Ok so I really really loved the first two episodes and waited months for the third one. As others have said, it had a lot of wasted potential.
SPOILERS BELOW
Positives:
- I love the OP and ED so much esp the OP it's really hype HAHA
- Visuals for OP and ED are original and really nice
- Animation and art style is really great except for the last eps which were like,, chibi lol in that last ep when Haru was standing by the elevator like... why is the perspective so far do they not want to draw Haru HAHA
- Made me happy while watching and made
...
me gasp tbh
- Allowed me to have something to look forward to on Friday 2am or Fridays lol
- I love how they incorporated that Haru falling off the bridge thing from the first ep in the last ep lmaooo Kambe is so mean
Negatives:
- The pauses starting from the first ep were really awkward for me like it just didn't work HAHA it might've been too long idk
- Voice acting of Daisuke could've been better but it wasn't bad either knowing this is the debut role of the seiyuu
- Bad animation towards the end like far view on the boat when Haru while climbing up the ladder while the people with guns just stared at him and when Haru was standing by the elevator at the last ep
- Things that didn't make sense like they could've just shot Haru as he climbed up the ladder lmaooo
- How did Haru just jump up that platform as he was being blast away?? But ok
Overall: It was really that great of a show and it had wasted potential. It's not bad either, though. It's a pretty ok one. They just could've done more with the story. I emjoyed watching all the episodes, though, just not necessarily all the scenes lol. 7/10

I loved this anime so much. The reason I started watching this was because Kamiya Hiroshi stars in it. But I stayed for the story and how much I enjoyed it.
I have been following this anime since week one and I loved waiting every Friday for it. It's such a funny and enjoyable anime that leaves you sad in the end.
The characters are very funny and they all have their own personalities. All the episode are entertaining and I never found any episode boring to watch.
The art style of the anime is very cute and the colors are very pleasant.
The OP and
...
ED are very lovely and I never skip them.
The ending was quite satisfying and unexpected and I loved it. I recommend this for everyone to watch.

This anime is just SO good I HAD to write a review. This is one of the few animes that really made me captivated.
I'm not gonna lie; I didn't binge-watch this in four hours, but I honestly could have considering HOW GOOD IT IS. When watching it, I don't even think "Oh, I feel like it's been 20 mins. This episode's gonna end" or "This episode's dragging." It literally just brings me into their world. I always get shocked when the episode ends because I was so caught up in the episode that I wasn't thinking of anything else and I just allow the
...
next episode to play. The only reason I didn't binge-watch this was because I was lazy and was watching other anime. I watched the first episode of this anime in between watching other anime. That's why it took two months to even finish this anime. I watched Ep3 to 6 yesterday and watched the rest today.
The OP and ED are great.
The characters are so great. They are unpredictable and they're all great.
There was no boring episode AT ALL. I loved watching every single episode, and that's very rare.
11/10 One of the best animes I've ever watched.

Since there's a lot of reviews and the review with the score of 1 reviews it perfectly (in my opinion), I'll just straight up say what I think of it.
DUMB. It's so dumb. I really had high expectations for this anime. I knew the VAs were Murase Ayumu and Uchiyama Kouki who are two of my favorite seiyuus so I knew there would be great voice acting. That also encouraged me to watch it. But, from the first episode, I saw that the rating was 18+ and hoped there wouldn't be nudity, but I was so so wrong and I even watched this on TV.
...
That really made me want to drop it as soon as possible. But, I kept reading comments saying it had a really sad ending so I got curious and pushed through the last episode. It was really, really disappointing and dumb as hell. Like, it wasn't explained properly from the beginning why (minor spoiler) Ryo made Akira a devilman. And they just went with it like that. Nonsense. And that ending? Ryo is dumb as hell. He caused everything that happened and he starts getting sad?? lol he has no right to do that but whatever.
For the characters, they weren't presented enough for me to care about them.
In terms of art, yeah sure it's unique. It's not bad, but it's not that great, either. I just thought Miki's character design was pretty cute and Ryo is very handsome. The sexual scenes were just too much and didn't add anything to the story. It's like they placed sexual scenes every second they could. The violent scenes were funny but very exaggerated. I don't think being shot by a gun can make a large chunk of your body blow up into pieces. The art of the Satan vs Devilman scene was pretty good. It was better than other scenes but it wasn't all that great either. And there were some scenes that were SO dark I could barely see what was happening. My phone was on max brightness.
In terms of music, the OP and ED aren't special. But the visuals for OP are good. For BGM, it was alright but nothing really stood out.
Would I recommend this to anyone? No. Never. It wasn't entertaining at all, unless you get entertained from watching R-rated scenes and stupid logic.

Honestly, I had high hopes for this show. I don't really watch shoujo and prefer shounen as you can tell by my list, but I wanted this give this a shot as I really found the art style to be cute, especially the character design for Kou, the main guy character. I also watched it as Kaji Yuki voices the MC. But, I was greatly disappointed. I even read the Wiki to know the ending and I got disappointed with that, but of course I'm only going to discuss the anime.
Story: Very, very cliche. Sure, there were some funny moments that I enjoyed, but for
...
the most part, I was pretty bored and ended up continuing to watch it for the sake of finishing it, and seeing Kou's face as I really do love his character design. It was slow as hell and nothing significant happened. Like, sure, maybe what we want to happen happens in the manga, but this is a whole season that ended with nothing significant. That's pretty lame. I didn't like the dialogues as well and were pretty lame and cringe at times. But, that just might be me not liking shoujo, or the fact that it really was lame.
Art: I love the watercolor art when it goes to flashbacks. Again, I really do love the character design for Kou. But, I think the overall quality lacked at times.
Sound: It was nothing special. I don't really like or hate the OP and ED. I prefer the ED more, though. There weren't any particular moments in mind that were memorable or struck me because of the BGM. So, basically, in my opinion, the BGM was okay, I suppose? But, not enough to evoke an emotion.
Character: I don't think they really showed the character's backgrounds well. I also hate the fact that one particular character keeps crying. We get it. You cry easily. Boo-hoo. The two main characters are also pretty dumb and are good at complicating things. It was annoying.
Enjoyment: Again, there were some times when I would laugh because it does have some comedic scenes. But happy for romance? Hm, barely.
Overall: I expected a lot more and was truly disappointed. I watched it for the sake of watching it. If you don't mind cliche and generic shoujo, feel free to watch this.

I'll go straight to the point. I had VERY high hopes for this anime. My friend told me that it was really good and that the scenes were gory and enjoyable. When I started out watching it, I was honestly scared to death by the dolls, I HATE DOLLS. And I couldn't take it and stopped watching at around Episode 2. But, I wanted to give it another try. I continued watching it and eventually got used to the dolls and didn't find it scary at all anymore. From then on, the slow pace of the story and how boring the developments were made it
...
a snoozefest. The downhill of the story began when the lame truth about that eyepatch girl was revealed. I dropped it after Episode 7 because it honestly wasn't entertaining anymore. It wasn't even that entertaining in the beginning and was really boring from the start but I thought it would get more interesting. I was wrong. The death scenes weren't even that good. In conclusion, the scary scenes were good for a while until it became repetitive and became a total snoozefest. This anime is boring as hell and the concept was wasted. I don't recommend it at all.

<spoilers ahead, though you're gonna find out on ep 1 anyway but yea> I finally watched this the other day after watching Fuyu no Hanashi and constantly seeing Given memes both of Twitter. I already new someone was gonna die and who because of those memes and that sorta upset me (I hate spoilers more than anything but have begin to embrace it due to being exposed to it countless of times), but apparently, it didn't matter much as it is literally the first thing that shows up in Ep 1.
I watched this at 9PM and finished it at 1:50AM. Not exactly 4 hours but
...
that was because I had something to do. If I had nothing to do but watch this, I would've finished it in four hours. What am I saying? This was a story that I really enjoyed to the point that I just kept on clicking 'next' once the episode was over. I even risked the fact that my mom might wake up and shout at me to sleep already (but thankfully that didn't happen) because it was just too good to put it off when it's literally just 11 episodes.
Characters: From the start, I LOVED MAFUYU so so much. He is so so precious and cute and I am glad he had finally turned into the person he is now.
Music/BGM: ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I never skipped the OP and I listened to the ED a couple of times. Fuyu no Hanashi is just brilliant and the emotions behind the lyrics and how it was sang just hits the core of your heart, or at least mine. I honestly didn't cry when watching the series but it has made me cry before. As for the BGM, it really fit the scenes very well. The highlight of the BGM that is memorable for me is when Mafuyu began taking a walk outside and began going to places, places that he and Yuki have been to, I assumed. It just hit me and I actually cried while watching that episode. It was a very sad scene for me for him to go and revisit those memories. The BGM helped captured the emotions perfectly.
Animation: The animation is very cute and very loyal to the manga art style. I loved the colors and I loved how Mafuyu is so orange and bright, in contrast to his feelings and personality at the start. The animation is just great, in my opinion. I don't know a lot of art stuff but it was really pleasing to the eye to watch.
Story: I really loved the story from the start and that's what kept me just watching until I finished all 11 episodes. It has quite a lot of funny scenes that I really loved. I expected to see some development between Haruki and Akihiko, but I guess that would be the seen in the movie instead. I loved how 'love' was explained by Akihiko. I love how Mafuyu and Uenoyama's relationship slowly developed and did not seem forced at all. For me, it was very realistic and refreshing to see. I had moments when I was squealing and jumping for joy, but I don't really remember what scenes I reacted to in that way.
Overall: In my opinion, it is one of the BEST SERIES I'VE EVER WATCHED! Honestly, you won't regret it if you watch it. Note that I watched all episodes in five hours' time. I really loved everything about it and I really, really, from the bottom of my heart, enjoyed watching it so very much. I am really looking forward to the movie, and hopefully, for a second season.
