Both tales serve as examples of that feature of passing life and the peril of eternal life. they will experience hardships, overcome obstacles, and learn about the beauty of humanity. The saddest part of being immortal is that you have no time limit and are therefore endowed with nearly infinite potential, you can live for all eternity and learn everything, do everything, and accomplish everything. However, even though we may be immortal, we are still only human, and eventually our sense of reality and our perception of time will deteriorate. We must die in order for the species to survive because we are by nature ephemeral and merely serve as a symbol for other aspects of humanity. In a technical sense, we are not more significant than that. We might lose our minds due to the effects of time, boredom, knowledge, and other factors. We might also forget things that happened a long time ago. Eventually, may even continue to exist in circumstances where it would be better to die. For a human being, immortality would eventually turn into a curse.

Both Made in Abyss and To your eternity are great unique stories unique/interesting characters, full of surprises and also tragedies To your eternity is the saddest one but after watching season 2 you'll understand that its not always the happy part of the stories its all about how you understand that attachment leads to suffering people come and go To your Eternity is also somewhat similar to Maquia when the promise never bloom
