[DISCLAIMER: The following review is based off of my thoughts, opinions and observations and if you choose to read the following your are responsible for your response and reaction.
Your name or Kimi no poopoo as a wise man once said is an overhyped dumpster fire.
[This review contains heavy sarcasm and I do not intend to come off as harsh)
Story:2/10
It's based off of a cliché trope known more commonly as "freaky Friday" in the online world where basically two (or more) people switch others place.
The "plot twists" in this movie are just so random, like what was the point of the whole earthquake arc? Basically the
...
second half just doesn't make sense at ALL, it's just fillers to make it a sob story and convinces you into thinking that it's an amazing movie which it ISNT.
The first half was pretty decent, they introduced the characters and their point of view in the situation although it was pretty boring because some of the fillers where the protagonist has meaningless conversations with her friends which contribute nothing to the story. Although the second half is very very poorly written.
The point of the second half? "True love will find itself no matter where you go", nice message, but, again, where does this add to? The romance? Yes. The plot? No.
The plot was that two people switched minds and you're supposed to turn that into a "romance" and no, this is not how you turn it into a romance. You can't just add unrealistic scenarios and somehow make the two characters find each other when they are in different TIMES. This is just for the romance aspect and doesn't contribute to the plot progression at all, although we did get character development.
The ending? It was really disappointing, I was expecting so much more but I'm not gonna spoil it.
Characters: 3/10
Mitsuha is a cliché, she's made to just fit the ideal waifu type but she has no personality whatsoever, she's naive, stupid and whatever adjective fits her personality.
The other guy (forgot his name) has no personality, it's like looking at human being who is hollow with nothing inside.
The characters were extremely boring to watch and felt so empty to me.
I wouldn't have minded a few more characters who could've contributed to plot progression of this story more, focusing on only 2 characters who are really boring is just not cool.
I get that this is supposed to focus on the two protagonists but if you want to make an entertaining movie then add personality to the characters, well written and thought out plot twists and not random ones which just fit the convenience of the romance and drama aspect of the show. Its a really cliché romance, that's all.
Sound: 8/10
One of the best soundtracks ever, even though I hated the movie and characters, the soundtrack itself gives me nostalgia when I hear it.
Art: 10/10 Excellent, brilliant, show-stopping, incredible, amazing. The art was so beautiful and it's like eye candy, the backgrounds and overall aesthetic is just so pleasing to the eye.
Overall, The art and sound track is what made me give this a 5, but even though I didn't enjoy it, it's still average and isn't worthy of anything below a 4.

For all those who just think this is an anime music video, no it's not. It's a tribute so PLEASE stay respectful.
In case you don't know, the music video is based on a 14-year old Japanese girl who committed suicide on a livestream, I'm not going to be talking about this incident in detail.
Song: the singer seems very unstable while singing this to express the meaning behind it, and if you find it annoying, then don't be disrespectful, just click off, please.
Art: the art is unique and is very well animated
Meaning: the lyrics are meant to be in the perspective of the girls
"It's not
...
a phase, mom listen" this indicates how some adults consider teenage depression fake.
This song is tribute to 3 girls who committed suicide but the main focus is on roro, she used to be a 14-year old Japanese girl who did live streams which mainly included her singing, playing the piano. Her twitter account is still active I believe, her username is rorochan_1999.
This incident happened in 2013, but wasn't talked about until this music video came out.
I'm not talking about the incident in detail so if you want to, please watch videos on the topic instead.
These are some things you must NOT do-
Please do not cosplay as her, make GLMV's, make Junko poses to this song or anything other than paying your respects, it's highly disrespectful so please keep this in mind. She was a real person, and no she is not a fandom to be apart of.

So like, it could've been so much better.
<Disclaimer>
The following review is based off of my thoughts, opinions and observations you are in charge of what you consume and should you choose to read all of this, you are responsible for your response and reaction, basically it's fine if you disagree don't be a lil b about it.
Okay, I'll say it, I can't see anything good from this apart from the art which is decent.
Koi To Uso or Love and Lies, is a harem (lets face it, most of the Harem is stupid), "romance", slice of life and comedy.
I'll start off by giving a little insight
...
on the story-
In the future the government chooses your romantic partner for YOU. It seemed fairly interesting at first so I clicked on the first episode after reading the synopsis, the first episode was decent, what could go wrong? Answer: Every. Single. Thing.
Okay so, the series starts off with the plot being introduced in the first episode, it did good in that aspect of revealing the plot, but everything fell apart from there.
To give insight on what I'm gonna be talking about the characters first, since it's a character driven story.
Another disclaimer: This review has heavy sarcasm, and I do not intend to come off as harsh.
Characters: Protagonist: A Shinji Ikari. Whiny, weak, doesn't know how to make decisions, stupid, dense and literally everything the protagonist of a harem could be. Like I get it, he's shy, does he have a personality other than that? No. The amount of times I cringed at him is too much, I get that most Harem protagonists are like this but some atleast add some sort of personality to them. Protagonist: 1/10.
Now I'm going to be talking Misaki, the girl whom the protagonist likes (don't worry it's not a spoiler), she looked good at first, I mean she did have like a very cliché personality but I went in with an open mind expecting something else, I did get something though! Fan. Service.
She's like the typical "nice girl, looks good, is popular, gets good grades, everyone loves her" I just explained her entire personality in 12 words, that's how much little personality she has. Did they try to re use the trope and make it her own thing? No. Misaki: 1/10
Now the other love interest that the protagonist is met with, I won't diss her, she's a well written character for something like this but still, could've been so much better than a fan service tsundere. 2/10. Now as for the protagonists best friend, he's gay, that's nice, does he a have a personality? Yes! He does! Okay this character is pretty well written, I need to give them credit for that but my problem is, what does he contribute to this story at all? I literally don't see the point of his existence, "I mean he's gay and he's charming so that personality in itself xD xD xD" . 4/10, only if could've contributed something to the story, boy would this anime be at least a 5.
Now, lets talk about how bad the "comedy" aspect of this show is.
It isn't comedy, it's just a wacky highlight, there's a difference between the two. I remember cringing instead of laughing at the "comedy scenes", they didn't try in this aspect at ALL. Why even call it a comedy? I mean, since it's a slice of life there just HAS to be some sort of comedy or else how can you even it call it that? Right?
As for the slice of life aspect, it was decent, expect they used the "beach episode" trope for some good ol' fan service. Was the beach episode interesting or at least add something to the progression of the plot or characters? No. Just tits.
And they also used the cliché of the miscommunication happening between the protagonist and his/her love interest. That made me real mad real quick, and I skipped that episode since I can't sit through that.
The story was so interesting at first! Why would they destroy an original idea like that? I don't know, every SoL just HAS to have tits or it's not an anime. It could have been SO much better, they could have removed the comedy aspect and made this more of a drama and plot driven story instead of comedy and slice of life. Those two aspects of this anime do NOT fit the theme and story at all! The characters could have been written so much better. Other than the protagonists best friend (who doesn't add anything to the story) I literally don't see any originality at all. It's disappointing how such an original concept which seemed so interesting at first quickly turns into clichés, tits and beach episodes. It's sad, honestly.
Also, I'm just gonna talk about the ending, "what the fuck". That's what I think about it. I mean sure polygamy is cool and all but like, mate, if you can't even do that right then don't do it! Like it's stupid, un-satisfying (at this point nothing can be done to salvage this), they could have ended it by making protagonist choose neither or ONE of the, polygamy doesn't fit the theme. Ending is just, pathetic dude.
Art: decent, the characters looked aesthetically pleasing so at least that's something.
Overall, could've been better.

Aku No Hana, oh boy here we go.
[Disclaimer]
The following review is based off of my thoughts, opinions and observations. You are in charge of what you consume and should you choose to read all of this you are responsible for your reaction and response. Basically, it's fine if you disagree just please be a decent human being about it.
[SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD]
Aku No Hana is a very dark manga, I'll first be explaining the story a bit and then break it down so that it's easier to understand.
This manga follows the story of our protagonist who is obsessed with the book Les Fleurs du Mal.
...
This book actually plays a huge role in the progression of the plot and how it affects the chapters following it.
Story:
The story is very unique, it explores the dark nature of humans. The characters have their own perspective on life, they want to see "the other side". It starts off with the plot being introduced in the first chapter and this story is supposed to show you HOW the characters deal with the situation as the plot progresses and shows you their character development through the plot. It uses the plot for character development in the most genius way possible (I think). The amount of messed up in this manga is too much, but it doesn't overdo it. The way the protagonist does everything Nakamura tells him to do is just..painful to watch/read. It angers you, it pisses you off and makes you hate Nakamura. It did its job of pissing you off and showing you how DARK it can really be. Theres two factors which lead to a very good and entertaining story: the plot progression and execution. Aku no Hana succeeds in BOTH of these factors adding to my reason why I think the plot progression is the best I've seen. Most people really don't like how it ended but I think it's fair and for those who read it just because of how messed up it is, you're not looking at anything besides that factor. The way it ended may be "cheesy" but it makes the most sense and if it had ended any differently I wouldn't be writing a review praising it. It added new characters, more character development and gives you a SATISFYING ending. That's what I love about it, it doesn't try to be "edgy" and kill off characters for the shock factor or something, it gives it a PROPER ending. I'll now be talking about the importance of the book I mentioned in the beginning called Les Fleurs Du Mal, the way how I see it, the book influences the protagonist to look at the world in the distorted way it he sees it as and tries to look for an escape from the world while the influence being the book and Nakamura ADDS to his thirst (don't know if that's the right word) of curiousity for knowing what's on the "other side" thus making him commit the actions he does.
Characters: The characters are amazingly written, the protagonist may come off as a cliché at first but they USED the cliché and made it its own thing. The other characters are also really good! The way how they vilanize (is this even a word?) Nakamura, make you hate her and then make you feel pity for her is just a ride. As for Saeki, they also re-used the trope of "nice girl, straight a's" and make her seem more twisted than ever. She first comes off as the trope I mentioned earlier and along with her character development and how they make her go from "good girl" to "crazy psycho" in the most subtle but messed up way possible is remarkably the best character plot twists I've seen. I'm also gonna mention how good the side characters are! Side characters don't matter for the most part but they added their own little bit of personality to them too making them a well written character!
Art: The art for the manga is good but average but I didn't really care for the art, as for the art of the anime I noticed how many people dropped it after seeing the art, like, dude it's like saying "oh boy this _____ looks so ugly even though it has amazing features so I'll call it trash for the sake of being edgy!". The art in the anime ADDS to the creepy factor in this anime!!
Enjoyment: I fricking loved reading this and finished it in 3 days!
Overall, I think I went over board with theories and praising how good it is but somebody had to do it since the first people look for is aesthetic attraction and not what it's about. But seriously, it's so well written that I was pleasantly surprised because it's different, new and has uncensored boobs.

<DISCLAIMER>
The following review is based off of my opinions, observations and thoughts.
You are in charge of what you consume and should you choose to read all of this you are responsible for your response and reaction. Basically, it's fine if you disagree just please stay respectful.
Devilman Crybaby, I don't get the hype.
I will first address the issues I see within this
...
anime and then critic and say how it could have been better.
This is an anime that relies so heavily on sex and gore to make it an "adult" anime, like seriously, I would understand if the sex and gore was NECESSARY but it's NOT, that's the first problem I see right off the bat.
The plot is introduced in the first episode, I would say that it came off as kind of rushed to me, there could have been character building before they revealed the plot so that we could get to know the characters better and when the plot takes place we actually could feel like this was actually happening, but no it just felt very empty to me. There are several anime where the plot is introduced in the first episode but it doesn't seem rushed for most because they have some kind of character building before it or even none, if there's no character building before the plot is introduced then the character building should take place slowly as the plot progresses but I don't see any of that.
Now, the characters.
The protagonist is fairly simple, kind of clichè to be honest. Other than the fact that he's a crybaby is there any other special character trait that he has? No.
He is the stereotypical high schooler, kind of like the protagonist of a harem but a crybaby.
The characters have no personality, except the anatagonist there's nothing remarkable about the characters. Killing off a character for SHOCK is NOT good story writing.
Killing off a character just for the shock factor is not amusing to me.
Story:
The story is fairly simple, honestly, it had SO much potential to be a good anime, but the flaws are just too noticeable.
The psychological message behind this anime is something good! But it could have been executed so much better.
The last episode was EXTREMELY disappointing. I do not expect happy endings but I do want an ending I can be SATISFIED with and and ending that I can ACCEPT.
The ending to this anime was honestly so so bad, it could have been so much better..
The way they killed off characters for the shock factor is just so disappointing.
The way the story progresses honestly confused me, the way they just kept on switching perspectives was just too confusing and I couldn't figure out what was happening.
It has some very unnecessary and cringey scenes as well.
Here's what could have been differently: [spoilers ahead]
They should have not killed off the protagonist, it just doesn't make sense to me.
Instead they could have made the protagonist live and in the last episode they couldn't have made the antagonist realise his friendship with the protagonist and not do those things.
They should not have killed off the female, she could have added so much to the story.
Here are some positives about this show:
It has a great message behind it
The animation is very unique and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Overall, this show has so much wasted potential, the ending was just too disappointing to me.
They could have done so many things differently which would actually make this a reasonable show at least. I did not enjoy watching this and had to force myself to finish it just for the sake of having seen this anime since it was being so hyped.

The following review is based off of my opinions, observations and enjoyment, YOU are in charge of what you consume and should you choose to read of all this you are responsible for your reaction and response. Basically if you disagree, that's fine just please stay respectful.
<I will try my best to not include spoilers, and also I apologise for any spelling/grammatical errors>
Kuzu No Honkai or Scum's Wish is a romance anime like no other.
This Anime explores the scummy, dark and unspoken side of love which is not seen very often, the way it is executed is absolutely amazing in my opinion.
The main protagonist is
...
Yasuraoka Hanabi, the thing that makes her stand out from other protagonists in a romance anime is how realistic and relatable she seems to be, the character development in her as the story progresses makes you feel like you personally know this character.
The anime starts off with the plot being introduced in the first episode, but it doesnt seem rushed it rather seems as a very good start to an anime which is exploring these topics.
The characters are introduced slowly and every character seems to play a huge part in the progression of the anime. It is kind of fast paced but it doesn't skip over any important parts.
The thing about the story which stands out to me most is how the story doesn't only focuses on the protagonist, it focuses on the other characters, the story and much more.
I will now be talking about the dark aspects of this anime, if you are sensitive to these topics, feel free to skip.
The dark aspect of the anime that really surprised me is how realistic it seemed, the thought of unrequited love and how it messes you up in the head so bad that you become a scummy person without realising it, and how you go to extreme lengths to just fill that void inside of you by doing all sorts of horrible things, is I feel most people overlook on the aspect of love itself. I feel like it also has a pretty strong moral as well, it doesn't try to convince you that there is only ONE person DESTINED for you, and that just because you like someone doesn't mean they'll return your feelings. In the case of most romance anime/tv shows/movies I feel like the media portrays the image of love as happy and that it's going to last forever but scums wish doesn't try to convince you that, it tells you about the SACRIFICES and pain that you'll have to go through to make a relationship work. A lot of people consume this type of content and have an image that there is one person destined for them and don't make any sacrifices because that's the image that the media has portrayed in their mind.
I really enjoyed watching this anime, it was something new, fresh and something that I had not seen before, it gave me new morals and made me realise just how scummy a person could be.
The characters in this anime are honestly just amazing, they don't try to act happy and act like life is amazing but rather are just normal human beings, I really respect that aspect about this anime.
The animation for this is just pure gold in my opinion. I love the animation style.
Overall, this is the best thing I have ever watched and I don't think I'll be changing my opinion anytime soon, feel free to disagree.
