One arc have post-apocalyptic setting where the MC is left in a world surrounded by some kind of zombies, and the latter arc have a character having delusion because she can't accept the harsh reality. Both elements are the main theme in Gakkou Gurashi. Other than the similar character designs, the OP song animation of both shows will have some changes, so its better to watch the opening too.

The relationship with main cheracters and the atmosphere are also pretty similar. Hyouka has more mysteries, while Bungaku Shoujo has more focus on the drama, relationship, and romance.

Both shows also features 2 main characters who have pretty much similar goals, but have opposite personality and methods to work. Penguindrum starts pretty light-hearted but then turn darker as the story progresses near the end. Both anime also have similar character designs and their shadings.
