B: The Beginning is a crime show with great characters, great comedy, great action, and disturbing imagery.

Story: 10
I really enjoyed the ideas the writers had for this show. The setting of Cremona and the questionable, scientific-religious practices hooked me and I'm really happy with how the story went.

Art: 10
The art style looks great, very smoothly animated, with great character designs, and lovely background art. I especially liked the looks of the village buildings, for some of the exterior shots. They just look so nice. It was extremely well-done, in my opinion. Surprisingly, I didn't hate the CGI visuals, despite that being one of my main ... gripes with newer anime (the CGI was used with only cars, as far as I noticed, and they didn't all look great, but they weren't an eyesore).

Sound: 10
The voice acting (dub) was great, there were quite a few voices I recognized and they each fit their respective roles quite well. And now, about the opening and ending themes: I loved them. The opening is really just a few seconds long and shows the title, but I still liked it. The ending ("The Perfect World") is great and pairs so well with the visuals.

Character: 10
The characters were compelling and well-written. I liked the dynamics of their personalities and I'd say my favorite character was Lily.

Enjoyment: 10
I bingewatched this in two days. I couldn't put it down. I wish there was more of it, right now. Luckily, I see there'll be a second season at some point and I look forward to that.

Silver Spoon is one of the best animes I've watched all around, with great writing, characters, and moments (which makes sense, considering it was based off of the manga by Hiromu Arakawa, that's right, the brilliant woman behind Fullmetal Alchemist)

It's a slice of life anime with a lot of great moments, funny, sad, heartfelt. It was written extremely well (and, as a note, after the second season there is more content in the manga, so if you can't get enough of the story, don't worry, she's still writing more of it)

Art: 10
Very well done, with a lot of great visual gags and pleasant looking ... animation.

Sound: 10
The openings and endings (for both seasons) are splendidly done, fitting the tone of the show quite well. The voice acting (sub) fits each of the characters very very well.

They're well-written, with their own problems, desires, and personalities, making each of them feel like real people, adding to the narrative and situations that occur in the anime.

I would highly recommend watching this show. It's well-written, with good characters, and animation. It became one of my absolute favorites, effortlessly.

Violet Evergarden is one of the best animes I've watched in quite a while.

Story: 10
The writing was compelling and definitely made me tear up a few times (which is rare for me, when it comes to, well, a lot of things, really), and I usually take this as the story being very well-done. As it was.

Art: 10
I often found myself marveling at the intricate animations of their movements, especially Violet's hands. There was something about the light clinking in time with the bend of a metal joint. Each scene was beautiful, in one way or another, and it was just amazing.

Sound: 10
The music and background ... sounds were done wonderfully, coupling with the animation in a great way. The voice acting (dub) was actually quite good, except for a few certain characters.

I loved the characters, many of them were quite interesting in some way or another and I just enjoyed how the interactions between them and Violet took place.

I loved this anime immensely, everything from the animation and characters, to the story and the world that everything was set in. I especially liked that there was even a different alphabet that wasn't nonsense and stayed consistent with itself, it looked great, as well. I would highly recommend watching this. As a note, there's a movie coming out in the next few years, so I'm looking forward to that.

Samurai Champloo is weird, funny, sad, and great story with inaccurate portrayals of history, but done in a very fun way.

Story: 8
It was a very fun slice-of-life story based in a historically inaccurate Edo period (1603 to 1868). And those stories were very fun to watch unfold. Although, I didn't enjoy episode 22. If you've seen the show, you'll know what I'm referring to, probably, and if you haven't, well, have fun.

Art: 9
There's something about gritty anime art-styles 1990's to early 2000's that I really enjoy. It was much the same when I watched Cowboy Bebop.

Sound: 10
The music was great, it fit very well with ... the show. The voices used for the dub of the show were very good, each voice fit very well for their characters.

Character: 10
One of the main things about this show are how the characters interact with each other and the situations that they bumble into, and, I've got to say, they were written very well.

Enjoyment: 10
I highly enjoyed this show and would definitely recommend that it be watched at least once, either before or after Cowboy Bebop (which was better, in my opinion).

FLCL is an interesting anime about a kid living a "normal" life.

It's odd, very odd. It's kind of everywhere, but there is definitely a narrative there, and I'm fairly certain I understood what they were going for.

Imaginative and insane, the art is very well-done and very aesthetically pleasing.

Sound: 10
The music is amazing. "Ride on Shooting Star" by The Pillows is one of the best anime songs that I've ever heard and I sometimes just re-listen to it to experience that punky song. I tried both the dub and the sub, as I usually like watching dubbed stuff because, why not, and I found ... that the sub was much better. The dub wasn't done as well as it could've been and there was something grating about it, at least for me.

Everyone, it seems, has some sort of insanity about them, but they're still enjoyable characters, nonetheless.

I highly recommend this anime, it's a must-see, even if you hate it or love it.

Darling in the FranXX is a fantastic anime definitely worth watching once or twice, I highly recommend it!

I loved the story, it grabbed me from the first episode and kept me through the whole show, waiting impatiently each week for the next airing episode.

Very smooth and pleasing to the eye. As a quick addition, the character designs looked amazing, and the environments told a story as much as the story itself did.

Very well done, especially the openings and endings, "KISS OF DEATH" is awesome. I initially watched it with subtitles and checked out a few scenes from the dub to compare. In ... conclusion, I found that I preferred the subs because the voices matched the characters much more, especially Zero Two's voice (there's something about the way she says "darling" that makes the Japanese voice so much better than the English one).

Like I said, I was waiting impatiently each week to watch the newest episode, so I enjoyed the show a fairly large amount.

I recommend it. It's not just a mecha anime, it's really good.

Well, Neon Genesis Evangelion was most definitely an interesting show.

Honestly, it wasn't that bad at the start, the premise was great and I actually quite enjoyed it, up until a certain point, specifically the later half of the show. The narrative became quite out there for me, and I usually enjoy unique, odd plots, like, quite a bit actually.

For the '90's, they did a great job, although, I could've done without some of the headache inducing light flashes and jarring one frame changes, but I got over it.

Every character has flaws, which is a good humanizing thing to have in a show, but also, they seemed to only focus on their flaws, including some certain characters. It was disheartening and frustrating.

I couldn't put the show down, it was quite intriguing, but equally headache inducing and I would've liked more answers to some questions, and perhaps would've been a little more satisfied if the ending was different. Oh well. I'll see how I like the movies, when I get to them.

A true classic. Cowboy Bebop is a sort of slice-of-life anime about retro futuristic bounty hunters in the 2070's attempting to keep food on the table and nab their next head. Warning, very biased review.

Fantastic, as I said, it's mostly slice of life, but don't let that dismay you (unless you love that sort of thing, like I do), for each episode has a fun to watch adventure (or non-adventure, I suppose) that really is delightful.

I find the griminess of its 1990's animation somewhat endearing and very pleasant to look at, even if it might not be as clean as the modern art ... style.

Tank! is an iconic opening, if I've ever heard one. And Real Folk Blues is a great ending, as well. The voice acting (dub) is one of the best that I've heard, each voice fits the characters very very well.

Their characterizations are very well-done, quirky, and overall incredibly enjoyable to watch them interact with whatever the situation is.

I watched the first two episodes and let it sit for about six months before picking it back up again, promptly devouring the rest of the series post-haste. I loved it to bits and miss the characters already.

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet is a story set in the distant future, with Mecha (Yunboro, in this case) and the Hideauze.

I felt that the story was well written, perhaps not in certain areas, but it was well done, other than those small bits. Also, this story is less about massive overarching mech battles and more about culture shock and adaptation.

The opening and ending weren't bad, they weren't terribly memorable, but they were definitely not bad. The voice acting (dub) was good, each of their voices seemed to fit pretty well. And what I really enjoyed was that ... the characters actually had different languages and interact in regards to those (rather than magically knowing each others languages out of the fricking blue, which is a pet peeve of mine).

They're all interesting and seem to be adhere to who they are and it's pretty great. There are moments of cheesiness, but that's an expected thing, at this point.

I loved it, it was really well done and enjoyable to watch, even if it was short.

Howl's Moving Castle is one of my all-time favorites movies, so bear that in mind when reading this review, I'm extremely biased towards giving it a good score.

I love the way that Miyazaki writes the stories. He lets the plot progress as he's making it, which can be quite risky, but usually ends with a natural feeling flow to his movies.

I got into these movies later than normal because usually people have watched these when they were kids and have fond, nostalgic memories of those times. I, however, didn't watch any Ghibli movies when I was a kid, but did see a lot of commercials on VHS. I've got to say, even though I only watched this sometime last year, or so, I'm really loving them.
