This is my favorite manga of all time together with Spirit Circle.
The story is just so well told, nothing fancy, or even new, there are a few on this very genre telling a similar tale. But this one focuses on the relationship of the brides and groons and how hard it is to make it work on a world that is just so cruel.
Taking place before a major conflict, we can't help but wonder what characters will make it by the end, and the outstanding art just makes it more gripping.

It's a basic story.
Part 1 of JoJo is very different from this one. The focus is mostly on it's main character, instead of it's villain. The cast of characters revolve around Joseph and the story, unlike part 1, where it seem everything was about Dio and his evil scheme. Making Jonathan feel weak as a character from a writting stand point. Add to that he was already a "boring" archtype to begin with, and he was screwed from the start. Here however, we go a full 180. Joseph catches your attention from the word go, and his schemes, guts and memes (yes), will not ...

Togashi at his best. I could say he evolved as a story writter, and world building in HunterxHunter, but he was already a master at everything else by YYK. This story man, it's just so simple, but so well told. It's the DB effect imo, something that seems obvious now, with so many shows and series doing it similar, but this was what influenced them all.
A must read if you're a fan of action and the supernatural. While obviouslly flawed, it does with so much charisma is hard to hold it against it. I trully can't forget the amazing Dark Tournament, that together with ...

I enjoyed this way more then I thought I would. So much so I dare say this is THE strongest first season any shonen anime had ever got so far.
The animation is god like, like seriouslly, someone eating a sandwich in this show is better animated then some whole shows. The characters are, for me, REALLY charismatic. And their banter is funny to watch. Some take more time to warm up then others, but eventually they click and you're laughing or hyping them just every other character you knew for longer in the cast.
