Wonder Egg Priority was promising. tackling serious real world issues such as suicide and abuse, with deceptively colorful, cute, and pretty animations. i really thought– with the pace it has in the beginning– that it'd be a perfect anime. it has most of the things i like in film/anime: ambiguity, puzzling storyline, and it also feels very "art house"– which was really great. but, as the show went along, everything just leads up to an even bigger mystery; and unsurprisingly, it ended with this giant amalgamation of questions left unanswered. not to underplay how good and thrilling some of the later episodes are, but i ...

completely bewildered with how this anime got the score that it got. "8.37" (by the time this review was written) is a ludicrously generous score for this clichéd, shallow, and mediocre show that it is.

before i showcase the "bad parts" of this anime, i'm going to write what it got right (in my opinion, of course). what i like about this anime is some (less than a handful) of it's characters. no matter how i get annoyed by the dumb and shallow "science" the anime keeps on forcefeeding me, i still care about the side-characters. they're charming, and surprisingly have depth. second, ...
