I'm writing this review entirely because I read someone's negative review of Bakuman, loosely scoring it WAY TOO LOW (they gave it a 3). They were too specific on what they didn't like about the anime, and it's how the character's romance was way too "unrealistic", like bro? I am not going to nitpick and explain every single detail on WHY I think it's valid for Saiko and Miho to feel that way with each other, but YOU have to remember that these characters ARE introverted, and their attraction towards each other grew strongly as they continued to be schoolmates as the years go by.
...
IT'S NOT THE AUTHOR'S FAULT THAT YOU NEVER EXPERIENCED THAT TYPE OF LOVE SCENARIO AT ALL, LOL. You must've been too ugly when you were a kid, that's why you're so bitter about it. AND LET ME REMIND THE PEOPLE THAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT TWO YOUNG PEOPLE here, like literally! THEY ARE 15 YEARS OLD when they confessed to each other, to be completely specific about it, PROPOSED to each other, now that's what I call a GRAND GESTURE that probably amplified their love towards each other, and the timing was so perfect as well.
Basically, the whole reason why I'm so pissed off is because of HOW CAN A PERSON JUST GIVE OUT A NEGATIVE REVIEW JUST BECAUSE OF HOW THE MAIN CHARACTER ACTS? I'm very confident that it was EASY TO UNDERSTAND that THEY ARE TEENAGERS, right? right?? Giving it a 3 is so unacceptable for me because this show is wayyyyyyy too good, it's actually perfect. Wait, no.. It's masterfully created. Again, for you to rate it low just because you think the romance is bad and unrealistic is just so bullshit, it's SHOUNEN. If you watched this show solely because of its "romantic" elements, THEN JUST GO PISS OFF AND READ OR WATCH A ROMANCE SHOUJO ANIME OR MANGA, thanks!
Bakuman is forever a treasure for me as it made me VERY PAINFULLY aware from the start on how to appreciate manga more. Don't say that there's so much more better works than this just because you think the romance is bullshit, like there is way too much to consider liking in the show, and yet you picked one of the best anime shows ever to exist just to share your negative, smelly-ass opinion to feel "different" and just call it a day, GO FUCK YOURSELF.

This manga obviously reeled me in as it had the potential to be a very good piece of work, but it missed hard, horrendously. The way the author wrote the portrayal of each character's personal trauma and their way of "coping" was accurate enough to keep me reeled in to this "Abyss". The best parts of this manga were mostly in the first half of its entirety, it offered depth. But no, the author said fuck it and then went their way of making it so edgy to the point where it got so ruined. I am not a writer myself but I know how
...
to appreciate and differentiate decent pieces of literature to watered down ones. The entire flow is VERY disappointing, there was no growth whatsoever, it was depressing to read at first, for sure, but it got dragged out to become this... I don't know how to describe it, but it's bad. I just wish it could have been written in a slower pace, and went out in a more realistic fashion. A lot of times, some characters were too "out of character" for them to be doing what they did in the manga, which is REALLY confusing, why would they do that? I actually don't know how the author fucked up this badly. So many things were tackled, a wide range of things like generational trauma, existentialism, and many other things, but it all resulted in just a very edgy way, and how the "happy ending" for some of these characters felt so forced... I'm just so disappointed, really.

Basically, this is about huge perverts having unhinged sexual fantasies and losing self-respect just to see panties. I don't really know what made them to serialize this gag comic that's all about panties. I mean I get it, this is supposed to be funny because of the "whacky" faces the perverted characters make hen they humiliate themselves just to exercise their fantasies. You could say this is just straight up underwear fetish comedy. Also, considering the time this was made, it was probably experimental, there's nothing wrong with liking this type of humor, in fact, I could say I laughed at some moments. But I
...
think it was more focused on the graphic stuff rather than the comedy, that's why it's kind of boring to watch throughout, I mostly skimmed it.
I guess I just have too much self-respect to give a rating about this in a "objective" manner, but I can't seem to stop myself from disliking it. It just leaves a bad taste for me and was just gross at most times.

"Oh dang, a slow-paced sports drama manga that I really like actually got an adaptation without me even knowing. Hmmm, let me see... 24 episodes? Should I watch it? But I already know what's going to... nevermind. I'm so bored anyways, I'll watch it" (Yes I talk to myself a lot, did not regret watching it!)
The anime really did not disappoint and unsurprisingly impressive, I'm like far ahead in the manga but it still made me binge-watch all of it in one sitting. It still made me emotional because of the family drama, it still made me very supportive Ashita on his soccer/football journey (In
...
fact, I was more vocal in saying "Let's fucking go Aoi!" in here rather than the manga), and it still made me enjoy the time I spent watching it. Also, just to add, I prefer the second opening theme, and I CAN'T help but ship Ashita and Hana sooooooooooooooo freaking much bruh. I kept saying stuff like what you expect a hopeless romantic would normally say, and then yell "Ashita, bruh, you got to wife her up bruh you guys fit each other so bad" on their scenes.
Heck, I don't even know why I'm just blatantly putting my thoughts out in this review but I got way too excited to learn the fact that one of my favorite manga has a really good anime adaptation. I would definitely recommend my friends and other people to watch this first, and then start reading the manga if you get too excited. I have read something online about Ao Ashi possibly not getting a second season because of its place in the anime scene right now. Very sad, I'm fine though.
Also, just something to add lol. To the people saying "The overrated Blue Lock is trash compared to this", I totally disagree, as both works might have the same setting in terms of sports of choice, but it's definitely worlds apart with the focus, both are very amazing, respectable that deserves recognition. I absolutely think that Blue Lock deserves the hype because IT IS THAT GOOD. In comparison, the goals are kind of similar, managers wanting to build a team of globally competent players. I'm just going to simplyfy the huge difference between the two: Blue Lock is more on the side of thrill, intensity, and clutch moments, while on the other hand, Ao Ashi is focused on quality of character growth and development, it is more mellow, and approaches life in a philosophical, realistic way. Both are exciting in their own way
Blue Lock is edgy (I definitely did not mean this as an insult, edgy is just the word that came up in my mind that fits more to its story elements), and Ao Ashi is tranquil.
Great adaptation, 8.4/10!

At first I was like really reluctant on reading this as it had a very stupid and funny title, and doubted that it would just make me laugh for a few chapters, and then eventually, I would drop reading it right after. Onanie Master Kurosawa is one of those things that you would suddenly find yourself reading all of a sudden just because you were bored, and you do not have the energy to do any of the daily routine stuff that you have been doing. I'm gonna be honest, I thought the first few chapters were so stupid that I kept asking myself if
...
I should still continue reading it because of how edgy the protagonist is. But then I convinced myself that I need to have a good mindset when it comes to reading literary works and prevent myself from aligning my moralities and ethics with the main character's, and so it worked.
I see a lot of people complain about this manga as it being too edgy and unrealistic, and to those who think it is, I disagree. Onanie Master Kurosawa is definitely a refreshing read as it is a unique storyline and flow that you wouldn't even be able to predict what is going to happen next as the MC is too unhinged (not kidding lmao). Throughout reading the first chapters, I kept talking to myself, saying "There is no way this is what the author has thought of creating, like holy sh*t" and confused it as "dark comedy" in the early chapters, but I later soon realized that the atmosphere is dead-ass serious. It was hard to tell since the art was kind of incomplete in my opinion, not being able to fully see the expressions of each character to its full potential in each panel because of how it was poorly drawn.
Despite the art being kind of incomplete and poorly drawn in my opinion, I still found the aesthetic of it being somewhat of a blurry memory of another person, and that I'm only peeking at their past life, what they have gone through in their atypical youth. I have done a LOT of stupid things when I was 14, but not nearly as bad and creepy like what Kurosawa did, you'll understand why when you read the manga.
I'm just really happy he went and did the bravest thing he could do for himself to force the change to happen over the course of his youthful life, I would have kept quiet and kept it all in, being in a continuous state of unchanging guilt. But I wouldn't do something like what Kurosawa did in the first place LOL. To sum it all up, this was unexpectedly a really good read, please try it, do not drop it, read every dialogue, and don't skip any. This is a work that I would appreciate the author for making as it really is a eccentric manga. Filled with challenging elements that you would not ever see another manga's protagonist would ever go through. Kurosawa is a legend, lol. Very uncommon read, 9/10.

A really long title for a manga/anime has been such a viral thing until now, lots of these types have good starts and are usually very interesting at the start, but as it goes on, you could notice the poor execution the author has done over the chapters that you have read.
The characters are so predictable and has no concrete personalities. You would see these types EVERYWHERE. I mean I kind of get why the MC was that way as he grew up being manipulated and all, but man, this type of shit does not happen in real life and will never be close
...
to at least being a little realistic. I don't pity the MC, have a little backbone bro no human being is THAT stupid to think they are super unattractive when they really aren't. The psychological abuse the MC has suffered experiencing from his childhood friend is something that could possibly happen, but not to an attractive guy. The story is bull, don't read this unless you want to get pissed off.
You can say I just wrote this review just to hate and I wouldn't blame you, it really seems that way. I just really wanted to call out poor writing. People need to start THINKING and have a little bit more taste, rather than eating up this superficial mess that losers eat up as "Oh yea, that's what you get b*tch! MC is so chad! He is the better person here! So me!" type shit, it's SO repetitive and SO boring.

This is just borderline hentai or just plain hentai that became really boring throughout reading it, I honestly think it would've been better if it just focused on a slice of life approach, where there are different situations each chapter with no real storyline. Maybe a lot of other people would like this but it's just unreadable for me. It's a manga made for your libido with the sole purpose of making you "act up".
There are no developments at all, a random character was suddenly forced into plot later on, which doesn't add anything to help the story at all. This could have been
...
better if there were actual dialogues that focuses on random facts and comedy, but it's just filled with pure fanservice, which I am not a big fan of.
It would've been a 3/10, but at least you can respect he author's art-style.

Add an ounce of Harry Potter, a teaspoon of Black Clover, 1/2 cup of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma Kun's, another 1/2 of Beelzebub, and a tablespoon of OPM. Mashle has a very interesting storyline in my opinion. There is an actual goal for the MC to acquire, and it is quite simple: To give his foster father a peaceful life... in a world spinning with magic... while having no magic... sounds REALLY interesting, because it is actually good.
You do not usually get a stoic MC who couldn't get any more denser than a neutron star (ok), he's that type of guy who'd type "LMFAOOO"
...
online, but is actually expressionless irl. Despite his nonchalant manner, he's actually very serious about reaching his goal, which is getting to eat and sleep with cream puffs forever (I'm convinced that's actually what he wants), and you can throw in a bit of clumsiness because Mash really has a personal thing with doors. The best reason to watch this, is that this doesn't have any fan-service for people to keep watching it. It's interesting in its own right without relying on inconsequential stuff like that, truly well-rounded for a parody shounen anime. This stuff is filled to the brim with jokes that are actually really funny, I almost died laughing!! (Not really, almost though) and it has decent fighting scenes, which would make you keep watching how Mash would win against magic as someone who doesn't have the aptitude for it.
+ I really like the aesthetics of the characters
++ stream Bling-Bang-Bang-Born by Creepy Nuts, that song is nuts.

I always told myself that if I get to live my life being in a better place, I would realize one of the things I have always wanted to do: Start reviewing all of the anime shows that have given me life lessons and hope. Right now, as a 22-year old guy, I am finally doing it. I'm still not in the best place I could imagine myself to be, but I am digging deep and taking the step forward, alone or not, just like what Satoru has taught me, that line got stuck into my head, and whenever I was in a dark place,
...
I would unconsciously remember that phrase at some important points in my life.
The first masterpiece that I still remember saying I would be rating here in MyAnimeList would be Erased. I kept telling myself I would re-watch this to refresh my mind on why I think this is one of the best anime shows for me of all time, because reviewing it right away from memory would be an insult to this great piece of work, as I respect this show and the one who made it a lot. I am actually not quite good with words, I just type what I feel so please bear with me. I was really star-struck with this show all the way back when I first watched it. The whole execution of this show was flawless in my opinion, including the smallest ones, which I greatly appreciate about shows in the first place. It gave me purpose that would actually resonate with how I was living my life, how I could see myself just being content with the boring shit and then letting what happened in my past that I buried a long time ago dictate what I would be in the future, Satoru is an example I aspire myself to be like. But apart from all those personal bullshittery that I just wrote about, I'm going to talk about what I think Erased is one of the best. The OST, the whole atmosphere, the storyline, and basically just everything. Every little thing in this show was so well made I could easily consider it as one of my all-time favorite drama mystery anime show of all time. Nothing much to say other than perfection, because it is what it is.
So to the people who haven't watched Erased yet, please watch it. Superb storytelling.

Japan's Rail transportation system is really impressive, on a level of its own for sure. It was fun to watch an anime following the perspective of a train otaku, lol.
All in all, not much to say about Rail Wars! I'm glad it was short because it was kind of boring to watch, despite it having 12 episodes. I finished this anime in 4 days, 3 episodes each because I'm not really fond of an action-based anime with no real storyline, and I'm not really a huge fan of fanservice, but if you are, there are plenty of them on each episode. The fanservice on
...
this anime really stole the spotlight, but the protagonist's mindset is something that you can respect and learn from; the act of selflessness, an element of shounen which the MC should have. I enjoyed watching this when I was younger, not too much now though.
