A classic entry in the fantasy genre "cool hero is OP and is amazing at everything".
I don't like this subgenre, if you do. Solo-Levelling is probably the best in its niche.
No fanservice BS to prop up a weak plot. That being said the plot isn't strong.
It does have some genuine emotions in it and it tries to show the hero actually working to get stronger. A good set of different abilities.
Nothing takes effort though and any hits the main character does take are for show only.
It follows the same formula on repeat like any in this subgenre. Big cool hero/enemy, look how AMAZINGLY strong it

Akame ga Kill!
(Anime)
add
Akame ga Kill is kinda the latest craze in animeland
First question that often pops into my head when this happens is: Does it deserve the hype? YES yes it does :D I'm no shounen fan but these are some of the most enjoyable action scenes ive seen in a while. The show is quite daring and unpredictable in my opinion as pretty much ANY character can die. Are you a shounen action fan and you haven't seen this? Then start typing in google! Dec 27, 2014
Steins;Gate
(Anime)
add
When I saw some of steins;gate's characters for the first time on pictures I was not attracted at all to be honest. As a result I wasn't expecting much from the anime and I only watched it after countless forums said I SHOULD.
And by god dont ever judge a book by its cover! The story starts off slow but after the preperations are made this show skyrockets. Usually I'm also not a fan of time travel but steins;gate hit a homerun with the storyline (in my books at least). very likeable characters and original as well -> give it a chance x3 |
