Both shows take place in a special location meant for children who have special abilities to train and improve them. Friendships are made and bad guys are fought with the use of the super-natural abilities of the characters, and the main characters are very alike in appearance and personality.

...then you might like Inu x Boku SS add

Both animes involve a sort of family curse that creates a second identity the characters have to hide from normal humans. In both, a main character feels cursed by the ancestors identity that they inherited, and feel somewhat inferior because of it. Though the leading female characters share no personality similarities, both bring out good qualities in their male counterparts, are able to overlook what the leading male characters despise most about themselves, and help each other grow which leads to romance.

If you liked Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä add

...then you might like Giniro no Kami no Agito add

Both are about a struggle between man and nature after man abuses his abilities and throws off the balance between the two. Nausicaa, like most ghibli films, sends more of a message about humanity than origins but both are very well made.
