Let's start with the technicalities:
The animation looks great, a little shaky at times, but it's a lot better than most recent shows, Mappa has finally mastered their CGI and it's balanced, and the backgrounds, ohh Baby! The backgrounds are stunning and among the best available; the attention to detail was superb.
The studio tried to go a bit realistic with the fight scenes, which resulted in a jittery look, but overall it's high end.
The music (background score) is noticeable, not great but not bad.
The story's overall dark theme was excellent, and it appeared interesting, engaging the viewer.
