The main character struggles to face their gender issues. While After School Nightmare is set in a completely different kind of world/genre, the similarities are in that the main character is forced to choose between a male or female love interest but cannot due to gender insecurities.

Both of these deal with the darkly themed games, with psychological viewpoints. They aim to expose the bad of the human nature. Real account has more illegal, deathly punishments while Liar game is more of an illegal shark-loan. So, in other words- Real Account: gore. Liar Game: distress (a lot) Real Acc. has more modern themes implemented into the story, though, obviously, since it was made later than Liar Game.

They're both about a girl's journey in modeling. In both cases, the girl model and boy model helps each other out, starting with the male helping the girl out due to having more experience. As the story progresses on, the girl helps the guy out. The girl becomes the male's support and saving grace when he forgets how to model (haha shocker.) Girl model also helps the male with his absolute secret that he can't tell the world or else his career is down the drain. They both kinda end the same too. Kinda. So basically, Nousatsu Junkie is the longer version of Film girl and vice versa.

Students are trapped inside a school with no way of getting out except to "graduate." >In both of these cases, "graduating" is not how graduating is usually done and the students are all pitted against each other with doubt. >Semi-Spoiler: It's not really a spoiler, since it's hinted early on in both mangas that these students are all being watched on surveillance tapes/cameras >It has the whole mystery& puzzles kind of feel that keeps you reading on and on until you have to stop and wait for the next chapter.

You can pretty much see the similarities in the first chapter. Both main characters experience out of the ordinary things (ordinary in their lives, that is, since both characters were pretty messed up to begin with anyways...) after meeting with their contractor- which is another thing similar, by the way. They are suddenly put in the spot where they have to hold a contract with the doll/undertaker. Both seals for the contracts is a rose ring.
