It's a cute story, really. You totally fall in love with Elle right away.
Granted, this manga is only three volumes, so the next bit shouldn't be surprising buuuuuut. . .
It definitely ended too quickly. It feels extremely rushed. I mean. . . the ending itself is befitting and I don't feel overtly disappointed at how it is. . . it was just too fast. I think there coulda been a bit more. . . five volumes would have been totally appropriate with the right amount of filler and not much more drama. . .

Great Manga! I finished it years ago and still remember it's awesome goodness!
Much UNlike Aihara's other work, Hot Gimmick, the drama and scenarios here are decently believable and not overplayed. Mimori is a much stronger character, and is immediately embracing due to her opening scene in the first volume. She has such simple, relatable desires. She just wants to be pretty and wear the cutest uniform available to her. What girl can't see her on that? I mean, when I was Mimori's age, I definitely wanted to be pretty and wear cute clothes. Mkay so let me put it like this.
I own the omnibus, and boy am I glad I bought them all used!!! Hot Gimmick focuses on the story of Hatsumi Narita and her family. They live in an apartment complex owned by the nameless company her father works for. Apparently, they have lived there since Hatsumi's childhood. Well Hatsumi ends up hooking up with Ryoki, and it just unveils the mass of drama that is so unrealistic and ridiculous it makes you want to punch something in the face.
