exercise or training basically because the plot wants him to be fast. MC is weak willed, kinda stupid, not romantic, and just overall not enjoyable to watch interact with the main girl. WHO I MIGHT ADD ALSO IS A TERRIBLE CHARACTER. She like MC because he reminds her of her old flame who died in a car accident. But other than being fast this MC has 0 redeemable qualities other than working hard in the track club, just to impress her. He is stupid in almost every way and doesnt really 'get it'.
All this being said the manga still manages to not be bad, but it isnt good either. It kinda just exists and if you want an anime romance this isnt the manga. If you want a semi-realistic romance go read Chikan Ottoko. This tries to be real but is basically school days minus the twist ending (although I havent read the end so maybe there is)

Literally made an account just to shit on this show. Read the manga not too long ago and it was absolutely AMAZING. The art was fantastic and the story gave an exaggerated but semi-realistic look at war in warring states china. The fighting and tactics/strategy wars were super enjoyable and the main character was strong but not overpowered or made to be the absolute center of everything from the get go. He fails, messes up and faces consequences for his actions. Hell even some supporting characters of varying importance get killed. The anime takes a lot of what is good about the manga and shits
...
on it. The gorgeous art gets ruined by some cgi type shit. The bloody cut in half shots that gave some of the panels power in the manga are just typical anime sword slashes that leave much to be desired. So far the only thing i've liked is the way the show has portrayed kyokai's dance technique. Manga is 11/10. Anime is a 4 or 5. Unless you wanna waste time just read the manga.
