Pure Mail easily ranked on the top of my favorite hentai list from the first 10 minutes. The plotline, while simple, was incredible and a unique idea for a hentai. The 30 minute episodes include the effects of child abuse, meeting people on the internet and a dysfunctional family.
The main male protagonist, Kei is by far the most complex hentai character I've come across. One very unique aspect of this series is characters with a back story. Kei becomes lovable within the first few minutes and you find yourself rooting for him to find real tangible love. The main female protagonist, Midori shares just
...
as much complexity with her own personal family issues and fear of relationships. The relationship between AW/EVE is so genuine you forget you're watching a hentai.
The only negative aspect of the series was the completely irrelevant side characters. Honestly, I don't even know the name of the girl who blackmails Kei into becoming her slave because I skipped that entire scene, she doesn't even reappear after that. This hentai would be a solid 10 if it wasn't for the 2 unnecessary and long sex scenes involving characters that have absolutely no effect on the main plotline.
As much as I dislike and don't agree with rape scenes, the one in Pure Mail was excellently placed and defended. You are introduced to how scarred Kei is from his father and how unfamiliar he is with true love. I thought I wasn't going to like Miki, Midori's best friend, but I ended up really appreciating her unselfish personality, sensitivity to Kei's situation and care for Midori.
All the characters are fully wrapped up with acceptable endings. I believe the mark of a good hentai is finding yourself really rooting for the two characters to hook up consensually and romantically.
If you're looking for a hentai with complexity, well-developed characters and true love, Pure Mail is perfect for you. You may want to skip some scenes if you don't enjoy random irrelevant sex scenes with no substance or if certain topics make you uncomfortable but this hentai is definitely worth watching at least once.

Once you get passed the whole "my girl is dead so I have to bang her sisters until one gets pregnant" aspect of this hentai, it's actually pretty pretty decent. I believe this anime would be best reviewed by character as each character basically has their own story.
Naoto is, for whatever reason, one of the best anime guys I've come across in a while. I don't know if it's his looks, dazed expressions or dominant personality in bed, but he's definitely very amiable. Of course he has his negatives like being unable to control his urges and "teaching" a young girl sex-ed, but what
...
boy in this kind of anime doesn't have faults like that. Naoto's love for his late fiancee, Suzune as well as her sister, Ayumi, is extremely evident through the entire series. Despite being so promiscuous, he has a very innocent personality.
Ayumi is by far my favorite character of the series. She is the perfect girl. She's pretty, friendly, sweet, and a has very motherly qualities. I found myself feeling very bad for her whenever Naoto would call her by her sister's name because she really just wanted his full and undivided attention while they were making love. However, I do think the execution of the supernatural aspect could've been done better. I was really confused while watching on what was happening between Ayumi and Suzune's spirit.
The other two sisters, Shino and Yuiko are just fillers for the most part. Yuiko is married and it makes absolutely no sense why she would be the first to attempt to make a baby with Naoto when there's 3 other sisters. I found her scenes to be completely unnecessary. Shino, which is certainty the prettiest sister, has a slightly more relevant but equally as unnecessary role as Yuiko. She only has sex with Naoto one time by seduction while she was drunk and the scene seemed to only be thrown in there to show he banged all 4 sisters.
My least favorite character, Mizuna, probably shouldn't of even been involved in this whole baby business. She can't be any older than 13 and doesn't even know what sex is until Naoto "teaches" her and then she becomes obsessed with masturbation and sex toys. Her scenes were really uncomfortable, especially when she violently masturbates in the library for whatever reason. I found myself just skipping all the library scenes as they just looked pointless and awkward.
Not the best hentai out there, but certainly worth recommending. This hentai has a pretty decent attempt at a plotline and a happy ending. Although I would recommend just skipping the Mizuna scenes if you aren't into young girls to avoid feeling extremely uncomfortable. This version also is definitely better than Shin Ringestu by far.

hatsu inu is by far my all-time favorite hentai. It is not awkwardly overly sexual and the characters aren't (for the most part) that dramatized. I love the idea of fujino not speaking. most hentais' main female character talk way to much for absolutely no reason. fujino only speaks once and it adds to the overall effect of the story.
the characters, in my opinion, are excellent. fukaya and fujino are absolutely adorable together. fukaya is quite handsome and fujino has to be one of the cutest girls in anime in general and the fact that she doesn't speak makes her ironically stand-out. of course
...
there's the two completely unnecessary characters, mita and the nurse. mita's scenes are just uncomfortable and the nurse's scenes are pointless. the show would've been a solid 10 if it wasn't for both of them.
the storyline is quite clever and well-thought out for a hentai. most hentais are just big-breasted female and gifted male pound each other over and over with no real story behind it. fujino and fukaya's first real intimate sex scene was exceptional. hatsu inu demonstrates a real, cute relationship between an average teenage boy and his kinky, quiet girlfriend. I found myself really "connected" to fujino and fukaya by the end of the second season thanks to such strong character development.
the art of this anime is both cute and realistic. fujino has a pretty average body and realistically sized boobs. fukaya, as I mentioned before, is extremely handsome and also really "average". the non-sex scenes,, for example the pool scene, is drawn so cutely you almost forget you're watching a hentai.
overall, hatsu inu is adorable. it would've been perfect if the unnecessary mita/nurse sex scenes were cut out. it's excellent for somebody, like myself, who doesn't really enjoy the overly exaggerated and uncomfortable sex scenes some other hentais have to offer. it has the (almost) perfect blend of cute and soft sex scenes along with an interesting plot and a small amount of kinky while avoiding an overly sexualized main character and rape.
