Disclamer: Just to clarify, I DO recommend the show but I want to express some mixed feelings I have regarding this cour.
I am truly enjoying the anime and it's a clear upgrade over the original source (manga) but not all things are great.
I was willing to receive an explanation or justification towards Senjumaru's Bankai. How does it work and why the Squad 0 choose her bankai over Oetsu nevertheless we got no information on that matter.
Even tho we are getting new content it still feels rushed. Ichigo killing Soul King keeps being badly scrypted. The anime wanted to give some screentime and redemtion to Uryu
...
and Squad 0 but this made the elite sternritter look weaker than in the manga. Yhwach saying every line "I already foresaw that" is also pretty annoying and unnecessary, we know.
In general the cour is going well and will probably be better than the second cour considering what is next to come but cour 1 is unmatchable. With that being said I hate the fact they are facing a godlike villain and no ones dies but whatever, it based on the manga so they can't really change that.
In conclusion, it is an entertaining adaptation like few others but with very visible inconsistencies.
