School Days (Anime) add

Now onto the very controversial School Days. School Days isn't your average slice of life romance where the character never chooses a girl. In fact, Makoto, the main protagonist, makes the choice of getting all of them.

Story: 4/10
School Days has the advantage of having no plot holes whatsover. Moreover, its story manages to piss off the viewer in less than 4 episodes making it a torture to watch. After seeing it, you'll even find Guilty Crown good. Its pure awesomeness resides in the fact that once the story is settled you cannot feel anything but hatred towards this anime if you haven't dropped it ... yet that is. I love how the story has no incoherent developpement (except for the characters but I'll talk about it later) and even manages to please the viewer with its awesome ending. Personnally, I couldn't do anything but love the way School Days ended; it was a burst of freedom.

Art: 1/8
The art is just bad. I mean, even for a 2007 anime, the girls aren't even cute and the backgrounds look sooooo freaking rushed.

Sound: 1/8
Bad OST, bad OP, bad ED (did it even have one?). I mean, since the story wasn't great, I didn't expect much in the artistic domain and guess what ? I didn't get much !

Character: 1/10
Why can't I rate it 0! The characters in School Days are beyond illogical. It isn't the sort of "illogical" humans can be, it's beyond that. They act in random ways. The character developpement is present within the first few episodes and then it becomes a senseless massacre. The way the chararacters interacted with Makoto was incoherent. Girls went to bed too easily. The script was written in such a bad way, and it is easy to see that it crumbles 3 episodes into the anime. There is still a sub-plot which stays good until it ends but that's about it.

Enjoyment: 1/10
I've never harbored such feelings of hatred towards an anime. I have to praise School Days for making me feel something while watching it. I quite 'liked' how it pictured the vile human nature but it wasn't realistic enough for me to buy it.

Overall: 1.6/10
A lot of anime come of as average and are easily forgetten but that isn't the case with School Days. This rollercoaster of nothingness manages to make you hate the main protagonist so much and pity all the girls. Kenji was right, it's a conspiracy.

Well, that's about it for School Days. Also, no offense but people who say School Days is good because it is a psychological anime are just fucking with you or are trying to play smart. There may be some people who genuinely appreciated this anime but I don't think they are numerous.

Have a nice time watching it, that is if you ever want to watch it.

Nagi no Asu kara (Anime) add

Nagi no Asukara is a story about two races of humans. One of them lives on Earth the second in the sea. I've got to say, the setting is actually a great one and can give birth to a good story but it failed to do so.

Story: 3/10
As stated before, the setting is original. The plot line however fails to bring forth anything. To put it in simple terms, it was crap from start to end. Basically, we follow a few youngsters and their romance. There is no goal whatsoever and the romance isn't even properly developped. They completely scrapped the idea within the setting ...

Absolute Duo (Anime) add

Not Recommended

Absolute duo is about students who have weapons of the soul called blazes. Blazes can only hurt the soul..... At this point you already wonder how bad the show is going to be with such childish characteristics.

Story:
The plot is average. It isn't very well developped and it doesn't feel smooth at all, rather it sometimes feels a bit far-fetched. We have a bunch of kids getting involved into dangerous scenarios with adults which are close to non-existant. Moreover, you get a sort of dramatic feel on the first episode since everyone has to sacrifice something but that gets shattered to pieces later on because why ... not make it worse? Of course, just as expected there is still a plot line left undevelopped even though you'd have a good idea concerning it at the end.
I haven't got much to say to defend the plot except from the fact that blazes can actually hurt people which is a very little consolation.

Art:
This is where this anime lacks the most. The characters are beatifully drawn but the action scenes feel like role battles where each character attacks one at a time. There are a billion errors in every fight and all of them are easily noticeable. If you pay attention you can even see some oddness in the drawings during the fights and the pictures feel off every so often. Overall, I think it doesn't really deserve its Action tag.

Sound:
The background music is well-made. It serves to add some tension when everything else fails at doing so. The ED is above average, and the OP is good.

Character:
This is where this show should have some worth. The character are well-made altough a tad generic and sometimes gullible and weak. The strength of this anime lies within the interactions in between the charactes. Dialogues that feel akward or out of place don't show themselves much unlike in most anime.
Then a character was introduced and we inherited the classical interactions that you would except for a very low tier anime. This anime's qualities weren't numerous but it still managed to destroy most of them.
Lastly, let's talk about the boobsy HAREM. As we all know, 90% of boobsy harems are completly crappy animes. Absolute Duo does a good job at hiding the harem aspect of it but it jumps in your face when the previously mentioned character appears.

Enjoyment:
This show is hard to watch. I think it could have been a good show if there was less drama. It feels out of place. Though the drama isn't the only thing that needs to be fixed I think it'd be a good start.

Overall: 3/10
This show isn't half bad but still lacks a lot in term of action and plot. I think most people would be able to watch it but it won't ever be considered good. Maybe if it was focused on them growing and ranking up in the academy with more character developpement it would have been much better. Also, if you are looking for an Action anime Absolute Duo doesn't fit the bill.
Overall, you should probably avoid this show and try to find another one that is not this bad. This has reach the point of non return. If a second season were to be aired which I highly doubt, I would Absolutely watch it just so I could spit some more on it with another review.

Mixed Feelings

Story: 3/10
I'll try my best no to spoil anything... How can you describe the story? The story is inconsistent from the very begining to the end. The first few episodes follow a storyline that has quite an original setting (NB: a vaccin isn't used this way) and is decent. Then for the rest of the show the story makes no sense at all. A whole bunch of unbelievable coincidences happen which don't make any sense. It feels like the story was out of breath and the author added that at the end to be able to make it more interesting. It had the opposing effect.
