A brutal action-horror manga about a girl who places her soul in a robot doll to do battle with cultists and murderers who do the same. Kind of like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure if it was written and drawn by Go Nagai.
Although the story is unrefined and the characters aren't exactly interesting the gory violence and impressive character designs for the iron ghosts will be a draw for any fans of bloody old-school manga.

Basically it's Event Horizon 6,000 meters below the sea.
Pros: Amazing artwork that plays with shadow to create truly eerie and horrifying images. Even the scenes where nothing is happening have an overwhelming sense of isolation and dread thanks to the art. I don't know if the mangaka is a naval structure otaku or a undersea engineer but the depictions of the underwater facility where extremely detailed. The research center felt like a real place which added to the horror. You really get a feel for the sprawling complex that they're trapped in. The plot uses interesting influences from Aztec religion which I've never seen in ...

So far this story seems to be a science fiction take on stories like Puella Magi Madoka Magica featuring a darker, more tragic subversion of anime tropes and cliches that otaku would be familiar with.
Pros: I enjoy the artwork tremendously and besides finding it cute and easy to look at I think the juxtaposition between the adorable shoujo art and the extremely heavy subject matter makes the emotional value much more potent The characters seem likeable, their emotions feel real, and their motivations are realistic and not contrived for the sake of plot.
