Both involve using monsters to fight and have collectable card games and such. also both based on video games. Though blue dragon has a more interesting story (not vastly) and reaches some sort of conclusion rather then just dragging it on and on for many years. It also has characters designs by the man who made dragonball and music from the composer of final fantasy games which should hopefully get you interested

Basically the same protagonist cept the one in code geass is quite a lot less of a creep it has more explosions too x)

Both have monsters that battle though digimon has a superior story to pokemon in every way possible
