Punchline was made by the same people who made Kill la Kill so if you're into the subtle fanservice and string of jokes, Punchline could be totally what you need! I binge watched it after the first episode. And yes the description of Yuuta getting power from a girl's panties is a big keypoint of the plot. Just believe me however at first the anime seems like any other harem/ecchi with a bunch of fanservice but if you just go through the first episode you can see how great it is with a complex plot and interesting characters. Let's get to it!!
Story:8
The story is
...
very fun to solve out with the character and can get you, the viewer, hyped. The plot is unique but I can't really explain it without spoiling the story, but just look out for:
-an evil government
-betrayal (dramatic music plays)
-body switching
-internet gaming
-a romantic subplot
-ghost possession
-panties sending a meteor to kill all life on earth
AND MUCH MORE!!!
Art:9
The art style is just adorable, the lines are smooth and the animation is surprisingly fluid. The art for the girls (which brings the harem back into play) make them all look unique and have a clear different personality, and the screens between transitions gives the viewer something to stare at. Of course with such a perverted premise of a boy getting his power from panties, those scenes show have a large importance and the style that's drawn is clear, each panty shot looks detailed and let's the viewer appreciate animation as a whole.
Sound:6
The soundtrack of Punchline was nothing special, music never really influenced the anime whether it be the scenes or tone of the moment as a whole. The opening is pretty enjoyable however, it's fun, fast paced, and showcases everything in a fast manner that makes the viewer watch it each time in an attempt to identify everything on screen. Besides that the OST's were pretty decent, nothing to brag about
Character:7
Most characters got some form of closure except for one girl in the shared house, I won't say who as to avoid spoilers but she gets no backstory whatsoever. Besides this one exception, each character has some form of a unique background that all link back to part of the main conflict and form the main story. They're all tied by invisible bonds formed years before they knew who was who, and the character development stays consistent and lets the viewer see the character truly grow up.
Enjoyment:10
I cried while watching this. Punchline is a fun anime that gets the viewer immersed in the small world it created. It gets emotional at some points but besides that moment it has moments that could get the meanest people to crack a smile. Even if moments seem pointless or random, they all tie together and got me thinking of my own friendships. You can see the girls fight and argue, and it goes further from just another silly fanservice anime if you keep an open mind (panty shots were a nice add in too though).
Overall:8
The anime 'Punchline' is a favorite of mine, yet it does hold it's flaws. This review held a VERY biased view over it since it was the first time i watched an entire anime in one sitting at 6 in the morning that I remember clear as day. It can get emotional while it can also be silly and stupid, but if you give it a chance you could be surprised too. Punchline holds a nice theme overall of how friendships have to go through hardships and fights so that the people in them can get closer and bond. If you want an anime that'll be easy to watch, or something to get immersed in, try giving Punchline a try.

If you're a big fan of Durarara!! you'll definitely enjoy Kekkai Sensen, both having seemingly random episodes focusing on random characters each turn.
I'll just say this: Kekkai Sensen was definitely one of my favorite anime of 2015, being more unique than others, and other reviewers seem to agree. Either you'll love it or hate it, since the tangled plot can annoy viewers. Without further ado, let's get to it!!
Story:5
I personally despised Durarara!!, the plot was boring and the story was bland to me, and Kekkai Sensen fits the same mold yet makes the story in a much more unique way as
...
to make me not want to make a deal with an evil demon to go blind and never be forced to see it again. The story is interesting, at least. It follows the whole 'everyone else on the team is way cooler while the main character is a pissbaby sitting back' but is executed in an interesting form. The only thing really pushing the plot is the action, along with silence from the characters before the viewer is assaulted with a blast of action and whatnot. I know you've all seen people praising the story for it's directing style, but honestly it felt very elementary in it's storytelling, with nothing relating to each other and even after significant events occurring the anime just forgets about it next episode. Even with such heavy criticism I just spewed, I loved this anime for giving such heartwarming tales sometimes, I admittedly cried a few times, so even with the disarray you could shed a tear.
Art:5
The art was nothing to brag about, the budget seemed to be lower than others with looped animation and stills every episode. The anime could get pretty impressive once they actually bothers, yet the choppy poorly drawn faces could get distracting. The big scenes that would move the plot (albeit poorly) were the only moments where the viewer could actually understand how cool this anime could've been if they got more cash. The action sequences would either work or fail, it mostly depended. The action sequences can be confusing, since it seems to sometimes have too many things going on at once, yet the creators found every detail necessary. Sometimes it'd make less sense than watching giant robots duking it out in a Michael Bay film, just leaving the viewer completely lost in the battle until the animators hand got tired and the duelers stop to crack a joke or stare at each other.
Sound:9
The music was without a doubt the best part of the anime. Jazz played constantly in the OST's and if I had an album of the soundtrack it'd play on repeat for most of my day. The opening and endings are great, the opening is decent though the ending is where the real magic is. Like literally the ending brings a sense of life to the anime and made me stick around as i binge watched the entire series because of the animation and the tone it conveyed. The music is phenomenal, it has a soundtrack that could easily be compared with that of Cowboy Bebop and deserves a listen, especially if you're into jazz.
Character:4
Sadly, character development is what really kills the anime. If you had to base an anime purely from characters Kekkai Sensen would fail in an instant. Don't let others argue over it, the characters are flat, and never get more than an episode in the spotlight before thrown away forever. The anime has a very big cast however, but each character that looks even mildly interesting gets thrown away the same episode they're introduced. The villains are of no exception, the one introduced in the pilot seems to be such a big threat yet when you actually see him again you realize he isn't important in the slightest. The biggest villain doesn't even get introduced in a decent way, just a hair slick. But don't get me wrong, the characters have great designs.
Leo is the main character but his entire 'thing' is that he just doesn't care? He just gets thrown around with his dumb little power and everyone else does things for him, and you'd expect him to eventually learn combat or something to actually contribute but he just acts as a genderbent damsel in distress.
Zapp likes eating and is a playa. That's it, that's all he is; him and Leo are buds but Zapp gets a form of a backstory but it's mentioned so briefly that it makes the viewer think "who cares?"
There's others, but Leo and Zapp are pretty much the only two to get more than an episode of development so...y'know.
Enjoyment:8
Even with such crappy scores, I really enjoyed Kekkai Sensen. I watched the entire series in one sitting, late at night, so maybe my exhaustion is making me look at the series through tired eyes, thinking anything that moved would be cool, but it was still pretty fun. I'll admit though, I had read a description of it and thought it sounded ridiculous, yet I saw the most fluid bit of animation I saw that month from an anime and decided to try it out. I usually despise tangled stories, since I think it's just a waste of time, but Kekkai Sensen made me excited to see how they'd try to link the stories (which they failed horribly at).
Overall:6
Kekkai Sensen is messy. The story is underdeveloped and all over the place. Characters are disposable in an instant. Yet it's pretty fun if you shut off your "anime superiority" switch and want to just chill out with something wacky and fun. Kekkai Sensen is pretty funny and can get emotional if you get deep into it, it'll be either a hit or miss. Give it a try if you want to try something new, but if you didn't I wouldn't blame you.

Hetalia Axis Powers is a simple story of personified countries going on wacky 5 minute adventures and interacting with each other in simple to understand ways. Germany, Italy, and Japan are considered the 'main' characters since the story supposedly takes place sometime during WWI AND WWII where the axis powers team up. I had actually watched the series when i was 12, which seems like the only good window for the anime to be properly enjoyed especially if you have the attention span of 5 minutes.
Story:5
The story is fairly simple and can get pretty boring after some time, nothing really happening after
...
the episode without having an everlasting effect on the plot. The anime tries to add some sad moments, usually between America and England but it just gets the audience to cringe. If you enjoy easy to follow stories with small tips of the hat to history, sure you could enjoy Hetalia.
Art:4
The art style is ugly, I'm sorry. Each character has weird black marks on their cheeks which i guess is suppose to be a form of blushing? This series itself is old however so the newer seasons have much improved on it. The backgrounds look unfinished and seem rushed, so the entire series looks like an otaku's first attempt on animating.
Sound:5
The music is pretty basic, it neither adds or destroys scenes it's just there. The opening and ending themes are what make the show most popular and admittedly the opening is pretty cute but it does get old after a while especially if you're binge watching
Character:4
I would give it a lower score but I'd rather not be too harsh with one of my first anime with a strong nostalgia factor into these scores. The characters only have one personality trait and they're based off of stereotypes associated with each country. Germany is angry. Italy is lazy. Japan is too serious. America wants to be the hero (he's the only character i found funny first appearance). You get the idea. If you want a story with deep character development and a colorful cast of characters, don't even bother because this anime is pretty shallow.
Enjoyment:6
Honestly the fact it was the first anime I had watched on my own was the reason I gave it a higher score. It was a pretty okay anime, really easy to get through with the short episode run time. The episode were pretty entertaining when I watched them three years ago, but if I tried rewatching it I'd probably move on to something with a higher maturity level.
Overall:5
If you're into flat stories with equally flat characters, Hetalia could work for you. Hetalia is a very basic anime, yet it's popular enough that you'll still want to watch it just because others always reference it. It kinda fits in the category of entry anime, if you're young and want to watch an anime to get you introduced to anime, Hetalia can work with it's easy to follow plot and simple characters. And if you're about 12 and want to fangirl over yaoi, that could always work too.

Space Dandy was created by the same people who brought you Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop, legendary anime known for their great storytelling and stunning visuals, so what makes Space Dandy so special? Well it should be noted, he's a dandy guy in space with a great story to tell. The episodes seem a bit random but really piece together in the end, Space Dandy season 2 really brings together the entire feel of adventure you get from season 1, it has great storytelling and is in all entertaining. Critiques to keep in mind however, the ending is full of crap, not really
...
a spoiler, more of a warning. You really get attached to the story and art of the show, sometimes an episode can get you confused, but in the end you'll really miss the journey you went through with the Dandy Space Crew. Truly an anime worth watching, and one of the few where the dubbed and subbed are as equally good, so watching either is great.
For some more in-depth, first we can start with story: the story is a jumbled just like the first season but the seemingly random plotline is what really makes the story great, especially with all the butts and boobies to gawk at on the way. The art is just stunning, the animation itself is outstanding and in few episodes you'll have to pause just to admire the quality of both character design and background art. The sound and music of the show is great, it has great music to listen and gives a sense of awe. The character development of the anime.........isn't that well done. Keep in mind they can travel in space! They aren't off to see the same person all the time! However, you get a sense the characters never really change purely because the gang continues to move around everywhere, leaving loose ends everywhere such as Scarlett's and Dandy's relationship or Honey and her brothers true nature. Personal enjoyment is truly a 10, the anime is phenomenal in the sense of entertainment! Overall it'd deserve a 9, being a great anime to remember and watch when you want another adventure, but not one with complex storylines or anything serious, something just to sit back and relax, laugh and cry a bit, definitely a 9/10.

Dragon Ball Z is truly a classic anime and perfect for even those who haven't seen Dragon Ball. The anime is a classic even among people whom have never seen anime before, and it's a much watch with it's classic battles and storytelling. I personally enjoyed each character's development throughout the series, hard set characters slowly changing into the characters we have then known to love. If there's any critique to be given about DBZ, it should be said that battle sequences do get boring after some time, the characters screams for maybe a solid 2-5 minutes before the battle actually starts,
...
and the plotline of each of the three major sagas, Frieza, Cell, and Buu, can seem a little repetitive, but honestly what anime isn't? The fillers are entertaining and this anime is definitely worth watching for any anime fan.
