Alright buckle up boys and girls, cause this reviewer is bout to rage!
Question time: Do you like Haruhi Suzumiya? Its genius philosophy, supernatural comedic charm, time traveling, kickass music and general random happenings?
Now imagine if the Haruhi Suzumiya series had NONE of that at all.
Well there you go, Disapparance of Nagato-Yuki in a nutshell.
Story 2/10
So the premise is basically "What if Kyon never tried to stop Nagato and just let her rewrite the universe where everyone is normal"
My honest opinion: If you were like me and felt really sorry for Nagato at the ending of Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, well don't feel sorry any
...
longer! Cause this anime will help you come to the decision that Nagato is better off as an emotionless robot after all(This should be a f**king ad!)
A series known for being unique and even greatly influenced anime culture is thrown out of context and replaced with a mediocre slice of life rom-com! And here's the best f**king part, there isn't even a gaddamn confession! Seriously the purpose a rom com is that you build up to a somewhat epic love confession at the last episode and they can't even f**king do that! (Yeah, I can feel all the slice of fans raging over this)
The whole shows feels like an insult to the Haruhi series. Filled with bad plot, recycled jokes from the main Haruhi series (Hell, at one point they tried to reenact Endless Eight) Just...dreadful to watch
Art and Sound 2/10
I know a different studio handled this adaption so I won't point fingers on this part. But just know its still shit
Characters 3/10
Now you may be wondering why I gave this a 3? Well that's cause the show's only saving grace was its side character. Who is this side character you ask? Well, its the f**king diva queen herself, Haruhi gaddamn Suzumiya. In the original series I may have hated her guts but in this one I welcomed it with open arms. I enjoyed every second she was on screen cause she actually advances the plot! (On the 5th episode she marched right in North High and started the uhm...Literature Brigade?)
The other saving grace would be Nagato Yuki herself, halfway through the series Nagato gets in a spontaneous car accident (for plot reasons) and wakes up as the emotionless Nagato we all know and love. When that happened I literally threw my arms in the air and shouted "YES" as loud as I could (Don't get your hopes up tho, it only last for 3 episodes, that was the only good point of the series.)
Btw if you're some horny dude that enjoys all the fanservice Asahina gave in the main series? Forget it, the amount of screen time she got in this series can probably amount up to 1 and a half episodes.
Enjoyment and Overall 1/10
You know how to tell when an anime is bad? Its when the mandatory beach/hotspring episode can't even save the series. Hell, they had BOTH beach and hotspring epsiodes back to back and it still sucked!
Honestly I've never given such a low review before on a series. (Except maybe for Glasslips, now thats another shit stain I'll probably rage about later)
Its so bad that if I had to choose between watching Endless Eight all over again over this series? I'll take my chances with Endless Eight.
But in general, don't watch this, whether you're a Haruhi fan or not just don't watch this garbage

ReLIFE "Man failing in life signs up for lab experiment that make him a 17 year old school student again" the premise of the show was enough to tell me this was going to be an interesting anime.
For those of you that are still confused this show is NOT a time travel anime. Everything happens in real time. The protagonist eats a pill instead of using a machine.
I honestly didn't know what to expect from this anime as this "becoming a kid" stuff has never been tackled before. I was half expecting some dark seinan shit to go down but it turned out to be
...
a slice of life rom-com instead.(Not that I'm complaining) One of the characters is a bit cringing BUT that doesn't stop the show from having one of the most unique love confessions of all time! All I can say is I did not see it coming at all.
The anime does a good job of portraying a grown up in a classroom and how outdated he feels by the current generation and the differences between a school life and working life. All in all, I really enjoyed this anime and really hope a 2nd season is on the way

As someone who played the original God Eater PSP game I approve of this anime.
Story 6/10: Story is pretty mediocre, if you've played the game you roughly know what is going on. Sadly, the anime doesn't follow the PSP story. The good thing is this anime gives you a deeper insight of the God Eater apocalyptic universe and how non-God Eater people live, it also provides flashbacks that show the origin of Aragami and how the world came to shit. (And also why those buildings have giant holes in them. Hint: It wasn't a laser beam). Other than that, there's not much else I can
...
praise about this anime.
Art 10/10: Ufotable. Thats all I can say
Sound 10/10: Again, Ufotable.
Characters 8/10: This is a treat for those who played the original PSP game. Because in the original game you make your own main character so I can't say I was looking forward to the idea of Lenka. But the anime gives us insight of some but not all the characters origins.
Enjoyment 7/10: Maybe I set my standards a bit too high after watching Unlimited Blade Works. Was really hoping for some epic God Eater vs God Eater action. But the monster killing is cool too. Sadly most of the main featured monsters are Vajras and Orgetails. And the combat is more realistic compared to the game.(Haha) The show does fill in the blanks on some unanswered questions found in the game mechanics.
Overall 8/10: Mediocre story, Great characters stories. Here's to hoping for a season 2.

If you start watching from 05:35 - 45:09 the whole thing just feels like a regular OVA. And if you read the Manga its basically a summary of Chapter 45 with a different ending.
And thats exactly how you should watch it!
If you're like me and just finished watching Angeloid of Clockwork OVA and want to conclude your Otoshimono experience by watching this. Boy, are you in a for a load of confusion.
Now if you're confused thats normal because Angeloid of Clockwork takes place in Chapter 39/77 of the Manga. The first 5 mins and the last 5 mins of the OVA takes place from the
...
final chapter (Chapter 77) in the Manga. See the gap? Basically the people that made the OVA expect you to have read the Manga already.
To avoid spoilers, The OVA starts off really serious because its the final chapter, then a flashback happens and you spend the rest of the OVA filled with recycled jokes and fanservice. Then after the flashback we come back to the present where we see a brief 5 min scene of the final chapter with Icarus/Ikaros and Tomo flying and talking before reaching the Synapse and BAM! Credits kick in! Yeah, it ends on a f**king cliffhanger.
So to conclude, if you're a fan of Sora no Otoshimono you have to read the manga no matter what. I suggest after Angeloid of Clockwork just start reading the Manga from Chapter 39 till the end. And if you still want to check out this OVA I highly suggest re-reading the first part of my review before watching

I never thought I'd enjoy an anime about school idols so much that I watched the second season. This was literally what my friend told me when I asked them about Love Live!
"Dude the anime is full of fan service with no plot but if you must watch it just watch it for the girls"
Back then I never heard of idol animes before and I was curious. So I tuned in to this anime expecting a plotless show with dancing and girls flaunting their bodies. Boy was I wrong.
After completing both seasons I was surprised at how sad I was to see this show go.
...
To start its a complete opposite of everything my friend told me. The story was mediocre but nice. The power of friendship is strong in this anime. I enjoyed listening to the songs. And the different personalities of each character is both funny and entertaining to watch.
Only problems you might have with this show is:
1)This is a full female cast anime. Zero male roles. Even supporting characters are all female. If you can't handle the lack masculinity then sorry for you.
2)The dancing is ok but its abit off putting because the art style is changed to 3D.
3)Expecting Hatsune Miku to appear in the 3D scenes (No she doesn't appear, shes not even related to this anime)
If you can overcome all that then this show is worth a watch.

Your Lie in April/Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
Its been awhile since I found an anime capable of leaving me in tears in the most beautiful way possible. Trust A-1 Pictures (Creators of Anohana) to help you on that.
Story 9/10
Without any spoilers, great story with lots of character development. This show honestly blew me away from start to ending. The show does leave a few unanswered questions but nothing bad enough to ruin the show for you.
Art 9/10 and Sound 9/10
Think of each character in the show as a color. Each has their own color and way of expressing it. LOL. But honestly the artwork is
...
good especially in scenes where characters music is expressed as a picture. Its a music anime so no surprise at all the sound is good. You will enjoy everything sound related even the OP and ED songs. You don't have to be a music enthusiast to enjoy this show. But there's a possibility you'll start listening to Beethoven and Chopin after watching this anime. The way A-1 Pictures mixed both sound and art together is truly one of the reason this show is worth your time.
Character 9/10
22 episodes mean each character in the show has their own moment in the spotlight and the pacing of the show is great
Enjoyment 9/10
Like most slice of life anime it starts off slowly but as you progress through the episodes you will experience a roller coaster of emotions.
Overall 9/10
Even though this is my first music anime, I will be comparing this anime with other music anime in future reviews that's how high I regard this show. For me personally this show was like a puzzle. The story was a puzzle and each episode was like a puzzle piece, as you slowly complete the puzzle piece by piece a beautiful picture will start to form. And when you've completed the puzzle, you will know what was the lie in April
Thanks for reading!

Sword Art Online. I honestly didn't care for this show until my friends on Facebook constantly talked about it alongside AoT and the fact it managed to get a second season was what got me interested. Let me just put it in a simple way for those who want short reviews. This is a fantasy romance/slice of life story not a action filled AoT type show. Short review over.
Long Review:
Story 6/10: At first glance it looks like an awesome action filled anime worth your time judging from the OP alone. Then by episode 4 the hype dies. Due to the lack of budget for the
...
production team there are alot of timeskips present in the first half of the series. Example: Kirito is level 10 in EP1, level 50 in EP2, has legendary items in EP3. Due to the timeskips character development is mostly focused on the two main leads while supporting characters get little to almost no screentime at all. If you were wondering why I said this show fits the slice of life genre is because somewhere in the show Kirito and Asuna spend some time together at a lake house alone. The lake house part last 3 episodes. What happened there? I guess only those who read LN might know.
Art 6/10: Fair enough for an anime of today not really anything to shout about
Sound 7/10: By sound I mean the OP and ED song played in every episode. I quite enjoyed listening to both ED songs. As for the OST played during intense scenes I honestly don't really pay attention to that.
Character 7/10: In the first half there is almost no character development present because of the timeskips save for the lake house part so I was prepared to give it a 6/10 if not for the second half. The second half give more insight on Kirito's family particularly his relationship with his sister.
Enjoyment 6/10: This was a tough one. As a fan of romance/slice of life I enjoyed looking at it as a love story but I am sorely disappointed at the lack action that was promised in the show.
Overall: SAO ends at episode 14. Episode 15 onwards is considered unnecessary and a waste of time unless you're a hardcore romance fan and want to see more Kirito and Asuna.

Ano Natsu special/OVA.
All I can say is WARNING: If you've enjoyed the original series don't bother watching this. Only watch this if you like nostalgic moments and want to be reminded of this series.
In short the whole episode feels like a love letter to fans who miss the show with some old jokes thrown in. Hence the nostalgia.
Full review (SPOILERS INCLUDED):
Ano Natsu special/OVA takes place 2 years after the original series. Where we learn that the main characters are already in their final year of high school and graduating soon. Sounds like a great plotline right? Wrong.
...
To begin, Ichika & Lemon-senpai are missing from the episode.
Not entirely true. Actually they only make cameo appearances.
Lemon rejoined the MIB in episode 12 so it makes sense if she doesn't appear at all in the OVA. But for Ichiko, if you watched the last scene of Episode 12 you notice that in the school festival film Ichika is saying her lines while wearing the jacket Kai's sister bought for her. So that means she did come back to earth shortly sometime after Episode 12 ended because the film was made during the summer and shown immediately at the school festival after summer vacation ended. But here we are shown that Ichiko never came back at all during those 2 years and everyone is still moving on. So what happened? Sadly we never got an answer.
Next, instead of discussing how their lives have progressed after the events of Episode 12 (And why Ichika is missing), 8 mins into the OVA Kai decides to watch one of his old film reels and from there we spend the next 10 mins of the 23 mins episode observing the lives of the main cast ONE DAY before they made their movie. So I guess like most animes this OVA is a prequel? (Surprise, surprise)
As I've mentioned the old film reel part turns the entire episode from Sequel to Prequel. We see reruns of old jokes like Lemon-senpai tricking everyone into getting drunk and Ishigaki's sister calling her husband an idiot.
Soon after the reel ends (And we're left with only 5 mins of screentime), Kai meets up with the rest of the old cast (Ichiko still missing of course) and they hang out like old times. In the final scene we're taken to space where we (finally) see a cameo of Ichiko looking out the spaceship window excitedly (presumably because she is coming back to earth)
As I've said its a pure nostalgic episode with no plotpoint at all. Meant to be a love letter to fans so I give it a 6 because whie I am happy to see Ano Natsu again I would prefer if made something more plot significant or didn't make this episode at all.
