Spoilers ahead (if spoilers can even be a thing for that anime)

The first season was one of my favorite animes. There you could find a really good and fast paced romance, some fights and the characters had arcs of themselves.
Season two, however, is just lackluster, when it's not downright appaling.
Red and Rit are just completed characters. They have nowhere to go. That COULD not have been a problem if the story had become a slice-of-life of those two living a newlywed, but it's not, quite the contrary! The rare moments of romance and slice-of-life are good, but they really are few and far between.
Ruti and ... the assassin girl adapting to the new life are not too bad, but it is not good either. Sometimes I even bite the yuri bait, but obviously this goes nowhere.
And here we reach the worst of all: the new hero arc. Oh boy! It's like a Rambo movie development, when some guy or organization do SO many atrocities that you feel angry and thirsty for revenge, but in the end you DON'T receive that. It really is insufferable!

I can't recommend this show to anyone and even the first season was stained for me. I came for the slice-of-life and if it was not dubbed for my language (Portuguese), I would not even reach the end.

I really don't know how this manga has so high reviews.
The only thing more difficult to know than the question before is where to begin with the problems of the series.

What if we make a history with ships that have limitless power? What if that alone make the whole plot stupid? Well, in this case we have Kanata no Astra.
This is by far the worst manga I'd ever read and I'm not kidding!
We have no consistent history, we have a new Deus Ex Machina at least per volume and NONE of those are explained
If the whole story isn't shit enough, we have this final, that ... want make you believe THE ENTIRE HUMANITY AGREE WITH A STUPID SHIT AND MADE SECRET OF IT FOREVER!
Oh, man, I'd never been so insulted in my whole life. This manga I'll make sure to NOT maintein in my book shelf.

What if someone tries to make a history about twisted people? Well... If you do the right way, it will become something like Scum's Wish. If you do the bad way, will end up on Asshou.
Starts seeming like a generic romcom, brings you some kind of interessing thing about the female protagonist and just crumble really, really fast.
Every single person seems to be REALLY bad. Not bad like Scum's Wish with a woman wanting to take any man just to play with, no, bad like rape.
Nothing brings any consequence and this shit will almost certainly become some magical bullshit.
I dont ... recommend this to anyone. If you like complicated themes and things, goes to Scum's Wish, maybe Boy's Abyss or whatever. Here you will only find bad writting, bad characters and a huge shit vibe.

Starts with a good idea, have some 3 episodes of enjoyment, but after that, the show goes down brutally.
The premise of the show is: a girl who escapes from home and, to survive, prostitute himself in exchange for food and home. Yoshida, the main protagonist, a ~2x years office worker, finds her and give home, don't wanting anymore than home services in exchange.

The BIG problem is: you think that a girl run from house and PROSTITUTING HERSELF, must have A ENORMOUS reason, right?
Wrong. There's NO big reason at all.
Also, the show have NO IDEA of how to ... talk about rape and prostitution AT ALL.
When she's ALMOST RAPED, do you think this will have consequences, right? Wrong. ALL THE CONSEQUENCE IS A SLAP ON HIS FACE AND AFTER THAT, A SMILING!
This show is HORRIBLE and no sane person would like that shit in any situation.

Oh, almost forgot: Gotou-san, boss of Yoshida, is a BIG bullshit in the form of a character! Poor background, poor objectives and ZERO density. Shes just the high 20's virgin girl serving no purpose at all.

Tatoe Todokanu Ito da to Shite mo had an interest idea: what about an impossible love?
Well, this good premise fell into an endless boring writing, only comparable to the poor art. Yeas, the art on the colored pages looks... good, really good to be honest, but on regular bases, coming to the black and white, well, sometimes I want to drop just because of de lazy in the design as a whole.
The characters are some kind of one-dimensional at all. Excepting the love affair of her, no one change much passing the 37 chapters!
Protagonist best friend Kuroe is one of the WORST characters I'd ever ... read, alongside Miyabi and their Stockholm Syndrome. The dynamic with this two character are awful!
If you have nothing else to read, thats ok to give this manga a chance, but I cannot recommend.
ps: the ""true"" final is on the epilogue. Thats give some redeem to the series, but continue to be a little boring and inconsistent.

I don't read the manga.

In the first place, I want to say that I'm a romcom fan, so keep that in mind.
For me, Domestic na Kanojo hit right in my uncanny valley. The story keep me unconfortable litteraly EVERY episode, and that's just great! Everytime I want to know how this will end!
Different from a romcom, in this show things really happen, while the story mix a teen feeling and the adult world in a measure, for me, perfect.

I highly recommend Domestic na Kanojo.
