add

Both series employ a similar type of humor that is a mix of parody and over-exaggeration of character personalities. This goes in line with the fact that Both series employ a very dynamic and well-defined set of characters. Seto no Hanayome has a slight focus on harem jokes and romantic comedy parody. Binbougami is more focused on the struggling personality of the main character. Fans of the comedy style presented in Seto no Hanayome will definitely enjoy Binbougami and vice versa.

Seigi Keikan Monju
add

Both series are divided into mini-arcs that consists of helping side characters in solving their life problems. In both cases, these problems are often related to crimes or the underworld. A mix of serious business and comedy permeates the arcs of both series. Even though in Monju the characters are part of the police force as opposed to the vigilante characters of Angel Heart, the unrivaled strengths of the characters from both series are portrayed in similar fashion (often in a comedic and exaggerated fashion). Nevertheless, please note that Monju has some element of science-fiction with the main character being a nuclear-powered robot.

AKB0048
add

Even though the two series are of completely different genres, both series are uniquely focused on characters aiming to become idols. In addition, both series do tend to exaggerate greatly. Whereas AKB0048 is set in a pseudo-futuristic setting, Kirarin is set in a more realistic settings. Kirarin is first of all aimed towards a younger shoujo demographic and more children-friendly. The setting and plot are more comedy oriented. However, the songs are definitely not as professional as the ones performed by AKB48. On the other hand, AKB0048 is aimed towards the AKB48 fans and general otaku culture. The soundtrack of AKB0048 is based on past AKB48 songs and the animation quality is much more modern. Overall, both series are only suggested to people interested in idol characters. Personally, neither of the series can be considered very good. People who really want to see interesting plot should watch/read Skip Beat and many other great series.

The story is written by the same author and employ the same use of disturbing gore sceneries bordering on guro. If you are looking for a slightly deranged supernatural seinen series, look here. However, behind the gore lies a nearly spiritual portrayal of what constitute a human being. Both series showcase a quite profound worldview on these matters amidst the gory details.

Both are medical manga dealing with doctors as main characters. Yakushiji Ryouko no Kaiki Jikenbo
add

I will not go as far as to say Ryoko's Case file was on the same level as GITS, but it definitely had the same "Japanese politics" feeling when you watch it. On top of that, both are action-packed conspiracy series, with Case file tending more towards supernatural and pulp SF whereas GITS is pure hardcore cyberpunk SF (that even inspired the Wachowski Brothers into making the Matrix)

In terms of the narration, both story present a very unique and experimental style. Both have this mysterious supernatural plotline well hidden along the action.
