I don't watch much of isekai. This, however, is a truly masterpiece. It has the refreshing story that deviates from the cliche story line of others. The story is really good with quite a fast tempo. The high fantasy world is just nice, not too corny and the class structure is well explained.

Some people gave bad reviews because they do not like the "immoral" behavior of the protagonist. They think this anime should not be recommended because it shows a boy with a 40-year old memory from previous life is having sex with a 15 year-old girl in medieval era and that is gross. The ...

D-Frag! (Anime) add
This has been among the best comedy anime i have ever watched. It is very fast paced and the story would switch no something nonsensical midway, or even before that. Sometimes the beginning of the episode has nothing to do with the ending at all, though coherence is maintained well.

The best thing about this show is it is so so so ridiculously funny. It is pure nonsense.

The worst thing is it ended.

I had friends who do not enjoy this show though and I was intrigue why. Seems that they are pretty much logistical minded and appreciate comedy that doesn't need imagination. So meticulously technical ...

This is not really a show that throws around dirty jokes like South Park. I find it more of the comic tale of a group of people fighting for the rights to use dirty jokes in a oppressive society. There is not much story but the coherence is there. Heaps of laughter and totally enjoyable. The concept itself is novel and anyone with an ear for comedy would love this series.

The show starts pretty fast and you can grasp the concept and comedy early on. By the 3rd episode you would already get the concept of the establishment of SOX- a dirty joke terrorist group ...

Claymore (Anime) add
Preliminary (22/26 eps)
I like comedy and this anime is virtually devoid of it. Nevertheless it is highly enjoyable and the story unfolds well throughout the episodes.

One of the thing that makes a great anime is the progressive unfolding of the world concept especially in fantasy and sci-fic genres. Claymore does this very well and there are still stones being unturned throughout the series. It is definitely worth watching and I found myself glued to run a 12-episode marathon a night after work.

The thing that pisses me off is Rika who is unbelievably annoying with his stubborn chivalrous behavior. Such a useless character whose role is to ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (5/12 eps)
The first episode puzzled me a bit as the story progressed pretty slow. There is not much excitement or information I can gather. Well, some series are like that so I gave it the benefit of the doubt since the rating of this show is rather respectful.

At episode 4 I have grown rather restless as it seems the story is going nowhere. After the 5th episode I totally abandoned it.

The art is good but there story is not catchy enough to keep me out of stamina. This is one of the few anime which I failed to enjoy and eventually abandon mid-way. It perhaps ...

Macross (Anime) add
This is one of the best anime I have ever watched, which was back in the 80s. Last year I watched the entire series and boy, I got multiple goosebumps from sudden hormone rush. By today's standard, the art and sound is definitely nothing to shout at but it was great back those days. You can see how much it differs from MS Gundam, especially the camera works.

This anime is very comprehensive and ambitious at that time, and still very few anime can match how it incorporates action, suspense, romance and science in a bag. The concept of "folding" and energy barrier are just mind ...
