It's an omega story w/ the typical omega bl.
1. explicit sex w/ graphic scenes
2. possible chances of pregnancy or talk of it
3. bl conflict - always a third party challenge on both ends
4. always, always - possible sexual violence.
What makes this one interesting?
Tsugumi! He's a sensitive boy who has no clue on his own sexuality & in a way repressed it in order to protect himself. He also has no idea of romantic feelings so even at 15 he's still thinking like "cooties". So he's in the process of learning about love at kindergarten level while he's becoming a professional when
...
it comes to sex. The duality is interesting. The person teaching him all this is Megumi & he's having a hell of a time since he's having his own issues. He's seeing the love & care of Megumi's home & what he wishes he'd had.
When you start reading you start to see that Megumi is really what Tsugumi should have turned out in the home he was raised. While Tsugumi should be like Megumi based on the home life he had.
It's an entertaining read - I read up to Volume 4 x Chapter 2. I don't know if it will be continued to be subbed.

What makes this manga special is the artwork. This mangaka knows how to draw. The expressions for the comical situations are OTT & appears in ways you'd normally never see in a Yaoi/Shoujo manga. Then there are the ranges from soft lines & hard strokes that shift nicely.
It's really nice...however, sometimes you also see an awkward 1980s style manga character style drawing that throws you off of the baggy clothing of a "Yankee"-like character.
The characters have no real depth. But do they ever? It's about an otaku who wants to "fit in" and a hot guy who's a "loner/bad boy". Don't expect much.
...
However, did I enjoy it. I read it in one sitting. So, yeah, I enjoyed it. The characters were cute enough & it was really the artwork that kept me there.

This story follows the same art and style of storytelling as it's predecessor, Devil Honey. There is also no real way of understanding this manga without reading Devil Honey.
Although, this makes you think there is a focus on Minoru & Seto's relationship the reader is left feeling duped. However, not unsatisfied. As I said, if you have read Devil's Honey, you are introduced to Minoru's brother Yoshino and his love interest Toshimitsu.
You can't help to fall in love with them again. It's unfortunate they do eat up the time that the mangaka should have given to expanding Minoru & Seto.
...
What she does is start with Minoru & Seto in an advanced relationship when Minoru & Seto are already in University.
However, then she backpedals and spends more time showing us the outing of Yoshino/Toshimitsu's "relationship" when Yoshino graduates. When I think what she really wanted to show was the start of Minoru & Seto's relationship. Unfortunately, she fails at delivering on the latter.
I feel as though b/c this is a sequel for Devil's Honey, this works as a nice conclusion for the Toshimitsu/Yoshino pairing. However, as a start for the Seto/Minoru pairing, it is lacking.
I would read it since it is satisfying if you enjoyed Devil's Honey, as I did. It really is enjoyable.

I am seriously surprised by the high scores by the other reviewers. Maybe it's because I'm too critical, I'm not to sure...so I'll leave that up to you after you read my synopsis and then the manga themselves.
There are really 3 1/2 stories. Basically to the first story which has it's own two chapters: the first from the perspective of the boy and the second from the perspective of the girl. The 1/2 story is actually in connection to those perspectives through inserts throughout each of the chapters. And there are four chapters.
To make it more clear that there are 3
...
1/2 chapters I'll break it down.
Chapter 1: Story 1- Boys perspective
Chapter 2: Story 1 - Girls perspective
Chapter 3: Story 2 - Teacher/Student
Chapter 4: Story 3 - Student/Student (Cold student/warm student)
1/2 story: Story 1 (as inserts after each chapter). Example Chapter 1 - insert, chapter 2 - insert, chapter 3- insert, chapter 4 - insert.
Overall perspective of the story:
As I said, I was surprised by the high score the short story had. Yes, story 1 did do something that I have rarely seen in a manga---where it gives both the girl and the boys side of a story. Which is great. But the story line was a bit pathetic and not well thought out.
It could be because I like Teacher/Student relationships the best, but I thought that made more sense to me as a storyline. Although the girl was a bit weird and stalkerish. The final story I think overall was the best one.
I'll give a synopsis and explain why in detail (please don't ask me for any translations of these titles I don't speak Japanese (although I should learn). The only title I know is for story 1 which is "I love you but Goodbye."):
Chapter 1 Story 1: Sayonara Demo Aishiteru (Yutaka's version)
Yutaka. My first impression of Yutaka was that he was shy, attractive, tall, but awkward and naive. I didn't see him as an alpha type of Bishie. He was just the attractive guy next door. For my ladies out there...you know those guys you find cute, but their so nice you don't know if they like you or not. And even when you realize he doesn't like you, he's still so cool that you don't care?! Yeah...that's what I got from him. He wasn't anything that special. Plus the way the mangaka described him, that's what I got.
He first meets this girl during an entrance exam, falls instantly in love, asks her out immediately and then assists her home, gets a part time job so he could buy her something. I'm like this guy is totally p***y-whipped. She had him by the nose. That boy bloody cried. He didn't even come across as really masculine for me until the end. Well, where I saw him as a Man and not a boy. You know, that's when the declaration of love happens through a final scenario.
Yeah, this story had a quadrangle. Initially I wanted him to hook up with his friend -- I like those best friend relationships. Until I found out what she did and then I was like damn.
So you can see why I didn't find this story that...OMG. I mean there was nothing new for me except to see a guy so whipped. I'll be honest I usually read stories with Alpha-Bishies, which I'll talk about below.
The art was great there fore that helped with my enjoyment. But not that much. I found the entire work mediocre.
Chapter 2 Story 1: Sayonara Demo Aisheteru (Mariya's version)
It was important for the mangaka to make Mariya's perspective because the representation of the male character is completely different and even the story line ends up shifting the story over all making things clearer and not as vague.
All the characters that are presented in Yutaka's story are highly important. In this version Yutaka is a total Alpha-Bishie. He's super attractive, seen as a hottie in the school, he's super popular with the girls---to the point people see him as a playboy (rumor). But you see what he does for her. He truly protects her, truly cares for her on many levels and isn't shy of his feelings. I mean he wasn't before, but here he fights for it.
I found Mariya to be a fairly strong character because she fought against the rumors as long as she did and she endured bullying. The element of bullying would have made the story richer had it been discussed in a more detailed way. It was kind of like...it was that, and we ignore it. It's a bit ridiculous.
Chapter 1/2 Story 1: This is a continuation of the first story that encompasses Erika & Taiki...
Taiki has a crush on Yutaka and does some brutal things to ensure that her love is accepted. She makes up one of the Quadrangle. Now Taiki is part of the good friend group and has a thing for Erika. So picture it like this:
Mariya <---> Yutaka <--- Erika <--- Taiki
You come to find out what role Taiki plays in the story an how that happens. You also find out more about Erika and her feelings. In the final insert there seems to be a sort of resolution that they leave open.
Chapter 3 Story 2: 1 % No Kiseki
Yeah I like this the most. I love my teacher/student relationships. But admittedly this one weirds me out. When you read it, I'll simply say "button obsession"...WTF?!
Anyway, teacher's name is Sharuru (he's my type of teach)/students name is Nana. I love when they have one names like this, it makes my life so much easier. I don't have to struggle over which one is last or first based on the mangaka and the possible American translators.
Moving on, Nana makes me a bit nervous because she's a bit weird with her idolization and love of Sharuru. She's basically relentless. I realize in the manga's this isn't normal and could be viewed as refreshing, but I'm not sold on that perspective. But overall she is naive, sweet, obsessive, and very direct in her feelings. Even when she's pushed away in the most ridiculing way that girl won't give up---ie the title...possibly changing into 1% Chance or something like that.
Sharuru really tries to push her away for very valid reasons. He even asked a colleague to help him on the matter. That's how bad he needed to keep her out of the way. Man that girl wasn't going to give up. He has his reasons and I think you'll totally respect it and ask yourself "Why, why does he put himself in this...?" But ah well.
When I saw the ending I just wished the mangaka had drawn his office with the drapes closed. I mean really. You don't need natural light in these situations.
Now that I look back...after writing this synopsis (and I'll leave this here as an aside and reflection of the reviewer) it's not my favorite. This girl really annoyed me and so did the teacher. Man...what craziness.
Chapter 4 Story 3: [T]sumentaku, Amaku, Koi O Shite
Okay so this was my favorite story. Misunderstood (cold-hearted) girl is called Rinka-Senpai. I like her as a character very much. Very different from the others. In some ways she sort of reminds me of Yuni from Kinkyori Renai. I just think this character is far more likable. Now the warm-hearted boy (who understands her completely) is called Akira but some people call him megane because of his glasses.
Let's start with Akira---this kid I really like him. Maybe it's because he's a John Cusak kind of guy. For those of you who don't know him. Too bad. But in my book there's a category like that. Those guys the first time you seem , you're like you're average but cool. The second time you meet him, you're like "huh" and still cool. By the third, fourth and fifth time--the guy is super hot in your book and he's super cool and you want to date him.
Basically those guys that turn hot. I'm not talking about just for you---but majority of women who meet him. That's Akira's character. Most of the girls weren't into him, but then he started becoming Mr. popular because of his abilities and how he's so nice and helpful. The girls were going wild. But he has the eyes for one girl only. His upper grade school mate. WIN!
I immediately liked him because he can see the inner person and because he's so great, but understated.
Rinka is extremely thoughtful but her words or usage of words get misinterpreted. I know many Americans look at the English as cold, when in reality the English just use the language in a different way with different tones. So to us they are "different" in personality. I know when I started living there and my accent was shifting--people got the same vibe from me. She takes on more work because people don't want to work with her. People take what she says personally without understanding her meaning. But this guy sees and understands her views. I like that he does that, and this helps her open up.
It's a great feel good story. But still not enough to save this manga. Yeah and I gave it a five because of this story.

I want to stress something here! This is not to my massive manga readers, anime watchers, and those who know about Japanese culture and society. This is geared to the noobs or those who don't bother reading up on Japanese culture and society. Considering I'm the first three. I would like to stress this to everyone. First off if you're from the Western World, your schooling system is very different from Japan's. That''s number one. The second thing is that in Japan, the age of consent is 13. For example, a 13 year old girl can have a relationship
...
with anyone older than her. yeah, for some people it's 'ick'. For those of you from the USA, you can't speak. If I remember correctly in Georgia you can get married at 14 with parents permission. So there's no 'ick'. to be had. I just want to put that out there. As I've seen comments like that in regards to this manga (and others) when it's older girl w/ younger guy. Rarely with older guy w/ younger girl.
__________________________________________________________________
As an aside, it seemed that I may have read this manga back in Nov. 2009, but I just never reviewed it. I updated the biography of this manga and tried to add characters which proved to be difficult. That being said I'll begin with this review.
Overall as I stated, this was a good set of stories. I don't think there was anything special with the characters or the relationships that I read. It just utilized common tropes like moments of alone time together, shyness, girls falling down to be caught by their love interest and so on and so forth.
This is the kind of manga you read when you're bored and have nothing on your plate to do. You read it to pass the time and move on. I mainly read this because I was getting myself pumped to reread Faster than a Kiss, which I had started to read and then got distracted, years went by and it's complete but I still haven't read it.
So this was just a past time reading. If you don't really page attention to the art, the stories are very fast to read. If you're a average reader you'll get done in 30 minutes. If you want to take your time you'll finish in 45.
All right, now the break down of the five short stories. Oh,, as a prelude to the review of each (ignoring my digressing statements in the first two paragraphs). I can say I'd really appreciate short anime stories like these. Like 10 minute anime shorts. That would be fun too.
1. Love In the Middle of a Storm
It has mainly two characters with an unimportant one. The two main are Watase and Yoshi. Just one thought, the art was pathetic.
Watase is a young female student who is naive, sensitive, and sweet. She unfortunately is transferring from her High School and came to class because she did not get the message that school was closed as a Typhoon was rolling in. She meets up with her teacher, Yoshi who was in the school. Yoshi and Watase go on a short of the school one last time. At one point in the story they end up holding hands, no confessions were made yet. As they continued their tour another teacher showed up, who was unknown to be in the school and he was planning on taking Watase home. Which of course results in a kidnapping. Yoshi takes Watase on his motorcycle (so dangerous during a typhoon--even some of the white noise said the same thing). He takes her to a bridge somewhere they declare their love for one another and he says he'll visit her even if it takes 2 hours to get to her house in his bike.
My thoughts...I think the story was vague and lackadaisical in approach and the characters were very superficial. I wasn't impressed. No real concepts into the story, unless you count the "kidnapping", that wasn't important.
2. Love's Sonnet
I just want to say right off the bat. I loved this one, I loved this. First off, if you're into Tall guys w/ Short girls. This is a winner for you. I'm into those stories. I hunt for them, so I was pleasantly surprised.
I loved this one, even if it was quick an fast, is the girl. Her name is Kanade Arai and she definitely not shy. She's cute, she's aggressive in some ways, she doesn't complain, she's a tad bit naive but it' sincere and she's a strong girl. She falls for her classmate, Honda. Honda comes across as unapproachable and you think he's being abused. I personally think he was one of the hot bishies out there.
In this story tall girl is being bullied. She thinks it's a trend, but you find out it's so much more. Most of the forms of bullying is just her back placed in really high places. Anyone, one day she was late in school and figuring out how to get her bag when she hears music. To her it's so beautiful she follows the sound and sees a mean looking guy from her playing extremely beautiful music. Her infatuation with this piano playing quickly turns into so much more as he becomes aware of the bullying. As the bullying continued Arai would always say, "Pain, Pain go away." That spoke to my heart. As a teacher this is something that kills me, bullying.
I don't find this one superficial because it involves serious topics like bullying, harassment, stalking, trust, and manipulation. My review doesn't talk about all those aspects b/c I'd like to read it. From my perspective it was endearing and those issues could have been expanded on in a longer series. Maybe it has been and I just haven't found it yet.
As for a clean up of the issues presented not all and done in a very superficial way (probably because it's not a series). The bullying was taken care of, but not the bully. The manipulation was taken care and so was the manipulator. The harassment was taken care but not the harasser. The trust factor was completed and I enjoyed that. It could have been done better, but it needed a quick ending. So I liked what I got.
3. Love x Kiss x Mark
I don't know if you get the above title. I didn't get it until the end. You'll get it then too, since I won't spoil it. Or maybe, you will get it (smarter than me) early on. Who knows.
Art, decent work. Actually up in part with Love's Sonnet. This is a Tall Teacher w/Short Student story. So my two fave elements: Tall guy w/ Short girl an Teacher/Student (I prefer the student is female). Anyway girl falls for her teacher. That leads her into making up situations to show her attraction to her teacher. Ultimately one of her antics gives her a chance to be with him almost all the time, under the same scenarios in a similar situation as Kinkyori Renai. There's a bit of the funny scenes and some serious issue scenes.
These issues are not resolved in any way important. So I'll leave it there. But you come to understand the title, if you didn't get it before, at the end of the story. Lame ass if anything.
4. When the Sky is Green, You are By My Side
It's, meh. I liked this student/student story and felt it was the second best of them (You all know Love's Concerto is my fave.) This one is Tall girl/sort of short Guy. He's not really short. So don't expect that, well they were when he was a kid; they don't focus on that much, just in images and not in dialogue. Moving on, so the main characters are Abe Takashi (male) and Abe Sachi (female). I liked the fact they had the same name. Anyway, moving on from there---I see that I tend to digress a lot; be patient with me.
So the idea is that Abe the boy was living in the district he is in now, when he was in elementary school and went to the same school as Abe the girl. In elementary school he was tiny as hell. While Abe the girl was the tallest in the class. Go figure. Because of their name they sat together, were given chores together and there was always mishap because of their height. Well now it's High School an surprise, surprise...Abe the male has now become tall...well only as tall as Abe the girl minus 3cm. ^_^ Feelings start to arrive, a sort of triangle ensues but the other guy is totally cool with it and his buds were like, give it up man. Plus he's good friends with Abe the male. So it ended well on that note.
They had some emotional situations that make this tale good. Really it touches on insecurities and in High School it is a nightmare. Like I always say, "If you survive High School, you can survive anything." I've not been proven wrong yet. So these insecurities can manifest in different ways and are released in different ways. Also everything was resolved effectively..unlike my fave which lost a chance at doing that.
5. Open Umbrellas on Sunny Days
A very laissez-faire story and this was one of the reasons I felt that these shorts should be turned into 10-15 minute mangas or even "webtoons" like the Koreans & Thai people do. Like short live action stories. I think they'd be fun and bring in some new stars of a new genre.
Well, let's introduce the characters: The girl is Saya Nakajima and the boy's name is Taichi Moriyama. The trope here is Older girl/younger guy. Boy is in "elementary" school probably 8th grade and she's a junior let's say in High School. Yeah, it's a huge age gap, but let's be real. Those who are obsessed w/ yaoi or teacher/student relationships (like I am) there are massive age gaps there and it's all good for us. So this isn't a big deal.
So the two characters meet on the train. I think a lot of people meet their mates on public transportation. Let me be honest, I have no clue how people meet on the regular. But that's how they meet. The entire relationship is developed through the trains. They never meet in other locations except maybe the platform of a subway. What ties them is a very normal utensil of life...I call it a utensil because it's something you use and it's in your hand, if you're wondering. So that's what is tying them and the girl develops feelings for the boy. You don''t know the boy's side of anything until the end, when a major misunderstanding breaks up the couple---sort of. Anyway the misunderstanding is cleared up and love arises.
But even if the summary here is as superficial as I find this story to be. That's really the idea and I was in a good mood so I lasted through this. There's no real life lessons to learn except for the super famous line, "You never anything good about you when you overhear a conversation." ---or something like that.
Again, I was free, this was quick and overall I did enjoy it. I just moved the story to a 6 after I read over my review. ~sigh

I really enjoyed this short story. It takes far less than 10 minutes to read. This is literally a 2.5 minute read and that's if you take the time out to look at the pictures. It is extremely short.
The story is truly adorable. I think for all of us who remember our childhood and how we were attached to that one thing we couldn't live without. You know some people had a doll or a blanket or a baby bottle or toy of some kind. This boy finds something similar and his is a chair. Where he
...
feels safe, and happy.
That's what all these toys or things did for us. They were our form of comfort. When we played or were with them we were happy and protected. This is a similar idea. I'm getting up there and years and I was emotionally moved. It was short, the art was decent but not great and the characters not fully developed----but there was something there that grabbed your attention.
I really enjoyed this and I think all of you with 2 minutes to spare will probably enjoy it as well.

Mod note: This review was originally created for the manga "Mob for Jack" which has merged into "Pet Keiyaku".
Review for Mob Jack 2 (review for Mob Jack 1 is below): I forgot this was the military section and there is a part 1. This is just gratuitous sex, violent sex at that which happens to be drawn beautifully. There is no story. There is no character development You have a pathetic excuse of a man who is put in situations where he is abused on a continuous basis. It's actually very pathetic. And do to the fact that
...
there is no story and therefor no character development yo feel no sympathy for the character as he faces an army squadron. Pretty bad manga but the mangaka is an amazing artist.
I decided to include a review for both since there are two parts and I've read them both. The reviews are slightly varied.
Review for Mob Jack 1: Yeah, this got as high as a 3. I'm a bit shocked I gave it that high to be honest. The art really saved this piece of junk. You like Yaoi? This is not worthwhile unless you're in it for just the violent sex. It's hard core, does touch on controversial topics--which was mainly why I wasted the time. But...ugh...
Really there was no story. I mean kid has a rather interesting relationship with a family member---then goes off to the military which turns into a fanfare of sorts. There was barely any sort of language to even suggest a story or character development. The art is very good. Some of the best art I've seen. And you feel like it's a waste of the mangaka.
In actuality, this went two ways. Either the mangaka spent so much time on the art that s/he sacrificed the story and writing for the art. Or felt her drawing was better at expressing the story---which it was not. The enjoyment...it was more along the lines of pathetic. But whatever.
If you like hentai and don't care how you get your yaoi or the quality of it. This might be of interest. And definitely for you if you meet the above and have no issues with controversial topics....like, say, incest. If you want some meet in your yaoi (totally tongue-in-cheek) this may not be for you. There is far better out there for the reader.

I enjoyed this a great deal.
Okay what makes this story great? It's different. You always have stories where girl pursues girl or girl pursues guy. However, you have a girl with the perpetual cold shoulder who is basically unfazed by anything. Even near rape. Then you have a lead man who sees said girl as a challenge he must conquer and does it in a comedic fashion.
Anyone here raised on Pepe le Pew from Looney Tunes and his obsession with a cat who had a stripe on her tail like a skunk? Well you're just about to read the
...
manga version of the same story---except Pepe wins the girl this time. ^_^
This girl walks away, runs away, beats him away, but Mr. Bishie (known as Kiriyuu-kun in the manga) still comes back for more and he can't stay away. And his penchant for inappropriately touching her fits exactly Pepe's modus operandi. Do we love it? Although sexist, it's adorable. Do we like her unresponsive aloofness? It's hardly ever irritating. Do we share in his irritation? Hardly, because it makes us laugh with glee. Will anyone enjoy it? I certainly think so.
I definitely recommend this for a nice and light manga that takes about 30 minutes to read. Not to much time and/or energy and it will manage to get a giggle out of you a few times. Or catch yourself smiling absurdly. The story is not unique, but it was entertaining. The art is great, the Bishie---is definitely---hmmm. The character's were certainly very well done---a bit short so there wasn't much dimension playing. I was nicely entertained. Definitely deserves the grade it got by me.
If it a read if you have about 20-30 minutes to spare.

I really liked this. I mean it wasn't stellar but it is worth the read. Why? Because there's a twist at the end. Lots of pervs will read this expecting something just as described. However, I think everyone should give this a chance even if it's hentai because it's not what you might thing. Even for those who assume incest. You might be in for a surprise. If I divulge more then it would ruin the story. It's a funny and outrageous short---basically tapping into the bored life of certain young people.
It was a fun
...
read as I said and you won't be disappointed. The style of drawing was definitely lackluster and lazy. The story was fun. Not much, character wise, it's just fluff really...however I did enjoy it and had a laugh at the end.

I really don't know where to start with this review or end. It's not even fitting. I don't understand how the other reviewer gave it such a commendable response. But it really doesn't deserve it. There are Japanese films that can fall very easily into this genre and they are far more commendable. A guy gets hired, mainly by rejected men or something---or he just takes it upon himself and he basically runs around raping women who seem to love it after ward.
It makes you question the morality of a society and the people who came up with it.
...
If I take it as a feminist that I am, I'm utterly offended. If I take it as tongue-in-cheek nonsense...well it's...fitting. Basically this story was developed to appeal to the adult male audience (no not the pubescent) so they can start reading mangas. I don't really think adult males need such story concepts in order to get into reading mangas. Berserk is a good example of good story with extreme themes.
In any event, as a manga it was a bomb---so it boggles my mind why it was turned into a mini-anime.
As a short analysis of each rated part of the anime, it's not going to be pleasant.
Story---there actually is a meaning as to why the guy does what he does. You just have to wonder how rape is a plausible teaching lesson. Is the story rich and developed and grasping...no---there's just violence and misogynistic behavior towards women.
Art---it's like that 80s style art from like yaoi hentai with the same style of music. You decide if you like it or not. I find that sort of thing really trite, like watching 70s porn or something.
Sound---Meh, all you hear is screams and squelching sounds. There isn't much dialogue to listen too.
Character----you get no real character development. But if I remember correctly, because it's been a while. I wanted him to hook up with his secretary I think. Love for a rapist?! I know, I know---the way these animes make you think...~sigh~
Enjoyment---I remember it, I can't say I enjoyed it since I found it an utter disappointment. Don't ask what I was thinking I would get from watching it. At this point I just put it down to me wanting to see as many animes as I could so I can say I watched them, even if they are crap.
Overall---it got hire than I thought it would. ^_^
