Both are light-hearted romances that take place at school. Very relaxing to watch, there is no drama, and you will love all the characters!

Mimi wo Sumaseba is another great Studio Ghibli film that has two characters trying to find their passion in life similar to Nakitai Watashi, however, I would say Mimi wo Sumaseba is an overall better film with great characters and classic art.

If you like a story where the main character gets into a relationship quickly, this is the perfect show! Ore Monogatari is a very fun anime showing the slow progression of a new relationship, with very interesting subplots that develop the other characters. Ore Monogatari also has amazing pacing, and great humor!
