"These are a few of my favorite things!"
Sakamichi No Apollon delivered in the enjoyment category no doubt. That late 1960's vibe, combined with the animation and music of the show, and lively characters..all of it was simple, yet effective and satisfying. Sentaro was my go-to watch character in the series, just because his story and appearance, and his attitude, and he was christian. Richie and him went great together in the whole series, it felt..right and necessary having them around each other, because the anime felt interesting whenever they would meet up. Just those two making music, filled KOTS duties on music. Of course let's not forget the other musicians.
The other characters weren't too important aside from Ritsu. Junichi's scenes and involvement were good, but really...man all I wanted to see is if when am I going to see more jazz being made! Richie and Sentaro, without them getting screen time together the show would be probably bad! Those two characters go hand-in-hand, because they created lots of entertainment for me. The last episode..oh man it was fantastic, a great ending indeed (you won't be disappointed!)
As for the rest of the story, some parts feel extremely rushed..and those specific parts I felt would've been essential to make the story more interesting and to get to know the characters way more. The story isn't special at all aside from the heart-warming and tear-jerking ending. I never understood Richie, he was so surprising and so interesting in the beginning of the series, however later on, he gets confusing. I never got to know much about him aside from his few interests. Again, this story is laughable and probably mediocre, simple but nothing much to talk about, although the ending justified it for me.
As for music..I went ahead and downloaded the ost. You will most likely be to do so as well if your into Yoko Kanno's stuff. I watched the OP every episode. Special effects were close to none at all including atmospheric effects, car noises, birds chirping, wind blowing, none of that organic stuff. Voice acting was good, I liked it alot! Background music fitted in so well with so many of the scenes as I could remember, some of them were really feel-good and just nice to have an ear on!
I'll end this review here. I want to recommend you to watch this anime, even though there's a tiny chance you won't like it..but it's only 12 episodes of music, drama, and romance. ALso, I just wanna say this anime made me cry like buckets. Just do yourself a favor and watch Sakamichi No Apollon, it won't hurt. If you like enlightening and heart-warming stuff, watch this anime!
Thanks for reading!
May grace and peace be with you, and God bless you. :)

Just finished viewing! True Tears was pleasant to the eyes :) I recommend most romance fans to give this try, as it won't likely be a waste of your time! Just try this anime, you won't regret it or much at all.
Here are my ratings
Story: 6
Art: 7-8
Sound: 6-7
Character: 6-7
Enjoyment: 8
...
Overall: 7
I liked this anime because of the oh-so cuteness of the characters, and the setting of the art! The art and the story are partners in a mission here, I say this because True Tears gives you that snowy-then sunshine calm vibe, then which the characters help portray in the series. Not seeing any cars, quiet roads, the sea, chickens, and a kid making a picture book about it all. Now, the art is gooood, but nothing special to throw the rest of the animation into high tier...but still, just right! The series just feel interesting to watch another episode, you'll even have a few laughs probably. You'll feel sorry for the characters, annoyed, or impressed. Either way, your going to have fun watching them in here. Cuteness is the name of the game, and True Tears can score some big shots!
There were some cliffhangers in the series, but I felt like they lead me on because of the way they were resolved. The drama and it's big moments looked to be super engaging, but they didn't resolve those big moments in a super dramatic way..you'll just see mere glimpses of the results from them, they feel like flashbacks almost. No real tear-jerker moments for me, although there were some that had huge potential. Isurugi Noe without a doubt the most fun and interesting character to watch in True Tears, had big drama that was built up on and around her to start off. Later on in the series, she just waved goodbye to generous plot time due to complications, and the complications didn't even justify her to step aside. When that happened, it felt like a part of Shinichiro's (Lead char.)story sat on the bench, in an uncomfortable way.
The rest of the characters were ok, but they were in no way to be associated in a 'IRL' type of vibe, due to the unrealistic nature of their personalities. For me in True Tears, I felt it needed some realism aside from Noe's take, which gave me all the cuteness and appreciation of a character having her own different visions and thoughts. The "special-ness" and some of the cute aspects of the series were fading away fast from when it got to the mid parts of the story. I don't want to get into the rest of the characters too much..I would talk about Shinichiro too but I won't bother. So hence the characters plot struggled, which means the story sure did. It was kind of a big deal, but whatever.
This type of romance had the development done for the characters, but there was no real value to it..idk how to put my reason into words, like they would basically leave you hanging over and over, their feelings and emotions felt more confusing than interesting, big moments didn't really contribute much to the progression of the friendships involved, like they would have a intense conflict/ fight between some characters..and then the next scene they just act like it never happened in the story ever, and the characters themselves forget most stuff that happens in that matter..the juicy stuff. They'll just skip to the next episode like nothing happened
, that's what I'm trying to say, relationships come but only to become merely aesthetic and acts like a checkpoint to progress the story, rather than having the real thing. (Basically no juicy stuff to follow up their big moments.)
The music was okay. The sounds of True Tears, no real special effects concerning the sounds of the town, horns, bells, people talking in the background, organic noises..not much or none of it at all . In other words, there is no 'sound of art' for me. I skipped the opening generally, and I also skipped most of the time the ending even though it was so pleasant and cute to watch! (It'll make you awww.) Background music doesn't get repetitive, but again nothing special, most of it is not catchy enough to download an OST..I'll skip on that. Voice acting was done just right, nothing much special to write about it, but just nice enough.
I'm about to end this review. All in all, I enjoyed True Tears. You probably will too if your a romance fan. You'll just feel nice watching this anime. I don't think I'll be watching True Tears much often again, but that won't stop me from recommending it to others.
7 out of 10 for me! Grace and peace be with you, and God bless you! :)

Ha! Funny as heck is what this romance packed a punch in! where should I start...ah yes my good parts and bad parts!
I liked this anime because of it's lively romantic comedy an it's mix of lovey dovey moments. That's what makes this anime so enjoyable. Kotoko Aihara was cute, her friends too. Just the way her personality is made up is most of what Itazura Na Kiss runs it's comedy on! Heck, I think they did a not-so bad job on the laughs, and I had my laughs. Heck, I even had some tearjerkers, and they were nice too. Umm, Irie was absolutely hilarious
...
sometimes. His kid brother too. The lovey dovey scenes were nice, the very few of them that happened, I was intrigued and it felt satisfying for those moments of Irie and Kotoko. They did start getting a tad weaker going through the mid to end parts of the series but they were few of them due to how the plot and the development was based on, which became a hindrance but hey, the moments were neat and nice to have jsut enough to make you smile! Kinnosuke and the gang, well they were funny. I did like Kinnosuke alot though, because he was actually involved in Kotoko's life! The rest of Irie's friends and peers other than Irie's family and all, well... nothing much to say to that. Oh btw there's marriage!
What I dislike about the anime well haha you guessed it is the story. This is one of those animes that like when you go time traveling in a fast car months and years into the future, and then you finally arrive to the future at ferrari-esque speeds, and then the plot couldn't keep up with the car...turns out the development for the characters that had something going for them just sat out away from the car too...Hence the result, the characters development were fail. This is IMO remember that. I thought I never got to see enough Irie! I thought I understood Kotoko, but nooo...Umm when an issue happens, it's so hasted, and so like..idk...but it's synthetic. It ain't fresh, it isn't lively, it's like the same old boring-looking pizza you see at a pizza shop type of thing, idk how to explain it. The conflicts didn't explain themselves well, the characters appear and reappear whenever they want..remember Kotoko's dad, her little crew, Keira, and Matsumoto...come on... Pretty much, the friendships in this anime are not realistic at all. It doesn't feel irl to me, like...not even a chance. when you combine trying to pull off marriage and have an interesting cast of characters..
.I know it's hard but man I think Itazura na Kiss was greatly held back and hindered by this issue. The animation was whatever, nothing great to look at for me. Music was the same, some parts nice, some parts repetitive. Um yeah..the story was rushed, therefore most of the characters where whacked up and downright boring to watch for me when the high school era subsided other than Kotoko and Irie.
TL;DR Overall I do recommend this anime for some touchy moments and some laughs, but don't expect to get a whole lot of both in one punch due to the plot development. Actually I'll recommend to most anime romance fans, heck maybe even to all romance fans, because Kotoko is just cute haha! This will get a 7 out of 10 from me.
(I have decided to re-write this review soon, since it's not very accurate and helpful anyway!)
Thanks for reading my mediocre review and may God bless you and may you be filled with grace and peace. Amen.

God's grace be to you all.
My first review, it's going to be whatever.
I am also going to say first, I highly recommend this anime to ANY romance fan. The sheer fun of watching this is nice considering how fast paced the story is at the beginning, you'll always come back for more until it's all gone.
What I liked is definitely the suspense of what's going to happen in the next episode..mainly this romance anime consists of cliffhangers, and 'cliffhanger addiction' if that's even a term lol. That's what makes Peach Girl so enjoyable, you literally cannot wait for the next episode to see what's going
...
to happen to Okayasu/ Toji/ Sae in their love triangles etc. This anime is a love triangle fest, and also a girl that can't make up her mind with the guy she likes, due to the atmosphere of confusion and fraud she kind of had, or she had..idk just watch it yourself.
What I didn't like is how it becomes a little bit unrealistic (just a little bit). But you know what the Bible says, a little leaven leaventh the whole lump. Momo's decisions were just plain strange, her nature from the start of series when it was interesting suddenly in the mid part was gone, and all her friends had all these secrets that most of them just didn't make sense either. Sae was evil, but she made the story what it was, and she had nothing to hide because it was always exposed.. it was understandable, she had a real plot and a realish character compared to the rest of the cast. Toji...haha! Kairi, mmm I didn't get him either. Kairi's brother...what?
Like some of the plot... it was ridiculous, and the ending didn't show me what happened to these characters anyway to understand them enough. The ending was supposed to be the K.O blow for me to give it a good rating, and it judged whether this anime was good or very good (probably if the ending was waayy more developed, it couldve proably made the experience way more enjoyable than it was supposed to be.) My meaning in understanding is that it just has to make some sense..it doesn't have to be a extremely clear view of who the person is and what happened and what's going to happen. I didn't get Momo enough, it was a 'good thing/ bad thing' type of deal.
I managed to jerk a tear or two of happiness when the final moments happened at the last episode, it was nice and w.e for that moment, but then after that..the anime just felt incomplete, even though it was complete. All I'm saying is that it could've been WAY better.
As for the animation,just..bad. I think sometimes animation can extremely hinder romance animes. Unfortunately, Peach Girl was hit hard, and the animation took a role to devalue this best moments, into horrible drawings. I was disappointed, and at times, really let down because of it.
Overall, I definitely recommend it, just because how fun it was to watch Momo vs Sae, and the love triangle-drama! Peach Girl is a real marathoner in my opinion, most likely for you too!
From me, this will get a 7 out of 10.
(I have decided to rewrite this review soon, due to me thinking it can be much better by being more accurate and accessible to help others understand why they should be hooked or not to watch Peach Girl.)
Thanks for reading, God bless you!
