While I was reading Tongari Boushi no Atelier, I was instantly reminded of Ran to Haiiro no Sekai - the mangas are surprisingly similar. (I actually couldn't believe that no one had made a recommendation already). Both of the mangas focus on magic, of the Harry Potter kind. The mangas also share the fact that they both have young protagonists (the majority of Tongari Boushi no Ateliar's cast consisting of the same age group) not too young, but not teenage either. Most importantly, the two mangas are very similar in the way they are both lighthearted yet oddly compelling reads, and I heavily recommend that you give both a go!

Both mangas explore a sweet and pure romance(?) between highschoolers. They also share the same energy/feel, with the main characters meeting/greeting each other for a short time in the mornings, yet never really talking. Both mangas are also very enjoyable.

Both have bloodthirsty, dangerous guys that kill people as their job, and are unperturbed by blood and death. The males in both mangas are also the ones to initially show actual interest in the girls, whereas the girls kinda ignore and reject the males' advances, evidently because of their dislike of what the guys do.

They're both about gang life, and fighting in general. Plus, they rhyme!
