Have you ever wanted to be like a terrorist ? Rape you own mom and daddy and the kill them ? That is how this hilarious show begins with...

It is a short series, and i mean, very short series indeed, about a country emo boy named negishi who comes to tokyo to fulfill the dream of his life: to become a legendary rock star who came from hell and rapes every single woman he encounters...oh wait, this is not what he really wanted to be apparently, it was just a bad dream...wasn't it ?

Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is the drama of emo boy "aka ... negishi", who in fact is a very soft and respectful young lad, who adore simple things in life like butterflies, flowers and love swedish pop music (ugh?!) and french designs for clothes, (did i mentioned emo?) well... that is, until he incarnates Krauser-sama, a demon who came from hell, for his performance in his own death metal band, called of course: Detroit Metal City! Krauser-sama is his own stereotype for a death metal rock star in a constant hate for the world, the women, the capitalism, laws, government et cetera.

But negishi is not only an actor who incorporates Krauser-Sama, in the deep, he really have all those traits of bad behavior in which he let them out in his live performances, but as with everything that comes out of the closet, we can see negishi bad traits starting dominating his own soft (emo?) natrure in some cases which he loses control of his self.

With that being said, the whole series tells this very tale in a fantastic way, with negishi in conflict with his two contradictory parts, and the wrong part assumes him at the wrong moment (for the laughs) and he can control his self most of the time to shows us valuable lessons in life for self-control and how we can use our bad traits to help others around us , and to resolve conflicts with others...of course, in a humouristic nature, because this is a comedy show after all.

The art seems a little cheap to me, but i liked the style they use cropping various parts of the screen with black lines, they managed to turn the low budget problem at their side, but the producers don't fool me !

The music is standard black metal music for Krauser, and swedish pop (ugh?!) for negishi, the rest is ok soundtrack for comedy shows.

Summarizing, Detroit Metal City is a crazy incoherent comedy and you must like contradictory things to really enjoy this series, or in other words, Detroit Metal City is another MASTERPIECE that will never leave our hearts ^^

SCHOOL DAYS => How a REAL anime about school should be like,

Do you ever in your school life passed through a similar situation ? You're dating a girl and suddenly you cheat her with another girl, and you just cannot choose one of the two, because it is too dawn good this whole situation ? or you are just "confused" about which one to pick but in fact you want to date both girls and let this situation continue as much as possible ?!

School days take us to another level of enjoyment, because it is not some shitty anime about school life like some "visual ... novel" based one, but it is an awesome anime about school life without any kind of filler episodes or people coming back from afterlife, not to mention some other awful situations those bad animes forces us to watch...

That is why school days rocks so much, unlike some other protagonist of some shitty "visual novel" based anime, the main protagonist of this series is not a pussy, in fact, he becomes the natural evolution of every shy and innocent youth (READ IT ASSHOLE), and managed to "be" with all the girls he wants to, in fact, like in other harem series where all the girls have a crush on the main protagonist, but with the difference that the main protagonist of school days develops from a pussy to an asshole, and this would be the BEST CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT i've seen in the entire anime history of all time !

I guess the main subject of this series that the producers want us to take a time and reflect upon it, is about CHEATING.

I've stated so many times that CHEATING is not a bad thing at all, if you do love someone from the bottom of your heart you'll never cheat that very person, but if not, you can cheat at will, and it is up to this other person to be caring and understand why you did cheated her in the first place.

School days managed to show us both sides of this very coil, the one from the protagonist perspective, and the other from the cheated girls, some girls really don't care if you are dating one or more other girls, they just want to be with you and that is why they accept your cheating, but in the other hand, there are girls that just don't accept this whole situation but will stick with you because they're masochist... this is very common in real life and was something i could relate a lot in this anime.

From the protagonist perspective...well...Itou-kun was a caring and shy guy... until he got "confused" by his own emotions ( what he really wanted, his own selfishness and ambition ), and did what every male protagonist of a harem plot should do when all the girls are throwing themselves on him... This is another common situation i've seen in real life but this time could not relate to, because although i admit "harem" exist in real life, what happened to Itou-kun would never happen in real life because girls are not so "brainless" as shown in this series, and some would have more self-respect or self-love to be involved with an asshole that baddly...Other thing is the pacing, when an asshole acts, he takes some time after going for the next victim, things happened just to fast for Itou-kun in this series.

The ending was just MORE THAN PERFECT, i will not spoil anything but it was just how i wanted every school life anime series to end. (no one coming from afterlife like in some shitty "visual novel" based anime around there).

Finishing it, School days is the best school life anime i've ever seen in the entire anime history, because it is exactly what a scholl life anime should be like: No shitty, lame and pussy protagonist in a harem plot and an ending worthy of keeping it in your heart forever and ever again...

"LUCKY STAR IS A MASTERPIECE",

That is how i ended when i finished the series and everyone were asking me, how can you like this crap ??? and i replied, because i have a good taste for craps ;)

My first impression to lucky star was => WEAK, sorta of WTF ? or WTH ? among others,

The first episode itself is ridiculous, people focus on a mindless/useless discussion about "how is the right way to eat stuff" in the ENTIRE episode... i didn't get it... what ??? where is the story ? the plot ? well... soon i would realize i wasn't watching a normal anime...

This is ... were people drop it, right in the beginning , because Lucky Star is a stupid and ridiculous show, most of the jokes doesn't fit the situation for anyone to laugh but the scenes are hilarious, it is just like if it were a contradiction to itself...in fact Lucky Star is a big contradiction against itself.

A few episodes latter i could recognize Izumi Konata as one of the best characters ever in "the entire anime history" (i love to spam this phrase) , she has charisma, charm, although being a girl, she is a little mainly, lazy and a lot of other connotative adjectives that would make her even more awesome if i kept writing about her...

By the half way of the series, my impressions on lucky had improved a lot, because i managed to realize very soon that it wasn't a series for you to take seriously, reaaaaaaly, not plot to a show, means no value to it ? Lucky Star taught me that even with a very bad or no plot at all it could manage to be fun and entertaining...

But then you'd ask... what about naruto filler ? Well...lucky star can be as bad as it, but for the record, lucky star never managed to do more than it had initially proposed, naruto in the other hand, did everything to be a great show but got watered down latter because of the fillers. This never happens to lucky star.

FILLERLESS, this one is my favorite, how can you distinguish an episode being a filler if the whole series is plotless ? Or everything is filler then ? Or just some scenes of the episode were filler ? like lucky channel for instance ?

Lucky star contradicts itself many and many times, with extremely boring scenes at times and amazing and awesome scenes at other times...but the jokes are always crappy...and then i started to ask myself ? did they made this on purpose ?

This is one of the most annoying thing about lucky star, believe me, i was throwing stuff at my TV when it showed off at the begininng , i even thought it was a filler to take the rest of the episode's screen time... but as a big surprise, it caught my attention latter on and i was requiring it to show off every time !

So how can a show be contradictory on purpose and exhibits AMAZING scenes along with CRAPPY ones and AWFUL jokes and still manage to keep the watchers attention ALL the time ?

That is the magic of this show...Its episodes are totally random, and at times i could identify with the scenes, situations and characters (did i mention konata ?) but at others i was totally dull and thinking about how crappy those girls really are...but in a blink of an eye, the scene changes and i was back there...totally interested in it, but a few minutes latter, dull again.

A roller coaster experience ? yes, every episode is just like one, i think this is the best comparison, slow and boring climbing, and fast and amazing fall...then some loops around it self, end a nice and smooth end... all of this just in ONE EPISODE.

What happens to us when we just ride a roller coaster ? want to ride again ! of course, if you can get over with this aspect of lucky star (boring climbing, amazing fall, smooth end) you will get tons of entertaining !

Later On in the series, instead of showing some crappy anime song ending, they did the unthinkable... showing an even more crappy "live" song ending with real actors... just to show how creative this series is...and of course, didn't like in the beginning but was willing to watch it later ;)

I thought a lot about how to rate this series...mainly because it does not have plot, but four things managed to make me give the MASTERPIECE = *** = 10 rating, here it goes:

* Izumi Konata
* Episode Randomness (Filler that is worth watching)
* Hilarious Scenes (not the jokes however)
* Contradictions on purpose

Lucky Star is a prof that you can't judge an anime for its firsts couple of episodes alone, and you must give a fair chance to really enjoy them, plus, plotless animes can have some big value and of course you mustn't take it seriously, because it is bad on purpose.

This is a TRUE and VALUABLE review and opinion of MINE, don't get confused about my crappy Clannad After Story Review ;)

Remember the time when Claymore sucked ? Neither do i ! This is easiest one of my favorite series of all time.

In a medieval world, there are monsters called Yoma, they love to eat human flesh and they often disguise themselfs with human form... it is not rare a yoma disguising as one of their eaten victims, eating their brain to gain their memories the disguise becomes even perfect.

Imagine the terror one would have to live in a world like this...constantly haunted by demons.

But don't panic ! There is hope and they are here to help us ! (or they are just following orders in ... exchange of money ? )

Yes ! Claymores ! It is the name given to a female warrior whose have made a pact of blood with the yoma, thus gaining some of their ability to regenerate their body (defensive type) or increase speed and attack power (offensive type). They can sense if a human is a disguised yoma or not. They are controlled by an organization which aims to protect humans from yomas.

In fact, claymores are not the heroes for justice or human salvation in any form, most of them are dragged by their own sentiments of hatred/suffering/revenge.

It is a great action show, with consistent fights and terror. Why did i mention terror ? because unlike other action/fighting animes like dragon ball z where people often gets their ass beaten by big explosions and their body parts don't fall apart, in claymore a misjudged moves would rather result in a loss of an arm, a head or in a fatal wound. So the entire show you are immersed in this atmosfere, with terrific fights meaning the characters could die at any time and often severely wounded.

As the plot develops, you start to get the "BIGNESS" of their world, and you realize that the most powerfull enemies are light-years away from the claymores, leaving a feeling of impotence and weakness, increasing the tension and the terror they must face.

But most people criticize the end of the series, stating they didn't follow the manga and etc... but for me was more than perfect, as the internal conflits around the protagonist comes to a closure and raki, the most useless and pathetic (fighting?) character of the entire anime history, would not later become a baddass fighter as in the manga, preventing an inconsistent powerup which would drop the series rating.

Claymore is a violent, terrific, full of terror, baddas action anime series of all time, it is only better than Berserk because they didn't animate the black swordsman/conviction arcs onward which Berserk's history starts to get similar.

Is Kamina GAR ?! The answer is not really, if he had shut the fuck up, he would never get his ass beaten everytime and the only thing that could ever save him from trouble was simon with the spiral power/lagann attacked to its gamen.

What happens here is a NON-STOP action from begining to end. It is about human conflits over evolution and exagerated-consumption of resources, depleting everything on the name of science and growth, but at the same time, it focus on oppressed people, rationalization of resources that are scarce and dreams that people have over better days, about the forbidden door people are ... afraid of passing through.

It takes courage tough, and in a blink of an eye, the truth is revealed, things starts to move in an incredible speed, and with passion and determination (and a bit of luck?) there're victories and gains, thus providing the growth of the cast and the improvements/evolution of their past way of life.

In the majority of episodes people are at war, in conflict and fighting in a straighfoward manner, i mean, no plot twists and you'll get exactly what you expected.

The only thing in my vision that is inconsistent is Yoko. Fanservice Anyone ? C'mon the girl is supposed to have 14 years old and she has large breasts which girls that age don't have any...especially if they are slim like Yoko is. The only thing that is acceptable about her is that she gets enloved by someone of the cast close to her (NO SPOILS). "It is because a girl in that age would fall in love with a trashcan if it looked at her the right way." (Citation: By Baka-Raptor).

Finishing it, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is a great action anime with very little romance, lot's of mechas and mechas destructions, with the political ideologies i stated before (grow and consume/opress and rationalize) being exposed and the "spiral" power everyone have in their own hearts that can be unleashed to make impossible things possible.

Remember the time when Honey and Clover sucked ? Neither do i ! This is easiest one of my favorite series of all time.

This review is about the two series (Honey and Clover I & II) and it's one of those stories where you get an overdrama around things, everything that could go wrong happens and enloved people never get reciprocal feelings. But at the same time there is lots of commedy, as people tend to laugh at their disgrace and others. It is not one of that shows that will bore you, it's rewatch value is very high, the plot has lots of ... twists, character development is superb, it is not just your cheap romance you're used to have ! It is that deep ! And it takes you to many situations where you can trace a parallel in your life, identify yourself with characters and/or situations , think about life itself and so on...

Sometimes you can get mad by characters decisions , but as the plot develops you'll understand/accept their decisions and by the end...you'll notice that there really wasn't any other better way to reach that result...it's just like in real life... there're no such things as fairy tales... you can't really force someone that you love, to love you, if that person loves someone else... it's hopeless no matter how hard you try, because when people love, people get blind, and it is no use for you to try to dismiss that spell. That people alone has to open its own eyes and realize the painfull truth.

Honey and Clover has a priceless charm as it is more dramatic than romantic and it is full of commedy, but as i stated before, it is not boring, it keeps your attention in an interesting way full of plot twists and surprises... and the grand finale... i bet it will make you love this series forever.

Imagine yourself being a man (if you aren't) and living in a planet full of other dudes... i mean ... NO REAL WOMAN !!!!

This would sond like a gay anime, but it is not !!! Because of this premise it is rather natural that men end up coupling with others... i mean... other men.

So the anime starts with Otaru (the protagonist) finding himself not interested at all in other men, and get interested in human female androids. But these are merely machines , that has no "heart" and only serves his master at his command.

The show then develops in one of the most famous ... themes around the clock *** ROBOT WITH FEELINGS *** , as Otaru ends up with not only one female android that has feelings, but with three at the sametime, with different personalities and an inexplicable love for otaru... thus they all start to live together and the girls fighting with each other to see which one will gain otaru's love, attention and marriage.

But otaru is much of a wuss to pick any of them or get laid anyway.... at least he's man enough to dump any guys with "strange" intentions towards him...

With a slight harem plot like that otaru still manages to be some kind of (weak?) fighter and becoming a hero for the famous story of saving the world from destruction and etc...

Saber Marionette J is an excelent comedy and i bet all of you who are man would like to be on otaru's skin, with three girls upon you pushing you towards the sides and all, BUT you would have to contain yourself and be impartial or a foursome would rather result in a change of category to HENTAI. (See what happened to Golden Boy, for instance)

Oh my. Naruto. I almost shed a tear when rated it so low, because i wanted it to be any better than what it has become.

Naruto is for me on of the best anime out there if you only count from episode ONE to NINETY NINE. It has commedy, no romance, action and excelent fights and a great character development for the protagonist and perhaps other "sub" characters like gaara for instance.

The way naruto finds his way to release the "hidden fox" inside of him and the way naruto rivals with sasuke who would later become his best friend and enemy is superb.

In the beggining ... he is much of a wuss, but he gains strength little by little through tough training and lamen eating... (~datte ba yo ! ^^) and not through inconsistents powerupps !!!

=== BUT ===

After episode 99, there're fillers and the story starts to get slowed down so much that one episode would contain half of the last episode in the form of flashbacks and the other half being flashbacks of earlier parts of the SAME EPISODE... until it gets to a point where you would get FULL SEASONS OF FILLERS and the anime starts to get UNWATCHABLE.

But people tend to forget/ignore this move and that's why he is just another OVERATED series here in anime list.

So if you rate naruto for only his 99 first episodes (10+++) but as a whole series with 220 episodes in total (3~) we get about 45% of the anime being very good and the whole rest not.

Naruto still managed to have a sequence as bad (or worst) than its fillers, called Naruto ShiFillerDen...

Just to finish it, the protagonist has his own name as the title of the series, wich means we can't expect that he will ever die. xD
