Format is 2 seasons of episodic police/detective drama. Bungou has a similiar, but slightly brighter noir detective aesthetic. Similiar comedic elements interject the main story. Excellent character development (especially Season 2 Opening Arc). This series covers themes such as redemption and regret. Well executed fight scenes and a good pacing between backstory and progressing an overall narrative (in this way Bungou Stray Dogs might be better).

Similiar setting of Quirks/Powers in humans and is a police/detective style drama as well. Bungou Stray Dogs has 2 seasons also episodic in nature. Character development and back story is much more satisfying in Bungou Stray Dogs. Bungeon's aesthetic is more developed and noir. Fight scenes are well-done and mystery elements more nuanced in Bungou Stray Dogs.

Onihei

Similiar detective noir style and story telling. Each episode is an unique enclosed story, that playfully unwinds character backstory. Even one shot or background characters are developed with a story. The narrative is a good balance between hopeful and realistic, the idea of a gritty world lampshaded by a kind Roguish MC. The fight scenes have good flow to them similiar to Cowboy Bebop. Humour style is gentle and narrative focused, rather than punchline and slapstick focused. The art/animation is good with the aesthetic of a Edo Period Cop drama anime being quite fresh. Jazz soundtracks provide tension at the right moments, similiar to Cowboy Bebop. Overall any fans of Cowboy Bebop will enjoy the atmosphere of Onihei, whilst enjoying a more buoyant and more light-hearted flow, whilst still providing good grit and realism.

Themes are similiar including: overcoming personal defects and romance. The story and romance is a little more grounded than in Grisaia Has 3 seasons and OVAs which actually constructively gets better as the story/background develops. The anime like the source material has the story line and conclusion in mind from beginning to end. Well developed themes and character development of the protaganist who saves everyone. Has some dark overtones like Grisaia, but is overall better focused in unifying all story arcs into a satisfying conclusion. Harem overtones are downplayed until the last season, but actually contributes to the story in conclusion.
