First of all, Eden is an anime geared towards a more mature audience who pays attention to details.
You must not expect a typical shonen/shojo/moe based anime.
This anime is one of the most well made series I have seen in a long time.
First off, the summary of the show may be a turn off and doesnt tell you much about the show. Here is my attempt at a summary without too many spoilers.
Takizawa Akira is a Selacao, a player in a game, where the goal is to save Japan using 10 billion yen and a cell phone with "magic powers". Having erased his memory, he
...
meets Saki and as thier relationship grows, he tries to find out his past and what his purpose is as a Selacao.
Story: the plot is so well planned out. You are led from episode to episode, where you learn new plot developments every time. It is complex, and requires thought. In the end, it is so satisfying and you want to see more. It is hard to describe the story without giving any of it away.
Art: beautiful art and animation, especially during the ending scenes. Not your typical pretty boys/moe girls either. There are a lot of scribbled out body parts in the show, it can get a bit annoying sometimes.
Sound: the OP and ED are wonderful songs. Although the background music is subtle throughout the series, the music in the last episode was EPIC.
Character: the characters made the show for me. over the series, you see the characters grow and develop, love and hate, show remorse, and you feel so close to the characters. One theme touched on over the show is the current state of youths in Japan..... it is depicted so well, and you feel connection.
Enjoyment: 20/10. I coudlnt wait to see the next episode every time and you learn to LOVE the characters. The show is confusing at times, but thats what makes it so good. If you want some brainless anime, dont watch this show. It wouldnt be worth it at all.

Okay, I watched TTGL to see what the hype was all about. Frankly, it didnt live up to the hype.
Story: typical shonen. It annoyed me how the characters just plowed through the show, invincible. The only thing the stereotypical story had going for it was that it made me want to keep watching more, to find out what was happening next.
Art: I liked the art style, especially when they showed the clips during the middle interludes. I hated the fanservice.
Sound: the best part!! out of all the TTGL hype, what i hear about the OST may probably be true. the music keeps the show
...
alive during the dry parts.
Character: I greatly disliked the characters. They are all stereotypical shonen characters. The loud leader guy, the quiet sidekick who wants to be strong and has hidden potential, a fanservice girl. Nothing special. During parts of the show which were supposed to be emotional for the characters, I felt nothing at all because of lack of character development and overdone personalities.
Enjoyment: I was going to rate this section a lot lower, but TTGL made me want to keep watching the show for some reason. The action scenes are overdone and extremely tiring to watch, especially since there were no breathers. Mecha just arent my thing
Pros
- ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER! (pwnage battle music)
- interesting art
Cons
- people say that this show is EPIC? its just a typical shonen, nothing special.
- overdone battle scenes, they get quite tiring and i couldnt wait for the battles to be over
- bad fanservice
- invincible and lame mecha
If you easily get fired up, or like shows that bring out your inner "manliness", you may enjoy TTGL.
Otherwise... its nothing special. Just another action anime that I can say Ive watched.

This anime.... is just another anime. Nothing spectacular or amazing.
STORY: it started off extremely slowly, and i think the first half of the series was basically explaining the main concept of how people disappear, who Shana was and what she does. I would have rather liked to see all these elements integrated into the story, because otherwise, it is a huge influx of information. The plotline was predictable.
ART: best part of the series. I liked the scenes when there were a lot of red, there seemd to be many shades of red, and it reflected the intensity of battle. NOTE: battle intensity that should be
...
in battles, not, the battles that Shana was in.
SOUND: not bad, the OP and ED were kinda catchy.
CHARACTER: Yuuji is such a tool. His kind of character annoys me. Shana was more interesting, but her obsession with melon bread and her "shut up" phrase was ALMOST overdone. But for loli lovers, her habits would make Shana an instant win.
ENJOYMENT: it moved slowly, I had stopped the series for a while because I got bored. I finished it, just to see what the hype was about after the series was complete. Nothing out of the ordinary, a good way to pass time.
If you like lolis, Shakugan no Shana is a good recommendation.

I found this anime very difficult to get through. The comedy wasnt exactly funny, and the jokes and puns were more like
"oh, i relate/understand that, is my life also considered sad?"
using the rating breakdown, let me explain to you why I didnt find this anime particularly wonderful.
STORY: there was almost no storyline. Sure 4 girls are trying to get through high school. but that sums up every other anime out there, about kids at school. What this anime lacked was drive. Plot is one of the elements which create the drive, but there was none. Im giving the story a 5 just for the
...
sake of the somewhat cleverly placed jokes. As well, many of the elements got tiring and old, such as Lucky Channel, which is a talkshow hosted at the end of each episode. The live action scenes at the end of the latter episodes also got extremely annoying and exploited.
ART: nothing spectacular. I understand that for this kind of show, beautiful art isnt exactly the most neccessary thing. However, a lot of the time, there was no background.
SOUND: sadly, there was hardly any background music. But the sole reason that I rated the sound so much higher than the other qualities is because the OP was just so amazing and addictive. Sadly, the energy and excitement of the OP could not be reflected into the show.
CHARACTER: The characters presented are all very different, and their interactions with each other are very amusing to watch. I would have liked if there was at least some character development, or at least some insight into the characters. Often, characters also give an anime series the drive it needs to go on, but there was nothing about the characters that made you want to know more about them.
ENJOYMENT: I must say that the enjoyment factor, for me, especially, was quite low compared to many other people. This show was extremely hyped, and many many people were saying how amazing it was, and how funny it was. When I watched, I was extremely dissapointed. I even sat the series through to the end to see if I was missing something, or if the "amazingness" came later on. it didnt.
Most of the anime I enjoy watching has some substance, and there are factors like plot and characters that make me want to keep watching it. Lucky Star didnt cut it.
If you also prefer animes with more substance, themes, plot, and character, I do not recommend Lucky Star.

This anime is amazing!!
Important note: you MUST watch past the first episode, and if you do, you will be sucked in!!
The story is amazing. It focuses around the themes of betrayal, loyalty, and brotherhood. Minor themes include coming of age, and love. The fights are great. If the synopsis of the anime does not sound appealing, you still have to watch it because the story is SO much more and is impossible to put into a short paragraph. In short: what would you do if your best friend killed you?
The art is quite good. I really like anime art when it goes away from the
...
conventional eyes and chibiness. The art fit the story well, and people were more realistic. The fight scenes were brilliantly animated.
The OST is great for the anime. The style is somewhat jazzy, and fits in with the intensity of the storyline. The OP is special and it has no words, which is rare in today's more recent anime. However, this creates a great mood for the amazing rollercoaster coming up.
This anime is extremely enjoyable, and you will get hooked till the end!!
(just dont be thrown off by the first episode)
enjoy =D for i know i did immensely.

This anime is not too popular, but it is definitely worth the watch.
The story is really really good. There are so many plot twists, and the pace at which it moves is quick but comfortable. The story is the kind of story i like to watch, with betrayals, battles, coming of age, human nature =D
The animation is nothing special...
The opening and ending themes are really good, especially the ending theme. The background music was good as well, but the reason why I didnt rate the sound a 10 is because the animation sequence during the ending theme should have been more elaborate to reflect song.
...
The characters are really fun to watch. You really dont know the motives of any of the characters. However, the characters just come and go, and you dont find out enough about the characters (except for the main character) after their scenes are over.
This anime was a fun ride, but it was sad that it was too short.
Great short watch!

From the name of the anime, you can tell what it will be about, based on Shakespeare's original work.
Even from watching the opening theme, you can see that the series does not appear to be like the original, so don't expect it and judge this series based on that. For example... flying horses?
The story is extremely well played out. The only reason why I didnt rate the story any higher was that sometimes, the fantasy elements were too much, and didnt always fit in *spoiler* (Escalus). Only at the very end do all the elements fit together. Although almost everyone knows how a Romeo
...
and Juliet story should end, you cant help but anticipate what twist Gonzo will throw in. Most of the story's details are different from the original, but all the underlying themes are there.
The art is beautiful. The character designs are different from commonplace anime designs, and the backgrounds are amazing.
The music is amazing. The opening theme suits the anime very well. The insert song in episode 7 was AMAZINGLY placed and well done... brought me to tears. The ending songs are also good, but at first they dont seem to fit. But as you sit and listen to it and think about the episode.. it just feels right.
I liked the characters the most in this series. One thing I didnt like about the original story was the love between Romeo and Juliet. It seemed more like infatuation, and there was no development of love between them. In this adaptation. there is actually love. You see the characters struggle and love each other so much. Actually, I havent seen such good relationship development in anime for a while (and this includes romance animes). The other characters, although almost all of them have a different role, all fit their new roles very well.
I found this series extremely enjoyable and definitely recommend it to any anime viewer who enjoys adaptations, and a clean anime full of love and struggle.
