Good anime but the season ends on a HUGE cliffhanger, which is just cruel. Makes it a waste of a watch unless they come out with a second season. Was going to give this an 8 out of 10 if it had any form of ending. But it doesn't. So here we are.
Premise interesting. Characters developed. Music enjoyable. Animation good. Story fun. Ending non existent.
This anime gave me anime blue balls. The worst offense I can remember to date. If you like plot points to be resolved before the ending, look elsewhere.
On a note of grievances The character called Akane pisses me off.

This anime is so gay without being gay. The cast is mostly men and they all love touching each other's faces and getting their faces really close together. Teenage me, who was a sucker for anything with a hint of BL, would have been thrilled. There is even an angel that the foot fetish people could support. Now that's representation.
The basic premise is that this entitled rich boy who is good at academics is the person responsible for choosing the interim ruler of hell and a bunch of demons are trying to get him to choose them. Also angels are doing things? I honestly didn't
...
understand a lot of the world mechanics. Protagonist, who is recently poor, is focusing paying his tuition and being a #girlboss. He doesn't care about the world mechanics, so why should I? He doesn't care because he is a stubborn atheist and doesn't believe that the demons and angels in front of him are real. Because he is such an academic, you see. Explosions, flying, teleportation, goat people, talking animals, and so much more can be explained somehow. He doesn't know how, but by golly does he use that as a reason to not choose anyone and keeping the plot in a forever fillibuster. Genius writing for an episodic series honestly. As long as you don't get annoyed with the main character. I did.
But the not-gay gay moments really kept me around and I ended up liking it. This world is a mysterious place.

Maybe because I have been wading through a lot of anime mediocrity and trash lately, but this anime felt refreshing how it doesn't force feed you exposition. I even like that in the first episode there were flashbacks to people I don't know with no explanation except the main character grimaced in remorse and sorrow while having said flashbacks. I knew these people were important to him and gone. A good case of showing and not telling that stays true through most of the anime.
After fighting a long war, the protagonist is sent back to high school. This is the fantasy magic high school
...
where they learn no basic skills except how to fight and the filthy commoners barely even get that. Protagonist now wants to use this opportunity to minimize the horrors of war by training his friends that do no know they are friends, using said friends to say "fuck you, classicism", and tab bit of diverting terrorist schemes.
We know nothing of the protagonist aside from "commoner", so there is a bit of Mary Sue energy. I am fine with this because there no kirito harem and love is not a focus. We don't need to know about protagonist because we understand the world around him by following him. Like in a video game where the map gets revealed as you venture to new spaces.
The side characters and antagonists are fleshed out and feel like complex characters. Except that one noble teacher that is the personification of classicism, but he comes and goes. I personally like that the children are not objectified as sexy symbols.
The fight scenes are pretty good. Sometimes you see some feet getting clipped into the floor and other animation errors, but I don't think that is a huge issue.
Note that this anime ends in a setup for the next arc. Kind of like it is telling us to push for another season or read the source material. I liked it because now I can go do that. But don't like reading manga, then better not start the anime until it gets more seasons.

This show has an interesting plot where it is a game of making people your slaves while trying to avoid being made a slave yourself. And capturing a master makes that master's slaves also your slaves. I like how that naturally leads up to a big finale where there are mostly slaves and very few masters. Then the masters duke it out in a final, "who will win it all" battle. Despite that, the tension is rather short lived because the games end extremely quickly and always followed a specific pattern. I won't tell the pattern because I feel like it is more enjoyable before
...
you figure it out. I really enjoyed how most of the characters felt like real people and how the characters came to care for one another naturally(the device to make slaves cannot change emotions). An interesting case of playing "is this Stockholm syndrome?" for the watcher. There is also an interesting game of "is anyone participating in this game a good person?" My conclusion is that there are only 3 good people who wore the master/slave device: the beefy salaryman with glasses, the hostess for a Victorian noble-esq cafe, and the dog. Even the main character, who entered the game to free everyone only planned to free everyone when she became everyone's master. That is still using people as slaves on purpose. I will have none of that greater good bullshit on such a small scale.
Is it perfect? No. Are there many potholes and stupid ways of winning? Yes. Was sexual assault and harassment of women most of the depraved acts mentioned in the synopsis? Yes. I am in no way saying it was a masterpiece, but I am saying that I enjoyed it for what it was and someone else might also enjoy it.

I gotta admit that the hook of a character being isakai-ed, returned, and the isekai-ed round 2 with his entire class was intriguing. There are so many ways it could have gone. It could have explored the instainability of summoning a hero to save the world. Or maybe play with the timelines where the MC had to figure out the new changes of the isekai world he once knew. So many possibilities.
What did they do? They dropped us into the exact same world a couple years later with absolutely no changes but the bad guy is doing bad stuff again. The class that comes
...
with him including childhood friend love interest? They get ditched almost immediately.
Imagine the most boring generic anime where the MC is overpowered and gets the girl harem for no reason. You know the type. Now imagine that some of that generic anime's strengths. like "how is the MC going to learn the power system?" "How will the MC unknowingly seduce the harem?" "What kind of generic world building is there?" Yes, take all those and throw them right in the trash. You see, this is the SECOND time the MC has gone to the world. He already defeated the big bad and got all the fame and fortune and girls. We don't get to see that. All we get is an implication that it happened and oh boy is this MC great. The worst example of how not to do the "show don't tell" literary advice any amateur writer gets taught. He comes and has already conquered. It feels like buying a crappy model Gundam because you at least enjoy the process of putting it together only to find out it came put together. So now you just have a crappy model and gained nothing from it.
Don't bother with the other potential perks. "Maybe there will be good music or animation with detailed boob bounce physics." No. Animation was terrible, music was generic, and the harem is so painfully boring that I don't even remember if they had names. The harem's backstory is literally how they first met the MC the first time and maybe how they waited for him while he was gone because apparently they had nothing else to do. All the harem are in such high positions of power and they all were practically sleeping beauty because the put their lives on hold to wait for the MC.
Further, normally the backstories were a still frame or two that gets shown multiple times. I kid you not, they couldn't even animate the backstories for some of the prominant characters. The child gets the most backstory because she never met the MC before.
Action scenes? Where? The MC swings his big sword and it is over. Or it pans over to a person really far away to bashfully chuckle at how the MC is literally destroying buildings for no reason. Legit the MC could probably just kill the resident bad guy by forehead flicking them and instead decides a tactic with tons of collateral damage.
No need to worry about pesky character development. The MC is a blank void of personality. His only apparent motive to do anything is to find the main bad guy. And the reason is shoruded in mystery. But the mystery is not appealing because he shows no emotions about the mysterious main bad guy and if he doesn't feel anything, then why shoukd I? Everything else he does feels like he read his daily horoscope to decide what to do that day.
I love a good generic isekai because there are fun things about the formula. This has none of that. It is a true failure.
I almost gave it a 1 out of 10, but something stopped me. The thing is...it is bad and unenjoyable, but not so bad that it is offensive. I am just disappointed. Disappointed that the anime companies decides to make this when there are so many better manga out there to use as material for an anime. We, as the anime community, should expect better choices. A lot of time, money, and I assume sweat and tears goes into creating an anime. And they went with this? Talk about a waste.

This anime is a low key comedy. It surrounds Aharen, who doesn't have a grasp on personal space due to her soft voice and depth perception issues, and Raido, who wants to helps but has one heck of a dramatic imagination. The basic premise is that they go about their day together and Aharen does things and Raido imagines some crazy theory based on what she did only to be debunked immediately. The status quo is maintained because they both have unbelievable poker faces, so Raido's inner musings are not made known.
Honestly I dropped the anime at first because there is not much going on
...
and my attention span couldn't handle it. Coming back to it about a year later, I put it on while I cleaned my house. Having it on in the background was nice. And then a little past halfway, there is actual character development that made it all worth coming back to it.
So, I am glad I watched it. It is the slowest of burns, so I recommend it for a chill watch. Maybe when you are too tired to think about complex plots and action, or when you are doing something else at the same time.

I am a sucker for isekai anime and this one had promise to have it's own unique spin. Namely, the protagonist is a fat, smelly, and unpopular high school student. I was like, whoa, someone who is NOT a cookie-cutter-style protagonist and may give us a new experience! That was THE biggest letdown of the season because he "evolves" into an overpowered cookie-cutter-style protagonist. That's right, the anime basically tells us that he was a low tier human until he lost some weight. Love that message. Great start.
The setting starts in classroom where the class was selected to be taken to another world to....fight.....something...demon
...
lord? Unfortunately, the initial reason is lost to me because the protagonist was unable to form a group with the other students and thus got dumped in some random forest with no one else around. Then, the rest of the anime is the protagonist getting swept up in the pace of others with bunch of minor side plots like someone with untreated ADHD.
I can dig a lack of plot if there are other things: mystery, cool action scenes, character development, pretty animation, comedy, ect. This anime provided none of those things.
No mystery aside from some very simplistic politics between the good kingdom, the bad kingdom, and the demon kingdom. Trust me, it is not as exciting as you are thinking.
The action scenes are not the worst I have seen...but also not great. There isn't a lot of thought in them, nor do they happen often enough to be considered noteworthy.
Character development is almost backwards. As mentioned, the protaganist is cookie-cutter and literally "evolves" away most of his personality. The protagonist's harem of girls each gets one or two episodes to explore their past or their goals. I want to note that these are not great, but not terrible either. Then the anime takes the newly added girl and yeets their personality away to make room for the new girl. And let me tell you that I am not happy that these girls are sometimes animals and sometimes children.
The animation is bad. Every frame just ruins any enjoyment. The anime relies a lot on still frames with people just moving their mouth, so you would think the picture of the still frame would be pretty decent. Nope.
It definitely ATTEMPS to be a comedy, as there are a lot of cheap jokes such as "OMG the overpowered character just got more overpowered. What a pickle!" Or who can forget the guild of cooky perverts who are constantly getting kink shamed and have as much presence in the anime as cardboard cutouts.
So why give it a 3 if it was all bad, you ask? I thought the character designs were cute and the studio did not resort to using bad cgi.
So TLDR: This anime is not worth your time.

In short, this is a cutesy anime you can put on in the background.
At first I thought the execution of "a girl who only really wanted to relax in her new life because she was worked to death in her old life" to be a fun concept because she got super powerful and that attracted trouble in the form of cute girls. The problem however, was the cute girls kept coming and so each one lost more and more of their personality. By the end, the protagonist, let alone the rest of the cast, had no goals to speak of. Including the initial premise
...
of "I just want to relax". Just gone.
The by the middle of the anime, cast then became their base "type". The protagonist is the straight man. She is joined by, the cute and earnest twins, the clumsy boobs, the feuding dragons, the morbid ghost, the attention seeking loli. By the end, they were barely even that. Just colorful designs doing things together for absolutely no reason. Totally forgettable.
I put so much emphasis on the characters because the plot is basically the characters doing stuff with the episodic theme of the day. Therefore they are the only thing keeping the show....as a show.
As for the music, the animation, the character designs. They are all fine. Nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about.
IN CONCLUSION
The anime is just cute girls doing things for almost no reason, which is great to have in the background while you do other stuff. Or it would be good for kids who just want something simple. As an adult, though, I do not recommend watching it as the main focus of your attention.

Good lord. This movie is what I can only describe as one good fever dream. Kind of like a dream that you had while running a high fever enough to make you delirious, but also taking some sort of hallucinogenic drug to make you imagine some creative stuff.
For instance, I personally enjoy that the Hell's Academy's Principal, a red demonic figure named "Helvis" who has the iconic white outfit and pompadour of Elvis Presley, has mini pompadours coming out of his nipples.
This anime is seriously fast paced. People's alliances with other characters are flimsy at best and after a while the whole plot descends
...
into chaos. It is a blink-and-you-miss-it kind of plot.
The artwork is very stylized and not for everyone, but it grew on me. Especially because the animation itself is really well done. In the fight scenes, you can feel the excitement.
Don't come for good pacing or relatable character development. Come for the party.

I haven't played the game, so maybe I don't understand the full potential of this anime. I dropped it halfway through because I was so bored. Which is weird because the plot itself about super powers and conspiracies with a dash of handsome men is normally right up my alley. I can only think that my boredom stems from the weird pacing and the Mary Sue main character. Everyone loves her for very basic reasons and she is painfully boring despite having a strong motivational backstory.
Overall, I decided I got no enjoyment from it and would rather watch other shows.
