Aku no Hana is a series so bold and gut wrenching that I took a 3 year break from it, only to decide I absolutely NEEDED to know how it ended. I wasn't disappointed.

Getsuyoubi No Tomodachi, although not perfect, was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect much going into it but I found it to be a fun, loveable, and sometimes beautiful story about growing up. I think that Abe’s use of words is some of the best I've seen in manga. He has a way of stringing very beautiful sentences together in a way to convey lots of emotion. Lofi After School is probably my favorite series that is built upon a compilation of short stories (which isn't saying much). I think the main problem I have with series like this is the lack of consistent quality throughout. A couple chapters, specifically the longer ones were very engaging and enjoyable. They were beautiful with likeable and well written characters. On the other hand, the shorter chapters typically consist of a bunch of mindless crap that anyone could write without even thinking about it.
